Haha, easier said than done. When I go out and drink with my friends we inevitably start approaching chicks and the process of escalating and pushing to see how far I can go has become automatic. I've had a close call or two. Still working on it and figuring out how "committed" I am.

Personally I feel that if you're feeling the need to cheat when you probably don't really want to be with that girlfriend or wife anyways, in which case why not just break up with her and wreak the benefits of not having to constantly be looking over your shoulder while gaming other girls?

The thing about cheating is that you want to have your cake and eat it too as someone said. Imagine eating every single day, yes every single day your favourite dish. At one point you will get fed up and you fantasise about getting another dish. It is just human nature.
And guess what happened once I was caught? Yes, there was drama, but that's normal, however afterwards, she improved drastically. Some chicks rationalise that if you cheat to her, it is because it is all her fault. Sure, not all the chicks are going to think like that, but there is a high chance that she might. If she asks you why you did that, just say something like you were not satisfied and as a result your relationship with her might actually become much stronger.

P.s.: This scenario doesn't include kids.

If it were me I wouldn't give a flying fuck about losing a woman in my 20s. That's one point in life I can't take seriously. You don't even become a worldly man until you're in your mid 30s if that's what you strive to be. You've really barely even experienced anything at 20 and I don't mean sticking your dick in everything that moves, I mean literal life experiences.

Most cultures built in control mechanisms to mitigate female mate choice stupidity, however liberalism and technology have destroyed those things.

So, we are actually left with a reverse natural selection issue... where the stupidest, laziest, least able to survive outbreed the hard working intelligent folks.

Question for the round here, my wife keeps asking me lately if I'm going to see my girlfriend when I go to work and if I have any work trips. (I have a 1 hour commute) Do you guys think it is just a shit test? I do have an affair at the moment and have been more annoyed with the wife than usual but have not said anything.

Yes and no. No, in that she suspects. Yes, in that if she really knew she would keep it quiet for the time being.

Women always know to some degree. A major tell for women that you are cheating is that you become quickly annoyed with them. If there was a time for playful humor rather than quick annoyance, now is it.

Relationships are very complex, especially long term and marriage. It's very easy to toss rocks at say a married guy with kids who cheats. Maybe some have more ability to resist temptation than others.
My personal opinion is don't moralize, try being in a long term marriage when your wife turns off the tap so to speak. Good luck with your high morals in that case. It is well documented the cost and drama of simply leaving so I personally don't see an issue if you are discrete.
And I have seen and experienced first hand deception from "sweet and innocent" women.

The thing I have an issue with is people trying to justify it with cavemen analogies or how it's more "natural". It doesn't matter if monogamy is not "natural", a man who lies and promises something he won't deliver is simply not a man.

Way different if you decide this over before getting married and your woman knows you are a caveman alpha with a biological imperative to stick it into as many women as possible.

Let's not pretend a man cheating on his wife and destroying his family is somehow justified.

Yeah it's one thing if you've been married for years and your wife is just not having sex with you anymore so you decide to get some on the side. While it's not ideal and points to a failure of both people to work on keeping the spark alive, it's something that I can understand. As long as it is discrete. Even in this scenario, you should be continuing to work hard to resuscitate the marriage. What I don't understand is all of these guys who brag about how they're going out and gaming every weekend with different girls or have accounts on SA while they're still getting it at home and the wife is still very interested in the marriage. This to me is unacceptable and if we're going to lecture women about being good wives then we can talk about how guys shouldn't do this shit either.

A one sided or two sided open marriage is not a marriage, it's an arrangement of convenience. I have exactly zero sympathy and zero respect for guys and girls who do this. If you want this lifestyle, then why are you married? The amount of destruction this behavior causes is incalculable, especially if you have children. But hey we live in an age where everyone just does whatever the hell they feel like doing. No self-discipline, no respect, no love, just do what you want to feel good, consequences be damned. No wonder so many people hate their parents these days when they decide to behave like this.
