I don't know if this has been discussed on another thread, but a better app to try is "bumble" apparently works like tinder and the others, but the catch is the girl has to message you first after there is a mutual match.
It takes away any worry of opening lines. The premise was to give women all the power in the dynamic, but they have inadvertently given the Alpha man all the power. You can basically choose who you want to respond to and whom to ignore.

Downsides: after there is a match, the girl had 24 hours to chat you up, if after this there is no comm the match will expire forever. Knowing how lazy and afraid of rejection girls are, this might be a slight demerit.

For those of us on Android, Happn won't work on the Power Saving Mode setting for location services. Need to select High Accuracy or GPS Only which unfortunately use more battery.

Ive been using it for a few days now, the decks seemed to be stacked as they probably only show you girls that already liked you so the match rate is probably 20% at this point.

That aside, the quality is decent. You also get to see the girls for who they really are as they can only use Profile pictures from FB and tagged pictures.

haven't met anyone from there yet, but i just SNL a 5'9 Aussie from Bumble last night. +1

Is there anyway to start fresh on this app like what you can do with tinder?

I deactivated my account, cleared cache/data. restarted and everything seemed like it was wiped out, all crushes/charms.

But now its giving me women old charms again.

Steps to get lots of matches on happn:

1. Download a location spoofer. I use fakeGPS free on Android. On iPhone you need to jailbreak.
2. Spoof your location all around the city, switching locations to random spots. This then tricks happn into thinking you crossed paths with girls when you were actually just watching TV at home.
3. Profit.

The app is pretty dead but the women on it seem to be at least SMV 8.

Assuming that women's SMVs are inflated by 33% on apps while men's decline by say 20%, this makes women's perceived SMV 10.64, therefore this impossible figure and hypergamy causes market failure. In other words very little interaction.

The professional rugby players in my city are on this app so they are likely to be sucking most of the attention from women.

I'm seeing a skyrocketing number of girls moving over to Happn.

The refresh takes 3x as long as it did before and there are that many more girls.

I've had Happn on my phone for the last two weeks and I'll see women who I've crossed paths with. The quality seems to be better than what's on Tinder currently but no one has liked me back yet. I've even sent a few charms but it just goes into the black hole. I'm suspecting that a lot of women installed in on their phones and have forgotten about it. It doesn't have the addictive swipe right/left slot machine effect that Tinder does so many women quickly lose interest.

I agree. I deleted both my Hinge and Happn accounts today. I was able to get some matches on both and a few numbers but no dates. Both apps seem to embody the worst of Tinder with none of the benefits. Women view them as some weird novelty and they don't have the street cred and unspoken expectations that Tinder does. I had two dates setup from Hinge and both flaked before we even met. I never thought I would say this but women seem to take Hinge and Happn a lot less seriously than Tinder, if that's any indication...

3 Matches so far. First one was a fatty(i just wanted to get my first match to see if it worked) and i deleted her. Second one i had a pretty good chat with, but it didn't go anywhere. Last one i managed to get on a date and bang. Seems to be populated with late 20s girls. Lots of "creative" types and professionals.

4/5 good matches. 2 conversations, 1 fizzled, the other fizzling.

As others have mentioned, after the initial novelty passed I realized the sentiment on this app has an even worse window shopping aspect to to it then tinder. I suppose the girls that don't bother reply are the ones that are mass liking but still, it's a frustrating thing if you ask me.

I managed to start speaking to one girl on whatsapp but when I tried to see if she wanted to meet, keeps on making excuses not too, honestly what the f is up with that ?! I don't the idea of stringing people along to chat to 1 on 1 when you have no intention of meeting them, it's weird man.

After a few more weeks of no fap I'll turn superman anyway and say goodbye to this sh1tty dating app!..well..

Does the fake gps work on this? Ive changed my location, logged off and on yet it still only showing profiles from first sign on. Cupid and Tinder show new location matches so I know the location is indeed working.

3 days ago I redownloaded Tinder and I picked this up as well.

I kind of like the concept but it has delivered me 0 results thus far.

I do well on Tinder. I have 100 matches in 3 days sInce getting back into the fray. But this? Zilch. Nada.

Uninstall.

Going to keep trawling through Tinder until something legitimate comes in and takes the number 1 spot.

Yep had the app since lunch time yesterday and not a single match. In the same period I've had a fair few matches on Tinder which are going rather well...

I'll give it until the end of the weekend and if there's still no yield then I'll be uninstalling it....for now

Yes, fake GPS works. I had a couple of GPS "encounters" in some area of Warsaw, all girls that I "charmed", but nothing else "happned", just radio silence... Just deleted the app, Tinder is easier to get matches than Happn.
