Almost exactly two months ago from today, I made this prediction:

My prediction is starting to come true. This morning I saw an article in the Washington Post, saying that all fraternities, better yet all Greek Life at the University Of Virginia were being suspended for 7 weeks.

What could possibly prompt such drastic action? You guessed it, alleged sexual assault that occurred a while back:

The article in Rolling Stone magazine, posted online Wednesday, describes a brutal sexual assault that allegedly occurred in the Phi Kappa Psi house. The victim, who was given an alias by the magazine, said a fraternity member led her upstairs during a party and into a dark room, where several men raped her.

Although the suspension will only last for 7 weeks, most of which will occur over winter break, it is still a profound measure. To punish dozens of organizations and thousands of students for an alleged sexual assault is preposterous.

This seems like a precedent of things to come in the coming years.

They're even admitting that this harsh and fa-reaching action is based on nothing more than a fucking magazine article.

I'd say that this is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read, but I've been reading news a lot last week so it might not even crack the top 10.
