There was a girl back in high school who had a big crush on me in senior year. She liked me since sophomore year. She always showed interest in me and flirted with me but I never showed interest back. I pretty much never even looked at her. She might have continued to have a crush on me but we graduated. That was 10 years ago. I decided to google her name recently just to see what she’s been up to and I found out that she’s in grad school. I found her profile on the grad school website (each student has their own profile on the website). The profile has her grad school email. I want to send her an email saying hi and asking her what she has been up to.

Would she be creeped out? Or would she like the fact that I emailed her because she used to have a crush on me in high school? Would she think that I like her? Would she respond?

It does ping the creep radar, IMO. Doesn't she have Facebook? Do you have any mutual friends, even if its a stretch?

Who gives a shit if it creeps her out. IT might creep her out it might not... but there is a 100% chance that if you dont do it, then whatever you hope to gain by contacting her will never manifest.

If she ask how you found her email tell her that your cyber stalker skills have improved leaps and bounds since highschool... then just start a normal conversation.

It might come across as a little "creepy" (see how I put that in quotes), but I guess ultimately you have to ask yourself, do you really give a fuck? Also, would there be any repercussions from her thinking you are a creepy dude, do you have friends in the same social circle, if not maybe there's more potential upside than not, if some how she responds or shows interest it may be worth the risk.

friend her on facebook. after she accepts.....wait a few weeks or so and send an innocuous message saying "hey, I noticed you were_(some mutual friends name) friend on facebook also back when I friended you. How have you been?"

Creep is an over used word that women use to describe men that pursue them but they themselves are not interested in.

Just send her the email. If she's not interested she likely won't respond. Who cares if that's the case. Although I would try to find her on Facebook first before going the email route.

Great advice per usual. This is one of the few good uses for Facebook. It provides nice plausible deniability for reconnecting with chicks. I've been successful using this approach a few times. Chances are she knows why you're reconnecting with her (cause this is a move chicks pull all the time - if I girl you haven't talked to in years suddenly contacts you out of the blue 90% chance she wants the D) and she wont respond if she's not at least curious. Just play it cool and don't be too rushed about it.

But maybe, must maybe, she is super excited to her from you. She gets wet just thinking about you. She then responds and you take it from there.

See the logic? You have everything to gain and nothing to lose.

Though, I do agree with some others that you don't want to ask her out in your first e-mail. You want to establish contact and build some comfort. And then ask her to get a drink.

Being "creepy" doesn't exist. It was just invented for girls who wanna reject a guy.

I'd go with memcpy's advice and forget about it, perhaps send a request "out of the blue" and "I just saw your name somewhere" or anything that makes you look not needy.
