Quote:A review of Erdely’s notes show that even mundane facts obtained from Jackie appeared to be false. At one point, Jackie told Erdely that her best friend freshman year was a woman named Kathryn Hendley and that they had known each other for “years.” In an interview with The Post, Hendley said that she had known Jackie only for three months before the alleged incident.
Basic fucking journalism skills, come on.
Quote:During a reporting trip to Charlottesville, Erdely asked Jackie to see the scars on her back.
“I was trying to look for them earlier, and they’re not distinct anymore,” Jackie told Erdely.
Erdely’s notes show that Jackie’s boyfriend quickly chimed in: “I haven’t really seen any marks on your back.”
Red flags....
Here's my favourite part:
Quote:At one point, she even talked her way into the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity house and ventured to the top floor — where Jackie said she had been raped — saying that she and other students acting as her guides needed to use a restroom.
Erdely appropriating Roosh's tactics!!

The white women were making all these standard feminist argumentations about how she doesn't need to proof this or that, etcetera. But the african american male was able to shut them all up by referencing history.
He said that white women in the past used to get black males lynched through false rape accusations; all the white women needs to do to get a black male lynched by an angry mob of white males is to claim "he raped me". There is no need for trial or evidence, etc.
Which is fundamentally unfair and horrendous.
My AA colleague then turn to the white women and asked, how is this any different?
If you think a women rape claim should not be challenged now, then are you saying that during jim crow all those white women that falsely claimed black male raped them is okay? There shouldn't be a trial and investigation to determine if those white women were lying?
None of the white women could answer back.
My AA colleague then finished it off with something along line of "what was happening to black men then by white women; is what is happening now to white men by white women."
This is the "To Kill a Mockingbird" argument, and a good one at that. I need to remember that next time.

Since these feminists/sjw do not want to be seen as racist; You think the argument worked in that specific case because the person making the argument is a protected minority?

I always figured that nothing good would come from the American girl's unhealthy obsession with Law and Order (and other grisly murder shows). Turns it, Jackie was such an eager fan that she drew her inspiration from Law and Order: SVU.
Quote:3) Jackie's Obsession with Law and Order: SVU Played a Role
Did Jackie base her story on an episode of Law and Order: SVU? It seems plausible.
According to the documents, Jackie told Erdely she was obsessed with the show—she recalled, off the top of her head, that main character Elliot Stabler departed the show after its 12th season.
Jackie told Erdely that her assault called to mind a specific episode in which a female college student is gang raped by fraternity members. No one believes the girl, and she eventually commits suicide.
Jackie also said that some time after her assault, she re-watched the episode with her father. This prompted her to tell him, for the first time, that what happened to the girl on the show had also happened to her.

There are some decent Law and Order series (Criminal Intent is my favourite), but as soon as I saw SVU I knew it was sick, and that the people who became fans would not be normal people.
Even Ice-T couldn't save it.

I was thinking of going down the line of:
"So, all of the AA men who were lynched for rape in the south 100 years ago were guilty as well?"

Quote:The University of Virginia student who fabricated a gang rape story published in Rolling Stone got a tattoo to commemorate the supposed assault and her ability to overcome it, the story’s reporter testified on Friday.
News of the tattoo came to light as former Rolling Stone reporter Sabrina Rubin Erdely testified for the third day in a $7.9 million federal defamation suit filed against the magazine by former University of Virginia Associate Dean Nicole Eramo.
After a recorded interview that Erdely had with the woman was played for the jury, Erdely said that the woman had lifted up her dress to show the tattoo, a female symbol with a fist on a rose.
“She wanted the tattoo to memorialize the rape and her ability to overcome it,” Erdely testified in U.S. District Court.
“Did it ever occur to you that somebody would get a tattoo to memorialize something that never occurred?” asked defense attorney Scott Sexton.
Quote:Ms Eramo’s attorneys moved to admit as evidence a video of Ms Erdely discussing an article about folk singer Michelle Shocked that earned her a college journalism award from Rolling Stone.
In the video, Ms Erdely acknowledged that “just about everything in the story was wrong”.
She stated that she had missed most of the press conference where Shocked spoke and then “borrowed whatever facts” she could find in media publications at the time to write the article.
Ms Eramo’s legal team argues the video reflects “the same kind of attribution problems” that occurred in “A Rape on Campus.”
That juicy bit of character background aside, this lawsuit just feels like a high profile scrag fight to me.

I'm going to go out in the morning and get "USN" and a big anchor tattooed on my biceps. Might have them ink "Battle of Hormuz" under it somewhere. Just to commemorate my imaginary service in a conflict that never happened.
Oh, and of course, the word "unbreakable."
The sad part about this story is that a real rape victim at UVA may now have to struggle to be believed, because one dishonest student let her imagination run wild.

They won't. This complete disaster hasn't done anything to change the narrative. Campuses still promote the rape culture lie and still believe and protect the accuser (as long as it isn't a man). If anything, they've doubled down on the lies by trying to find an actual rape so they can say, "See it's just as common as we always said!!!"
Meanwhile, after all the searching and encouraging fake victims to come forward, the best they can come up with is the Stanford case...which wasn't even rape.

My heart goes out to all the gang rape victims at UVA: now that an insane chick's made-up story has fallen apart, one wonders how anything will get done with all the unabashed raping these honors students are going to be getting away with.
Philosophical question: is there any event in this universe, even hypothetically, that women shouldn't be considered the primary victims of?

Jesus H. Christ. This crazy woman got a tattoo of a rape that never happened? Sadly, the old adage is that if you tell a lie enough times, it becomes the truth.
Why isn't she in jail for these lies?
@polymath
At this point, I don't even think there's any event like that anymore.

It does to the lie teller.
I barbecued at a shelter for homeless veterans early last night. I'm an amazing barbeque chef, but that's beside the point.
Every one of these guys will tell you they were either Army special forces, navy seals, or highly secretive and exciting air force soldiers. Theres guys that say they were marsoc that separated before marsoc was formed.
One guy has a tattoo to commemorate his fallen buddies he fought side by side with in the black hawk down Mogadishu event. His papers show a later enlistment date.
Green Beret on a skull tattoos were popular.
Some of these guys are disability cheats, but most of them are just mentally I'll.
That's now obviously this Jackie girl's situation.
It's unfortunate (but all-too predictable) that this story was largely memory-holed when the truth started to come out. I bet if you asked the average person about the UVA rape story they wouldn't know the entire thing was a hoax. At best, they might remember some sort of controversy over the details of the victim's claims. Such is the power of the media to control the narrative.
In hindsight, it's almost unbelievable how fake this story turned out to be. Even as one of the first skeptics, I had no idea of the depth of the deception in which Jackie Coakley was intentionally engaging. It seemed likely to me that she invented the story in revenge after being spurned by a fraternity brother following a drunken hookup. I mean, that would at least make some sort of sense. But the truth ended up making no sense whatsoever: the entire thing was a bizarre, quixotic plot to paint herself as a victim in order to make a boy like her. The fictional Haven Monahan persona and Dawson's Creek dialogue are cringeworthy. It's difficult to believe this actually happened. Truth is not only stranger than fiction, in this instance truth is so strange that the mind rebels - how the fuck was this even possible? How demented was this girl to not only invent this story in the first place, but to go along with it to the degree as she did?
It's amazing how much damage can be done by the lies of a sociopathic young woman. Careers and reputations were destroyed. Multiple lawsuits have resulted. Violence and vandalism was directed at the (completely innocent) fraternity named in the story. None of that mattered to Jackie Coakley. She was completely unconcerned what effects her lies would have on other people. Her solipsism was all-consuming. In her twisted mind, all of the potential damage her lies might cause to the lives of other people paled in importance when compared to her feelings. So entitled was she to the affections of this boy that she was willing to destroy the lives and reputations of numerous people in a harebrained attempt to secure them. This seemed perfectly reasonable to her, and was not a crime of passion as it were, but rather a hoax perpetuated over many months, an endless stream of lies spat out brazenly and comfortably.
Jackie Coakley is a fucking monster and an utter sociopath. That must never be forgotten.
"For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away. But the word of the Lord endureth forever.” - 1 Peter 1:24-25
The lies of men -- particularly the kind of hardscrabble men you're talking about -- are heavy and desperate, and full of vice and shame.
A woman lies like she breathes. Jackie is a nutty whore, for sure, but is she as thickly and miserably mentally ill as those homeless vets? No. She's just like countless other females, nuttier than most but not different in kind. And her slut tat may have literally had nothing to do with her imaginary "gang rape" -- it was just another easy lie, effortlessly offered by Jackie and greedily swallowed by the sleazy and mendacious female reporter Sabrina Rubin Erdely, as bad as Jackie in every way but older and more firmly rooted in the day to day reality of a casually evil purpose.
The words and the tears of women vanish without a trace, they are the most weightless and immaterial things in the world. The tats, though, are indelible and abide in their uncompromising ugliness, along with the male lives that are destroyed by these whimsical lies.

On this subject, I strongly recommend that everyone watch this video of the latest lying slut to accuse Trump of molesting her in some way. In this case, his hand supposedly brushed against her breast for a fraction of a second almost 20 years ago, and this has permanently ruined her life.
Watch this video very closely -- both the hard minded and dreadfully named lawyer hag Gloria Allred and the still very fuckable lying and crying airhead MILF and "yoga teacher" that she trots out -- and you can understand almost all there is to know about women:

...and how eager it was for Rolling Stone to believe her. So far in the trial their vetting of Jackie Coakley was "how can she lie?" and believing every word. You hear a lot about confirmation bias in social media but this story was confirmation bias to Rolling Stone...effectively clickbait.

Basically, Erdely coaches Jackie through her tall tales. Setting her up with questions like 'aren't fraternitys all rape factories anyways? Don't you feel a responsibility to name the fraternity that raped you?'. Each time Jackie makes an excuse for her utterly unbelievable fairy tale, Erdely responds with a piece of trauma theory from her favorite source the rape tourrettes on campus.
