RE: Season depression/loss of libido
I live up in the North of England where it gets dark as hell, after spending most of May-September in Poland, France and Spain I experienced a lot of sunshine. Now SAD has hit me like a train and for the past 2 weeks i've been having depressive symptoms to the max.

I've also been having a mediocre diet with barely any vegetables or fruits. Then recently I picked up cod liver oil with vitamin D, A, vitamin C and zinc as well as began to eat more veggies and fruits and I feel like myself again. I know supplementation is recommended for treating seasonal depression but I just want to give my own experience. It works, I feel better in all ways and for anyone with seasonal depression take my word for it and add some vitamin A, D (most important), C and zinc to your diet as well as following what's written on this thread.

RE: Season depression/loss of libido
I take these all year round and notice among many other things, they help, but that sometimes I feel at this point the reset and extra rest your mind needs catches up. For some reason I detect a little change around this time of year, usually, as well. It's not a big dip, but often I can discern that compared to months past, it is not the high level of motivation or mental acuity that is sustained. Usually you can tell that something has changed by what you feel like when awaking or how much sleepier you are at certain times. The good news is, you fight through it and you always come out of it.

Get your passport ready!

RE: Season depression/loss of libido
I actually feel entirely different during Winter. I may lose a bit of "will to have fun", meaning I can grind and focus on work, education and all this stuff that literally seems impossible to do once it's summer and 30 degrees hot outside.

As far as I consider vitamins to be a great addition to your diet, what usually works much better as mood booster for me is a proper workout. Seriously, hitting the gym and lifting iron hard can be a game changer and most importantly hard workout always leads to LIBIDO increasement. Well, unless you overwork yourself both mentally and physically, then it's even worse, but as we live in 2017 lack of physical activity is a very common cause of any depressions, low libido etc.
