I call myself an atheist whenever the subject of religious beliefs comes up because of a social connotation that it carries - if you have some story to sell me about who god is, what his morals are, what rewards and punishments he metes out to humans based on how they conduct themselves on earth, I'm not buying it.

The true answer to the question "where does the universe come from" is way over my head.

Sorry to perform necromancy, here, but my views have changed.

Right now, I'm pretty much an Orthodox Christian. How do I reconcile that with the player lifestyle? Damned if I know. The Church makes me think about my life, the world, and God. Sure, I'm no saint. But didn't the Blessed Augustine say "Lord, make me chaste, but not yet?"

Also, there's yet to be a good scientific explanation for the Holy Lights that appear at the tomb of Christ on Pascha. Just watching it on YouTube was a profound experience.

I'm spiritual and consider myself Christian but I don't read the Bible (only the Gospel of Thomas which isn't in there, I consider the main Bible edited and a corruption) and don't go to church. I don't need some preacher telling me what God is thinking.

IMO Agnosticism is the only truly logical choice. To say there is no God is just as illogical to say there is one. There is no valid evidence on either side of the argument.

I often wonder if God (assuming their was one) himself would be Agnostic?

How could God be sure he was not trapped inside a virtual reality Matrix style simulation? In which he was fooled by some superior intelligence into thinking he was "God".

It seems the nature of knowledge is such that these doubts could never be entirely eradicated. The best that even God could hope for would be to be 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999​999999% sure he was God, and not just being trolled by some kind of super computer.

It is not much. But - just before God sends me to Hell for not believing in him (and for thinking he is an asshole either way) - I am going to try this argument on him to see if he can see that the only rational position would be for him to be a little skeptical as well.

This is how I see it. (A)theism deals with the belief in a god. (A)gnosticism deals with the existence of a god. I do not know if god exist, but if his existence is proven, I will remain an atheist as I will refuse to submit to his will.

For practical reasons, I largely keep my opinions to myself in public, but when I hear an adult tell me they are religious, I immediately lose a lot of respect for that person and assign them a lower category of perceived mental capacity and emotional maturity.
Scientologists, Southern Baptists, Muslims, Catholics, Jews, etc, they are all equally disconnected from reality and equally foolish.

If you see me as a satanist, good for you. Some see me as a friend others as a foe, but the last thing I would do is to use a label to describe myself that isn't going to advance my position in life.

Being a Satanist is very stupid, regardless of whether God exists or not. Allow me to explain why:

If you do not subject yourself to Gods will (or higher reason, or providence, or natural law or law's of physics) or whatever is highest in this universe - you are free to do whatever wish happens to dominate your mind in that particular moment - which effectively make you a slave of your desires and phantasies.

And as we know desires and phantasies often tend to be self-destructive, from pride (the thing that lulls you into thinking that consequnces that apply to others will not apply to you) to overeating, laziness, drug use, unhealthy sexual fetishes and so on.

This is what Jesus speaks when he speaks that he has come to free people from sin. By obserwing a will of a strict but benevolent God a man is free to stop slaving to his destuctive desires.

Being a Satanist is equivalent to sticking your fingers in an elictrical socket because "no fucking Nature will impose it's laws on me and I will not submit to it's will"

Regardles of whether the highest force in universe is nature and laws of physics or God - a man is wise to recognise that submitting himself to the highest of laws is what brings the most freedom in world - that is freedom from:
1)Lesser laws. For example knowing the Red pill laws of what really attracts women make you free from being a nice guy as prescirbed by "social laws and norms" of this feminized society.
2)Your destructive desires. For example by knowing that a man has to be dominant to get women a men will have to realize that his phantasy of having a dominatrix who commands him and whips him and fucks him in ass with strap-on is destructive because women will lose respect for him if he asks them to play this roleplay and eventually leave. The man then has some inner work to do and must liberate himself from this destructive desire and reroute his sexuality into a natural dominant state.

Similarly understanding that our genes die if we don't reproduce should make a man to avoid homosexuality and understanding nutrition and health should make a man to lose excess fat. The next level of atheism after denial of God is denial of mans's ability to change his desires. Therefore the liberal bullshit that homosexuality is not achoice and that obesity is not a choice. Effectively this next stage is Satanism - denial of human will to submit to the highest good for the sake of choosing to be a slave to the legion of pathogenic desires (demons).

Therefore the only smart postion in life is to respect God as the highest law in the universe. Whether this law is a unique incorporeal person or just a set of rules deeply encoded in nature of universe is another question, whether this law is nice and fair or blind and cruel is another queastoin, but respect must be given and the highest law must be observed. That is the only wise stance.

Where am I if I am 100% certain that something exists that atheists fail to undersdand and theists do, but I am not sure it is God, while simultaneously being 100% sure there is something that atheists understand while theists do not and that could also be God?

I am not an agnostic atheist because I am 100% sure something exists that atheists would call God, but it would not be God by theist definition.

The real problem is that no one knows what is God and there is no single definition for this. When I hear that atheists deny God and that Theists insist on God I often hear them speaking about different things. That is if that discussion is actually any intellectual and not simple recycled arguments.
