RE: I'm considering proposing to my girlfriend
I'm going to assume everything you said is true and give advice accordingly.

You are too soon in the relationship. 6 months is not enough to make a decision.

You only make 50k per year. This is not enough. Being married carries a lot of expenses.

You also mentioned that she never had a boyfriend. Was she a virgin or not? If yes, then she gains a lot of points, because you can't really find a 20-something virgin in USA anymore.

I would just wait to see what happens. You hadn't time to see her true personality yet.

Definitely hasty

However, realize it'll be 18 months by the time we're married

I tried dating for 4 years and that was fruitless, and I'm not trying to put in that much time to not get anything out of it

Guess what you can get out of four years of marriage?

Divorce rape!!!!

Your four years with your girlfriend wasn't fruitless. You got 4 years of consistent sex, companionship and potentially social status.

What do you expect to get out of marriage that you can get out of a committed relationship?

I suspect troll.

RE: I'm considering proposing to my girlfriend
6 months - this is just the honeymoon phase. It's to soon to tell.

It's going to be 10 months with my main HB 8 and I still haven't specifically stated or asked her to be my GF, I haven't said I loved her either, I do have feelings for her though.

This seems to be more about money than it is about wifing her up.

Do what you want, read this forum, listen to the advice and make an educated decision that you feel is right.

RE: I'm considering proposing to my girlfriend
What expenses should I expect to add that I wouldn't have already?

Sadly no on the virgin status, however, there's another girl who I was seeing for a year who was a virgin until having sex with me this past year. It was a definite plus, but not the game changer to me.

Waiting is seeming like the better option, but I know I'll do it in a at least a year if I'm still with her

This guy has some solid game (the guy this girl is writing about). Solid enough to have some girl going online pretending to be him and having a taste of his life in some small form.

Either an obsessed pump and dump or a soon to be massive stage 5 clinger.

The person's description for this situation is "off" it doesn't have the feel of being written by a man.

I checked the hacker factor as well:

RE: I'm considering proposing to my girlfriend
Assuming you are not a troll - just sufficiently indoctrinated in the liberal fem-talk language to sound like a woman:

1. She will make more money than you in the next years - she does not do so now - you talk of her making 80k soon and you 50k in a degree in which career options are in the stars - Her hypergamy will be rearing it's ugly head as she will be surrounded by successful millionaire-doctors etc.

2. 22 and wanting to marry sounds Chinese with influence of mainland China. Desire to marry young is one point. Desire to upgrade to husband Nr. 2 when living in the US is another - all media outlets support that crap in a woman.

3. Unprotected sex and "saving money" as reasons for marriage? Getting a girlfriend would do the same trick or getting a FBs as well.

Have you read Rational Male? Have you delved in the least bit into the true psychological makeup of a woman - also one who marries early?

Currently the environment is highly slanted against a man with huge enormous added benefits for a woman.

Good luck riding that bronco after she has a child and her hypergamy is on crack - while she is still in her 20s and married to a guy who makes less than her.

The odds are not in your favor.

This is how guys should behave when a woman proposes - first 15 seonds of the trailer:

Gee - I wonder why women don't propose more often, if marriage is such a great deal for us men - more would be jumping forward with great happiness. Getting married in our current environment is neither necessary nor smart. If you've got Alpha characteristics, then you can easily parlay that into keeping her happy without the ring.

RE: I'm considering proposing to my girlfriend
I'll entertain the troll.

You're 24, the person you are now will be vastly different to the person you will be when you should be considering marriage (late 20s, early 30s, never).

The same with your girl. I'm assuming she's fairly westernized. The world is full of possibilities for a woman of 22. I'm sure your relationship is just rainbows and lollipops currently.

Fast forward to her being 25/26 assuming you guys tie the knot (you shouldn't) she's entering her biological trough, she will be evaluating her options. I hope you've fully realised your potential and your money/fitness/game are on point. You will be scrutinised mercilessly because her clock is ticking and she needs to be absolutely sure you're the person who is ideal father material.

If you fail, there will only be unhappy times ahead for you, and marital/ltr problems can really fuck your entire state.

Even if she's traditionally minded, at 22 she still sees a world of possibility and as mentioned come 26 she may start to wonder if she needs to 'find herself' or other tripe. Would your frame be strong enough? Would you be emotionally prepared to walk away and face divorce?

The best advice my dad (rip) gave me was don't even consider marriage until 30, funnily enough a number of men told me that when I was in my early 20s. I dodged the bullet then and I'm glad I did. I got engaged at 25 and called it off 2 years later. I'm glad I did it enabled me to focus on money, freedom and fitness and frankly there's more to focus on.

You should do the same, relationships have a funny way of creating an insular bubble which can suck the drive out of you if you're not careful, at 24 this could be fatal.

Troll or not troll, doesn't matter.

What I am saying is a true story.

I got married at 23 after 2 years of dating.

Did it turn out well? Yes. At 38 I am still married, for those who's wondering.

Was it a good idea? Maybe. At least we are finished with the whole kids thing and we are still young to enjoy life.

Would I do it again at 23 if I had a second chance? FUCK NO!!!

I wanna go back in time and punch my 23 year old in a face and till him to not even think about marriage before 30, lol.

On the other hand, did it stop me from moving to another country, changing career twice and starting two businesses (one in Australia and another one in Philippines)? No. Woman and marriage do not define who you are and what you do. You do (or don't).

That's no reason to get married, so that you get your reproductive urge "over with".

The process of having children ideally should be enjoyable - and studies show that it most often is, when the husband is around 35-40, making high six digits and has a wife with small children at home. That person is the most happy individual among all demographics and both genders. And there are plenty of reasons why that is the case.

And you just have to listen to Rollo Tomassi who is happily married for almost 20 years, when asked on the Christian McQueen show whether he would marry now. He stated that no way would he get married due to the change in the sexual market place, feminism on crack in media & academia, laws & also because of what he knows about Game & the psychological makeup of women.

I personally have found a good girl with a n-count of 1 before me and have clearly stated that I will not marry under the current circumstances. Women accept that now as did she. Maybe when I was less aware I would have tied the knot, but not with all I know - that is just bat-shit crazy even for an Alpha with money.

In the past marriage was stable, because sexuality of women was highly restrained by society & religion and the husband had huge legal advantages. Marital abuse was never tolerated, but the man had the final say in all matters & divorce was possible only on grounds of abuse or gross neglect. 85% of all divorces initiated by women now would result in the old times in the woman having to leave the children with the husband, having no alimony & child-support and no government help and she would be shamed socially in addition to that.

Currently we are somewhere between the Bolshevik sexual revolution mayhem, Brave New World total promiscuity and the dying embers of the old marital order. If at least the laws would change, then the risk of marriage for a man would drop easily by 90%.

Man, it feels like new posters have been absolutely flooding the forum with crap like this recently.

If your new to the forum, it's bad etiquette to just come and start bringing these big decision 'What do I do?' style threads without any contribution. This is a community of men who seek to give as much or more than they take back.

If not a troll (unlikely) then no don't get engaged. You are clearly not living like you should be if your looking to tie yourself to one vagina at the age of 24.

Triple A* for the troll police out here. Man you guys are sharp.

RE: I'm considering proposing to my girlfriend
Gah. I'll bite just in case it's not a troll.

There are so many problems with your first post that I will try to keep this brief.

I got married to my first wife around 25 I think and she was an American. I now have a new wife at 30,shes foreign and I have a kid now. Back at the first marriage no one could stop me from making that shitty decision. Women change too much man, when I met her in college she was sweet and unspoiled, but psychologically damage, although I was not keen enough to notice it. In 3 years she went for a masters and became a militant feminist. She nearly ruined my life. It took God, my family, and expensive lawyers to fix it.

I say all that to say this. You made a justification list like I did back then on why you want to marry this person, oblivious to the fact that if she really is the right one, you wouldn't need one to begin with. Men know an extremely good deal when they see it and snatch it without uttering a word. I know haven't seen that one yet because we would not be having this conversation right now, so let's do this instead.

Minimize the damage and risks before you guys actually do this. Tie up all your loose ends right now. Clean up your closets. Put your money in an asset protection plan if necessary. If you are going to make a move like this, you have time to recover if shit falls apart, since you don't seem to have much to lose in a divorce in the first place.

Some guys are the type that need to drive halfway into a ditch, to figure shit out. Just don't hit her, get a temper tantrum, or get into a fight with her. Learn game, because game doesn't stop at marriage, and be ready for the day you wake up and say, "I need to move on. This isn't right."

If shit is great for the first 10 years, then maybe she was alright all along, maybe one of those 5% American women. You can relax and plan for more stability. I would wait for a few years on kids as well. Once you get kids you will find it incredibly hard to make a move out.

Read my post on the difference between a friend and a wife as well. Also consider learning a trade and put her in the house and keep her there. Corporate America ruins women and makes them miscarriage and age harder with shitty eggs. Money might get tighter for a little bit, but it's managble. You want her to be a wife not a work mule. If you fail to understand this, you will probably end up divorced. Adams curse was to toil under the sun. Eve's curse was to endure painful childbirth and menstruation. Don't be blue pill and get this shit twisted. Fuck keeping up with the Joneses.

If this girl is Asian from Asian and not here or some EE woman forget the top half of what I just said.

The question is why we don't get those kind of posts by non-trolls?

Well - the reasons are clear:

Guys who have read ROK, maybe even RationalMale, have learnt a modicum of Game and are now on the RV forum, then those guys simply know better than to marry under the conditions that OP has listed.

I will save 400$/month (tard), she is likely the best there is for me (Cat lady) - I make 50k and she will make 100k = together we will make 150k and ride into the sunset.... BullshitBullshitBullshit

We know that plenty of men out there are making those exact kind of decisions, but the reason they do it is because they are young, full of cum & are so cis-white-male gender privileged and brainwashed that they don't know better. They never heard of Roosh or have instantly rejected the whole "PUA" stuff as misogynistic. Some of them will come on the forum after getting divorce raped.

Guys here will marry, but they will have either highly unusual mitigating circumstances that warrant that kind of risk, or they will plan marriage together with the likelihood of divorce.

That's why such a thread by A REAL GAME-AWARE YOUNG GUY is very very very unlikely. This is done by women or Game-denying basement trolls. Still - the outset is interesting, which is why so many guys responded.
