I also am fascinated with Japan. I was walking around Tokyo at night and felt totally safe, unlike Moscow, NY, Lviv, San Francisco-- I felt like I was in a bit of a time warp, where the streets were calm and there are basically no poor people. And it seems like the girls like very nasty style sex.

Rio, Mexico DF, Santiago, or Buenos Aires. Basically the most cosmopolitan cities in Latin America where having a lot of money would make for a very good life.

One random Sunday I bumped into Rod Stewart just walking down the street by himself in Hells Kitchen. Couldnt hold it in and yelled after I walked by him "we love you Rod!" This is a loaded question.

The question isn't: "If you had $100 mil where would you live?"

The question is: "If you were an A-lister, where would you live?" Much different. I almost hate to say it since I know this place inside and out, but I would stay in Los Angeles.

In my mind, there is no other place on earth where fame game is so important or revered.

Getting even more specific, it also depends on what kind of rock. If you're Dan Auerbach then LA would give you a limitless supply of top shelf pussy. But if you're any member of Dream Theater, you'd be better off in South America or Tokyo where prog rock is still popular, unlike the U.S.

Exactly.

I can't speak for NY, but in LA if you're into music and live in the Hollywood area and are a "rockstar", you'll do fantastic even if you're not famous. The women love the non-traditional males such as rockers, hipsters, skaters, graffiti artists, hell...guys who cut hair and are straight and society here treats them pretty well.

This isn't a finance-town, its one of entertainment, music and culture. Its a perfect fit for those living that life, such as a rockstar.

You can have this same thread read "If you were an Accountant, where you want to live ?"


And all the answers EXCEPT Los Angeles will probably be the same.

Who is really a rock star anymore who has that cachet? Honestly, the only "rock stars" I can think of who could live anywhere in the world and have recognition would be *cough* Nickleback, and even then that was 5 yrs ago. Now they're old and passe.

Pop stars are the new rock stars...Robin Thicke, Bieber, Drake

They are on tour half the year, but I'd have 3-4 homes: NYC, LA (Hills & Sunset Strip), London & Paris. Also a place in Hawaii or some place similar just to get away from it all.

My mistake,,,,,, when I used the word rock star I meant it for a particular country or region, and not internationally. Most people in the world, would not know a Brazilian pop star, but if you were one.... you could not have it better, unless you were Bruno Mars.

Because INDUSTRY NETWORKS & NETWORKING are there.

Hollywood & TV > LA, NYC
British Media > London
Fashion > Paris, Milan, NYC
Finance > Wall Street, London etc.
Oil & Gas > Houston, + places in Europe
Tech & Startups > Silicon Valley

They are there because their INDUSTRY lives, thrives and GROWS there. OPPORTUNITY. No matter where they started, for high growth they'll be in the LOOP over there until they are so unaffected by the network to be on their own wherever they are.

And media centers attract WANNABE Starlets.. hotties.. Same happens for Bollywood wannabe ladies in Bombay i.e. India.

But there is no replacing the experience of living in a foreign country for a certain period of time while getting access to the cream of the crop on their turf. Regarding what Choche mentioned, the best Brazilian talent live in Brazil & barely speak English

Just that the best talent i ever saw was in patio savassi mall, in belo horizonte. 16 to 21 yr old hotties, like no other. And so lovey dovey and dying to do anything for a man who can wow them like a rock star.

London and NYC simply offer everything you need in terms of lifestyle, granted industry connects will be there but the endless supply of fresh women moving to these cities does not stop.
