The Destructoid journo had about 50 followers on Twitter. In internet terms and game industry terms he was a nobody. Wheaton had over a million followers, and sicced them on a man, with the express purpose of taking away his livelihood and ruining his career over a silly throwaway remark.

Of course, failed actor Wheaton isn't now calling for gaming journalists to be fired for their much more explicitly offensive language and behaviour attacking gamers over Gamergate. He's absolutely fine with that.

He's a hypocrite.

If Gawker really wanted to hurt the GamerGate movement, they would stop letting their crybaby trust fund staff write pretentious "think pieces" about it. Wow, Wheaton is a real fringe left faggot. I'd think even Hollywood lefties would be uncomfortable with some of the stuff he is writing on his blog. But I guess he doesn't have much of career to sabotage so feels free to speak his mind. And he fits the profile - bearded double chin, pot belly, budding moobs, raising another man's children.

Now, imagine every cool dude you've ever met. Can you imagine a single one of them writing a headline for their internet presence like that? A few months ago I was scanning cable (a wasteland) for something to watch, and, much to my disgust, I saw Willy doing an interview for a BBC America series called Orphan Black.
