NO - it's not Alpha - it would have been Alpha if he was able to pull her in her prime aged 23 and she would have let go of the career to be with him.

I think you're correct in your estimation of most Protestant churches. Their softness has driven people out of the pews. But to say the Catholic Church "might be slowly becoming corrupted" is a huge understatement, in my opinion.
