You're going to be crowded on it.

Ok I'll keep looking.

Suzuki SV650, hands down. Best bike for learning how to ride properly. And please don't forget to buy the riding gear.

Good luck bro

This one is sick looking but has 100k miles http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/mcy...60557.html

Mech - I'm not really crazy about that last one.

LA and Inland Empire is fine.

If you have a much cheaper deal down there it might be worth to ship...

RE: Help Me Choose a Motorcycle
ive had a lot of bikes, the vmax was my childhood dream bike. I got one and realized it sucked. Lots of power, but horrid handling. Only good for stop light racing, and thats about it.
My favorite bike Ive had was a 2003 vfr800. I could cruise all day and it was still sporty enough to play in the twisties.

Just saw this video on Cafe Racer (5 Reasons to have a Cafe Racer bike).

Decent video minus all the wife stuff.

RE: Help Me Choose a Motorcycle
Cafe racers are just fucking cool. To the poster, I would recommend the SV650 as it's known throughout the bike world as a great starter bike that you won't outgrow quickly. I personally started on a Ninja 250 5 years ago, rode that for 6 months or so, and then got a CBR600RR. Now riding a 2012 Ducati 848.

Once you get a bike, make sure you read Twist of the Wrist by Keith Code, Total Control by Lee Parks, and Sport Riding Techniques by Nick Ienatsch. Of course, buy some good gear as well.

RE: Help Me Choose a Motorcycle
If you have time to work on a bike you could try Ryca motorcycles CS-1 Cafe Racer Kit it looks nice. If you get tired with one style you could change it again later. Kits for a Suzuki Savage, I've got a Honda CB 450 I'm working on now just to get it going.

Ryca Motors page

They give you options for down the road if you want a bobber instead of a racer or vice versa.

The story..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buell_Motorcycle_Company

Basically he did what that stupid ass Cleveland place thinks they're doing without cheap Chinese low power crap engines and components. I've butchered these bikes up just for the "goods" to build choppers during chopper craze II.
