There are apparently 10 distinct categories into which men fall in Japan, with women knowing exactly the type they’d like to get to know better or avoid altogether. Presented by Ilaria, the Italian curator of YouTube channel It’s All Manga’s Fault and long-time resident of Japan, the following list describes 10 different types of men as viewed from a romantic perspective. As Ilaria mentions, these personalty types are not her own creations, but rather those described online by Japanese women.

I watched the video for curiosity's sake but when it broke into gay ass anime stuff I almost had to turn it off.

The only conclusions I came to were:

1. Gaming in Japan is probably difficult and awful (they want effeminate guys who are secretly macho?).

2. I feel sorry for Japan, because they're constantly associated with feminine-looking drawings.

I didn't watch and have never been to Asia, but from the post and subsequent comments, my stereotypes of Asians comes to mind (perhaps more true of Japan, but I think of SEA/Japan/China...not Russia or India)...lower testosterone men than much of the world.

Again, I'm not in any way saying that's across the board correct (obv exceptions), or even generally correct, but it's what comes to mind.

Nothing against any of the Asians on here. It's like somebody saying where I'm from (rural midwest) are stupid narrow-minded gun-toting hicks. It's a stereotype, and I don't take it personally...tho I do own a gun.

Old Japanese people lived off a diet of rice, fish, and sometimes wild game, so they were tiny as fuck. They didn't even get good white rice, a lot of the time, they got some crappier version whose name I forget. White rice was a delicacy that you got on special occasions.
Oda Nobunaga, for instance, the legendary Japanese samurai whose nickname was "The Demon Lord of the 6th Heaven", and whose hobbies included burning down ancient temples and putting entire villages to the sword, was 5'3''. He wouldn't have a chance with an average girl in Japan today.

I frequently tease Japanese girls about this.

I show them pics of host boys on my phone and say 'this is a man?'. I then show them the 'Seven Samurai' pic and say 'THIS is a man'.

When I saw the video was done by a woman, it became a project of zero worth.

Women are women all around the world - 5-10 days in each month when they are the most horny they all want the masculine Alpha guy, no matter what their preference is or social conditioning.

Plus as a Westerner you are a precious novelty by itself.

That samurai could be 5'0 and still not give a fuck. He will get her to submit to his will since he will most likely me more masculinity than she can handle.

Also I have met 5'3 Sri Lankan guys who pull cute chicks japan. Even saw a 5'2 white guy in Australia with a cute jap girl.
