Hypothetical situation: your family sees you day gaming and confronts you.

How would you respond?

I'm 21 and still live with my parents because of military conscription and my mothers friend saw me holding a Japanese girls hand. Needless to say, I had a lot of explaining to do. (Flat out denied it, told her that her friend must've seen the wrong person; she wasn't convinced though, but she let it slide)

i was on the way to a work's night out in soho and meeting everyone at the venue. i got there a little early so decided to do some approaches. as i was doing a front stop on a girl two taxis drove past with all of my work team and one of the directors in. i got blown out in front of all of them and had the piss taken out of me pretty bad that night.

I went out to dinner with my family last night and struck out with two different waitresses at a Chinese restaurant. I am sick and feeling like hell so I didn't feel like hitting the bars two nights in a row. I decided to make some effort even with family present. So I tried some below average game on my waitress and the one who was working a few tables over.

Father: "Why are you harassing the staff?"
Me: "It's a numbers game, my dick would be dry if I didn't go down swinging a few times."
My mother just let out a sigh and said "I didn't raise you like this..."



My point? Who gives a shit. Do what you want to do.

Tell them, "Do you want grandkids or not?" You're just trying to fulfill your biological duty. You not only owe it to yourself, but your parents and all of your ancestors. It would be wrong NOT to.

Wait... what??? Why the eff did you have 'a lot of explaining to do'? Needless to say???

I'm so truly disgusted by this.
Parents are supposed to do right by their offspring, not actively hurt their interests. It sounds like your parents are preaching that relationships and sex are shameful or something to be guilty about.

I personally would have no problem totally cutting someone out of my life if they were actively damaging my ability to get girls, regardless of their relation to me.

I'd give the kid a break; he's from Singapore -- I can tell you for a fact that the majority of parents there do believe exactly that way. ^
The upper classes might be a bit more liberal, though I could be wrong.
Seems unbelievable, but even that generation of parents are almost Puritan in their outlook to sex and relationships. It's like they'd expect a fiancé(e) to magically pop into your life at 25 and tie the knot with a few years later, full stop.

There's a reason why Singaporean dudes are the epitome of betatude. The enormous Hollywood pervasiveness makes them terribly blue-pill too.

As for your mum...
