Yall know Kona had a video game? I don't think he'd be a fan of the snow though.

What looks more exciting? The go-girl campaign or the original gritty darker. Can they stop fucking up a classic.

Why didn't they just remaster the orginal instead?

Meh, they've been trotting that one out since Night Trap. Nobody believes it anymore.

It's not the games, it's the culture and the parenting. If they're going to make that sort of argument about games, it's suggesting the game has a profound effect on a person's morals and psyche, making them a sociopath because they intensely believe in this shit.

There is a certain religion that seems to have a similar effect on its adherents, but funnily enough nobody makes the links between that and mass killings, even when the adherent openly says they're doing it in the religion's name.

I know I might be in the minority here but I'm really excited for battlefront 2. If if it includes all the things that they're promising like vehicle combat space battles and the ability to play across all Eras of the star wars universe like in the original battlefront 2. I grew up with the prequels and I'm much enjoyed the clone wars so seen it come to life will be spectacular if they pull it off the way pandemic studios managed to.

I'm waiting patiently for the multiplayer Friday the 13th game because Jason is awesome.

Also, I've pre-ordered Injustice 2 for Xbox One.

RE: Video games
When people trot out the "violent video games" nonsense I ask them "find me a causal link, which should be pretty easy because video games are only 30 years old, tops, and in those 30 years have gone from obscurity to full societal saturation, so if there's any link whatsoever we should currently be living in an ultra-violent dystopia, correct?"

Seems to shut them up every time.

I never played the originals but I had more fun with last year's Battlefront than I did with Battlefield 1 (I strongly prefer infantry combat to vehicles in both games).
Player numbers are low now (although still peaking at around 25,000 on the PS4) but I was thinking about reinstalling it the other day after getting my ass kicked five shades of black and blue in Battlefield 1 after trying that again for the first time in months.

The Friday the 13th game on Nintendo game me nightmares when I was a kid. My older cousins used to play that around us and make us watch them play it. My younger brother got nightmares so badly, the cousins got into trouble with the adults. I think they took the game from them or threatened to do it. LOL

Witcher 3. Reached Kaer Morhen.

Actually got to like Lambert after a little jog down the far end of the valley to recharge the phylactery. Had a great night with him and Eskel getting fucking drunk off our dials in a giant, almost-abandoned main hall more like a cathedral than a castle. Beautiful setting, beautiful night, the sort of thing I'd love to do in real life if the opportunity was there.

Also said I wouldn't grovel when Yen brought up my banging Triss, and I spun her dial so hard she teleported me down the other end of the valley Smile

And then they administered the potions to you-know-who in order to break the curse, and it was awful watching the reactions of the guys. Emotion-dead or not, I finally got why there aren't any more Witchers: because these guys would never put someone through what they went through. It was quite a moment.

^ You're making me all nostalgic again Blush

That night drinking with the other Witchers felt like the calm before the storm. There was something humbling about it. Just a few souls in a huge castle in the middle of the deserted nowhere, the war stories, the camaraderie. That part, along with the events surrounding it was one of the most memorable for me in the entire game.

LOL @ getting teleported to the woods. The same thing happened to me. "So upset about Triss you gotta take it out on the furniture?" Laugh

RE: Video games
I watched all the cutscenes for Grand Theft Auto 3 recently. Sure, it's blocky compared to GTA 5, but it still holds up as a good game. I played it in college, but never got far. I was close to winning in Vice City, but got bored quickly in San Andreas.

IV, I like the story and Niko is quite a character.

V is the only GTA I've beaten and gotten a 100% completion, Trevor is my favorite character in that one and could be considered red pill.

Rockstar always manages to get good songs for their stations and the talk radio bits are hilarious spoofing everyone on the political spectrum. They managed to get Lazlow Jones from GTA 3 into the most current one.

Team Yen here on playthrough #2. Went for both on playthrough 1 like any red blooded man. Always preferred brunettes to redheads.

RE: Video games
I think all the protagonists in GTA 5 have both red pill and blue pill personality traits to them. Trevor's an alpha doesn't care what the world thinks him. But on the other hand he has serious mommy issues. Michael is red pill in the fact that he's seems to want a traditional life for his kids I empathize along with his character and how he tries to be a masculine role model for James and Tracy. He's blue pill in that the allows his wife to cheat on him and doesn't kick that slut out the door. I didn't play much of Franklin story so I can't comment that much on him but from what I gather he seems to always be looking for approval from the "OGs" instead of seeking his own path which is a very blue pill way of thinking.

Saints Row 2 is free on GOG for the next like.. 4 1/2 hours. If anyone's interested and sees this in time.

https://www.gog.com/

No idea what it's about or if it's any good but hey, free game. And there are a bunch of other games 75% off.

RE: Video games
Saints Row 2 was my favourite of the series before it went way over the top. Obviously there's certain gameplay issues that don't age well but it had the best story world IMO.

Last night I wrested myself away from Novigrad and sailed to Skellige despite the persistent Novigrad quests that just kept leapfrogging over each other. If I have one small criticism of the game it's that running a supposedly time sensitive storyline really drags down the enjoyment when you're getting into fistfight tournaments and running errands for local nobodies. The main character and their motivations are compelling, only when your loadup screen shows the same recap ten times in a row over ten nights you can't help shake the feeling that you're supposed to be chasing down Ciri rather than saving Dandelion or taking witcher contracts or fucking around getting new armour or, Gods forbid, dicking bimbos. (although on a side note, if I ever play an RPG as a halfling I'm going to call him Bimbo Dickings)

As an amusing sidenote after the masquerade ball in Novigrad it turned out that the wolf mask I used didn't automatically unequip so I just wore it for another ten missions (and my first visit to the whorehouse on my way through the Gwent quest), which makes the cut-scenes highly amusing, since the mask stays on even when Geralt is undressed and fucking. It gives every interaction a sort of secret -identity-superhero quality.

Got the Triss and Yen flags, but damn if Triss doesn't drag you through broken glass to get that ass. No alpha game to be had there. Still like her better than Yen though (even if the unicorn is hilarious). Doing the missions in a certain order makes Geralt into something of a player. Told Triss I loved her one night and remorselessly gamed and banged Yen the next. Wolf? School of the dog more like it. Angel

Free on steam, too.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/9480/

Lately I'm just happy to find anything good and very cheap or free that will run on a 2012 era Thinkpad with integrated graphics.

I should soon be getting a free old desktop with an AM3+ socket that I'll be able to turn into a pretty solid gaming rig for like $250, good enough to finally play The Witcher 3 on my best (1600x900) monitor at top graphics. That'll be tits. I haven't had a real gaming computer since my old Athlon XP 1800+ rig I built in about 11th grade; it was just never a priority when there were things like guns, motorcycles, and tools to buy.

Even though I haven't actually played a bit of TW3 yet I think Yennefer is a major league cunt, so... I'll be team Triss for sure. Even if she does look like a dye job redhead. I would never tolerate a woman treating me the way Yennefer treats Geralt, no matter the circumstances.

I tried the Witcher 3 a little, but I just can't seem to get into it. I think the combat and magic and stuff is too complicated for me.

Just finished my second dead space walkthrough on impossible, and man, what a great game it was, it reminded me of old school resident evil and even better, for a 10 year old game the graphics look fresh and great , the art, the plot, great and difficult game, Highly recommended for fans of survival horror, it managed to give me a few nightmares.
