Noooo, you must do the expansions. You will not regret it. They are easily on par, if not better, than the main story. The writing is superb.

Yep, absolutely do the expansions - Blood and Wine in particular was a fantastic way to conclude so many dozens of hours of main game and expansions with Geralt.
And they won't claim another 150 hours if that's your biggest worry - Hearts of Stone is entirely story focused and takes around 10-15 hours to complete, while Blood and Wine, with its new very different region and side quests and exploration in addition to a story line, is likely to last you around 20-30 hours.

The only modern COD game worth playing was MW2 (and perhaps the first MW). The series has now become a tired cliche.

Fuck.

Just ...

Fuck.

Don't think I can play another RPG for quite a while. This fucking thing has destroyed all of it for me.

I'm destroyed, shattered, fucking blown out. This was just amazing, beginning to end. Can't bring myself to do the expansions because I'll just lose another fucking 150 hours running around the joint doing shit. Have to move on, have to get life back.

Only regret was that I would have liked to have banged the rest of the Lodge, even that shorthaired SJW Fringilla.

Spoilers:

Made Ciri the Empress. Restored Temeria. Stayed with Triss. Made Cerys the Queen. Yes, I know this is SJW bullshit, but in the game's world it's about as stable a political situation as I can put together and it keeps Skellige alive. I got a bit detached from the lore right towards the end, but at least Geralt gets to spend the next two hundred years or so not listening to Yennefer's bitching.

Would like to have banged the rest of the Lodge.

Just can't comment any further. It was too fucking good a game.

Do you know that if you refuse to help both Cyris and Hjamar, you will get the best possible choice for the ruler of Skellige? Laugh

When Bioware gives you lemons, make lemonade:

I'll see your Andromeda and raise you a Witcher.

^^^

Would say I would bang Ciri, but that just seems wrong somehow. She even got her own sauna scene. Unfortunately, suspiciously-convenient bandaging combined with old, sagging-skin titties from one of the participants made it a boner killer.

Anyone here play NG+ in TW3?

I finished the story a little while ago. I took a break, but now I'm back. Playing through the DLC starting with HoS.

I rushed through the game somewhat because I wanted to see the main story unfold. I neglected most side quests. Now I want to go back, especially because many of the great quests are cancelled when you move past a certain point in the story.

Fortunately, there's NG+. Now that I know what happens in the main storyline I can leave that aside and focus on the extras.

It's going to take a while for me to get there, though. Got to tackle HoS and B&W first.

I started NG+ after I finished the main game and the two expansions. Didn't get further than the beginning before I got sidetracked by newer games, but I hope to go back some time soon.

For late game NG+ difficulty reasons it's supposedly best to be around level 50 when you start NG+ (with the expansions). I finished the first playthrough at 46 or 48 if I remember correctly (skipping lots of minor sidequest and witcher contracts).
You bring your old equipment and all skill points over, although equipment will quickly need replacement and I think you need to find all the armor and weapon diagrams again (I can't remember exactly what was and wasn't in my inventory and crafting menus).

MikeS, how are you finding Andromeda?

I'll admit I've thrown in the towel with it. The story never really picked up speed for me / sucked me in like the previous titles and I ended up getting bored after getting the mission to locate the main bad guys ship.

Anyone played Little Nightmares yet?

I've bought it on Steam but I'm going to wait until I get a good few hours free to put some time into it.

It's been getting pretty decent reviews from what I've seen.

I moderately play video games when I have nothing else to do. That said, I rather play video games than watch most of the crap coming from the TV.

I haven't gone back in the last several weeks, so only played the first maybe 15 hours or so, which were mostly significantly better than expected (though with obvious more or less glaring flaws, some parts of the game are impossible to defend, most notably the much ridiculed human faces and animations).

I'm all over the place with games at the moment - the last few days I've even reinstalled and played Elder Scrolls Online, though as usual with MMOs I'm probably going to stop again long before I reach "end game".

Well, I went fucking back and fucking decided to fucking do the fucking expansions for fucking Witcher 3 like you fuckers fucking told me to.

Hearts of Stone was just fucking wrong, man, that shit is fucked up, that fucking Master Mirror dude, up until about the last act or so it was basically an evil genie story, then he fucking did that fucking Joker trick with a fucking spoon to a guy and then I went round to that fucking academician living in a pentagram and I basically shat myself from fear, where the fuck did this shit turn into The Omen, fuck me that scared me.

And now I've got started on Wine and fucking Blood ... and I fell in love with this fucking game all over again. Toussaint, Tosserville, Tolkien Spain, whatever, it's a beautiful place. Here I am dropping shitloads of money on my own frigging vineyard, and sometimes I just stand there watching the landscape, watching the night sky, listening to the theme tune play a softer, gentler take on the Kaer Morhen theme, which was beautiful. Didn't take a lot of quests to qualify for There Can Be Only One, too: man, that whole quest is beautiful, really makes you feel more like a hero than a monster hunter, makes you think there's some redemption for you. And it got me that sweetass-looking Aerondight, looking forward to using that.

Glad I decided to take the road again. The ending of the main quest is just so fucking sad, and to cap it off, when they reinsert you into the game to play as you will, you're put in the main hall at Kaer Morhen, just you, all alone in this place where most of your friends are dead or gone and not accessible in the main campaign world anymore. Really melancholy moment. But Toussaint is just gorgeous, and the vineyard is beautiful, and Geralt has a little bit of purpose back in his life. Guess Eskel was right: Kaer Morhen's not Geralt's home anymore, not any Witcher's home anymore. Toussaint feels warm and I can tell it smells like flowers and rich fields, and it'll be a good place for Geralt to finish out his days in the game.

Going through DOOM, using ZDoom, with WadSmoosh, so as to combine the whole damn thing into one interface. Gettin' whipped.

Even though the game does a great job at making you paternally attached to Ciri, gotta say WB

I finished Hearts of Stone yesterday. I thought the story was really good. Maybe it was just me, but the whole wedding event had me rolling on the floor. It was probably the contrast between excessive romantic cliches and ridiculous nonsense with the seriousness and dry humor I've grown to expect from Geralt. Hell of a combination.

Seriously, funniest shit I've seen in a video game in a long time.

Ogierd's story was top notch, too.

Totally forgot that: yeah, that wedding was hilarious, right down to the fact they changed Geralt's default walk during the wedding from a sort of slouch to Vlodimir's proud strut. There was even one moment in there when Vlodimir/Geralt breaks the fourth wall and grins at the audience.

It was so good it got me to claim my Oxenfurt flag. Geralt has good logistics game, banging Shani in a boat in the middle of a moonlit lake is pretty damn swag.

I took around 750 screenshots while playing TW3...

So the most bizzarre thing happened to me today. I got banned on NeoGaf (a famous gaming forum) for comparing a certain character in a game to Hillary Clinton when another user had made the comparison to Trump. Now you might say I was shitposting on purpose, but I was genuinely making the assertion that was the case in MY OPINION. Afterwards of course the typical liberal responses were made of standing on their moral high-ground acting all smug and pretending to be smarter than they actually are. It's that and the passive aggressive insults while also saying "I don't want any part of this but I'll just say you're opinion is bad while being intellectually lazy and not explain why, and here I am chiming in my two cents anyways" (you'll know immediately what I mean when I say this). I don't understand how gamers have become so cucked, Milo made the point I believe on Joe Rogan before that because gaming challenges the mind when you are involved in solving puzzles or challenges i.e. platformer, puzzles, real-time strategy, MOBAS, etc. that they are supposed to be more critical thinkers. Instead ever since gamergate, most of the mainstream audiences in gaming have been cucked with the same bullshit SJW mindset prevalent in other forms of media predominantly with TV, film, music, and books. It's just so sad because video gaming as an artform is underrated when you actually think about the design perspective. It takes so much talent to program a character model to create realistic fascial animations or rendering foliage or putting the right colors in a fiery explosion, trying to get every detail as perfect as possible. Anyways take this for what you will, but I had to get this off my chest. It's just sad to see the degeneracy that political correctness and censorship has done to ruin beautiful art forms by politicizing everything.

No, I don't think I'd bother go hunting on the NeoGaf forums over some random post, but if you'd rather not say to protect your privacy, that's probably a smart move, especially if you haven't been super careful about what you posted on that NeoGAF account.

As long as it wasn't Senator Armstrong, it's all cool. Hillary Clinton doesn't know shit about Nanomachines.
