Haha sounds great but being that she's a rich daddy's girl I am sure it will be tougher than usual. Eitherway I can always make my way to downtown GDL and roll the dice! ESP since my Spanish is still whack!

To keep all this on the same GDL thread. I used what I expected to be the worst line ever "hey is that magazine any good, I hear the advice they give is geared towards old people like me?". Did this at the magazine shop, worked, and even more luckily the girl is seated on the aisle over, doubt this flight is full. But wow, a stupid opener is the best opener.

So im finally in the states. As soon as I touchdown, I regretted coming "home". My main reason for coming back was to handle little issues(car, school,legal). I tried renting a vehicle. Came up to about 60 bucks a day. Fuck that. So I got a car for a day, rented a room, and headed to the stripclub to chill and watch the Lakers. Got a number from a little 20 yo waitress who is in nursing school. Hopefully ill close next week. So I was scheming on a trip. Chicago, DR or Guadalajara. Guady won. Hopefully its chill there and im lookin forward to smashing a fresa haha. Datasheet will be posted. I fly today then return to corpus Christi on Monday. Wish me luck.

Finished a ten day trip in Guadalajara with a side trip to Puerto Vallarta on Sunday. I just made it back to Kuwait this morning. From paradise to shit desert. Here is my datasheet.

General Traits:
1. Guadalajara is a beautiful city with great architecture. The women are from all over Jalisco and are the most European looking in the South.
2. I think Monterrey and Gaudalajara are about the same in terms of lightskinned Mexicans.
3. Guadalajara is pretty gay too. Think Seattle or maybe the San Fran of Mexico. Alot of the dudes I ran into that use to stay in the states said the same thing. More women for me.
4. I'd say Machismo is still strong but because of how gay the city is I am probably wrong. Strong Alpha would probably still pull all types of puss.
5. Dress to impress. Or dress for what you are trying to pull. Guady has all types of women. Hipsters, young professionals, fresas, and college students. Dudes out here have a great sense of style. Very European and GQ.
6. Three Universities which are the best in the area so all the girls from different states come here to study. Didn't get to hit the campuses up but will next year.
7. I didn't notice too many tourist. Americans are scared of Mexico because of the media. Met a few backpackers but mostly asian. The city is so deep in Mexico plus the fact that DF is right there most tourist skip this town. Perfect for DHV.
8. Finally, the cartels havent really touched this city. DF has probably more problems that Gaudy. I walked around everywhere dolo with no problems and no worries. As long as you stay away from the airport area. You are good. I chose here because in Monterrey shit shuts down at night and wouldnt know where to start in DF(should have hit up BARS).

Hotels are cheap. You can get 4star spots for under 60 bucks all over town. I stayed in a Hostel for 13 bucks, Holiday Inn Centro for 95 a night, and Lafyette for 50 bucks a night. Food is cheap with street food, restaruants are all over the place, and taxi rides from DT to most places run you about 4 bucks.

Logistically I would stay in Centro or Chapultepec. Chapultepec has many restarunts, bars, antros, and a plaza where almost everyweek something is going down. There was wrestling and concerts the weekend I left town.

Daygame: Guadalajara has three malls that are great for daygaming. Also centro has the cathedrals where women are walking everywhere. Because the city is deep in Mexico, English isn't widely spoken. I'd say maybe 15% of the women have converstational English, so Spanish is almost needed. My Spanish is weak so that held me back a bit. Also the population is white so unless you open your mouth or look like a true tourist, our white players may not get noticed. Unless you are the blonde hair blue eyes type. I got caught up a few times thinking the girls were from the states or tourist when in fact they were mexican and spoke no English.

Nightlife: I went to Guadalajara with no connections and solo so my first week there was kinda dead. Nobody could point me to a good club during the week. I went to the plaza in Chapultepec to find it underwhelming. Come to find out a week prior was a great week so maybe people took the week off.
LaLolita: Probably your best spot during Friday and Sat. Top 40 music, ratio is 1:1, women are beautiful. Alot of wannabe fresas though. Women are friendly for the most part.
La National: Seems to be an expat spot. International beers and a laid back feel. Mostly groups
El Deposito: A dive spot. Cool on Friday. Mostly groups though. Seems kinda gay.
Centro Casino: The casino is on the third floor. All machines tho. The second floor is a "table dance" or strip club. I watched the Cotto Mayweather fight there. No cover. Lady drinks go for 40 dollars so make sure you dont get them. Strippers are top notch tho. Mostly fake tits ages between 18-32.
Zapopan: The rich area. Went to a Cuban club there with a couchsurfing girl. Seem to be mostly couples and mixed groups. Wish I would have did more in that part of town. When I come back that is where I am staying.

Overall:
Hidden gem of Mexico. Few tourist, great food, good nightlife, gorgeous women, beautiful architecture, and cheap. Nightlife could be better but I didn't get to find everything. City is safe.

I went to Puerto Vallarta for four days. We drove from Guady. About a 4 hour trip. Car overheated on the way. Stay at a hostel that was dead. When we got there the rainy season was about to start so the mexican tourist real dont come I guess. Stayed at Canto del Sol the next day for three nights. Best resort you can choose. Got my package from a Guady local. Again no americans at the resort. Probably 50 Canadians though. Some beer slow pitch softball league. Who goes all the way to Mexico for a tourny??? haha. Got a Canadian flag. Only black dude in Puerto Vallarta at the time so I fell into it. Resort game should be another post for me if one hasnt been done yet. I think we have a cruise game post. I love Canadians. Everything is DT so really no datasheet is needed. Might post one anyway.

So you stayed at the middle class Guadalajara, I know Zapopan better, Zapopan people(Andares mall, Puerta de Hierro district) are even more fresas, european looking and speak a great english but are more difficult so you touched a little bit more of the true Mexico.

I wouldn't call GDL a hidden gem though, I mean, is the 2nd/3rd biggest city in Mexico.

I say hidden gem because nobody goes there. It's Cancun, Cabo, TJ, then Mexico city are really the only cities people know of. All the tourist I saw and met downtown were 99% Mexican tourist. Met some backpackers at the hostel though. Maybe I should just use gem instead. Hidden gem would be Aguasclientes.

Hotels:

I stayed at the Ejecutivo Express when I was in Guadalajara. It is a relatively new hotel. I believe it opened within the past eighteen months. I only paid about $60.00 per night including all taxes. The girl who made the reservation for me works for the Jalisco government and probably told the hotel administration that I had a meeting with the Governor of Jalisco or with some other official. I believe the regular room rate is around $130.00. This hotel is not the W or the Four Seasons, but it is new, clean, and pretty nice. It is within walking distance or a short taxi ride of the nightlife, restaurants, and other attractions.

Restaurants:

I usually ate at a restaurant called Cocina 88. I kind of get into the habit of going to the same places. This place is similar to Dolores But You Can Call Me Lolita in Brickell, Miami in that it is a restored mansion converted into a restaurant. The main difference is that it does not have that first-floor lounge that Lolita in Miami has. The food in Cocina 88 is very cheap for that nice of a restaurant and is definately high quality. There are almost always one or two decent looking waitresses there who are easy to numberclose. Women never to to that restaurant alone and it is usually anywhere from completely empty to half-full. I really do not know how the place stays in business with such low prices, high overhead, and low volume. A restaurant called Manyalee opened up last year. I have not yet been there but it probably has a decent singles scene. Any information on Manyalee would be greatly appreciated.

Nightlife:

Lola Lolita has been mentioned several times in this thread and in others. I believe it is a good choice on nights where the other venues are closed or dead, but I do not believe it is too good on nights like Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They have a latin night I believe on Tuesday. I went there and thought it was pretty good. It is decent every night of the week, but I believe there are better options on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. The best latin club I saw in Guadalajara was Callejon de los Rumberos. It is popular on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. There is a live band on Saturdays and possibly on Fridays and they play about 50% salsa, 30% merengue, and 20% everything else. If you know how to dance and you speak fluent Spanish, you should de well here. Another option on Friday and Saturday nights is Mala Noche. This is more of a cross between a bar and a nightclub, but is more of a nightclub. It draws a similar crowd as Lola Lolita, but bitch shields are lower in my experience. For the dancing crowd, Callejon de los Rumberos is better than Mala Noche on weekend nights. For the drinking crowd, Mala Noche is better.

Daygame:

I tried the mall in Zapopan and various other malls throught the city. My hangovers generally did not put me in a great mood to daygame and I did not exactly see a pleathora of talent in the malls during the day. The downtown area during the day is probably your best bet.

Gyms:

For anyone who is a member of Anytime Fitness, there is one located in the central area of Guadalajara close to the hotel Ejecutivo Express. Your Fob from Anytime Fitness in the United States should definitely work at the gym in Guadalajara. There is at least one more Anytime Fitness in the Guadalajara area, but I believe it is pretty far from the center of Guadalajara. I cannot comment on any other gyms in Guadalajara. There does not seem to be a strong exercise culture there, which is bad for the obesity epidemic.

Women:

The women look worse than in Medellin, Cali, and San Jose, Costa Rica. They look better than they do in many other Latin American cities and countries. They tend to be more friendly than in many other cities and countries as well. Saying that they are easier than women in Buenos Aires adds little value and is similiar to saying that there is a boxer who is easier to beat than Floyd Mayweather. I will say that the women are more difficult than they are in Medellin, Cali, Lima, and San Jose. I know some guys struggle in Medellin and Cali. They are typically guys who are not fluent in Spanish, don't approach women, who are not in shape, or some combination of those three. Those guys should probably stay clear of Guadalajara. Although Guadalajara is by no means a cakewalk, guys who do well in Medellin and Cali should not have too much trouble there.

On a side note, on my way back to the United States, I had a connecting flight in Dallas/Fort Worth. The agent from Homeland Security who was a Cuban guy from Miami basically flipped out on me when I was going through immigration. He started using the term "drug smuggler," said that there was no beach in Guadalajara, and repeatedly asked me what I was doing there. I remained calm as always and eventually gave him a summary of everything I did there and he eventually understood and allowed me to pass. That was the first time that happened to me and will hopefully be the last time. Looking back, the best response I could have given him to his question regarding what I was doing there would have been "Me diverti con las tapatias y eres un pato." (I can hear some of the guys who grew up in Puerto Rico, New Jersey, and New York City laughing from here). I didn't say that. Hindsight is 20/20.

Would agree with lack of foreigners here. Am in GDL at the moment and it's rare to see someone who doesn't look Hispanic, and some of these people are Mexican too.

Am here for next couple of weeks so if anyone is in the city, let me know

One issue I'm finding with GDL is lack of slim girls here. Generally seems to be more attractive to be carrying a bit of weight, whereas am not such a fan of this...

Is this the dental school that is California-accredited? I have heard there is ONE dental school in mexico that is accredited. Which is weird, considering curriculum is in Spanish. Must be some political deal or something like that.

Pass-rates on NBDE (National something dental examination) part 1 and 2/ WREB (Western Regional Exam boards) cant be too high as you have to re-learn everything in English.

Furthermore, this school must cater to foreingers and be pay-to-play (w/a finder's fee to the principal probably!).
