I didn't read everything, but it looks like the dude is a good mix of alpha that doesn't put up with her bullshit (he gets drunk and mad = I flirted with another guy while we were out and he ruined my night and made me look like a whore) and a caring guy that evokes emotions. He probably had enough after a while and now she misses all the drama she had.
