Lots of great insight being shared in this thread. It's great to see so many members enjoying their experiences here. Over the last few months, with the numerous threads we've had about Budapest, a consensus on the forum seems to be building. The quality is definitely here, the girls are great in bed, but you have to put in the work. Thick skin is required, but the rewards are well worth it. There is an element of luck involved. Long-term stay is advised as opposed to a quick weekend.

One of the driving forces of discussion on RVF is discovering which places have the best girls. I see a lot of threads in the travel section asking for comparisons between the different women of Eastern Europe. (Hungary, Poland, Ukraine, Czech Rep., etc) Everyone has their own personal rankings. And while, for example, Ukraine might have higher quality and Poland might have more DTF girls, Budapest holds its own.

Acknowledging that there's a certain level of quality here (personal preferences aside), if you're considering an Eastern European city for long-term relocation, Budapest might be one of the best value spots to set up shop. I'm not sure there's a place that scores a higher average across the board when ranking: girls (looks, sex skills, femininity), attractiveness of the city, nightlife, cost of rent (airbnb availability is very good here), walkability/logistics, public transit, and location within Europe (right in the centre, discount flights everywhere, buses and trains to neighbouring countries).

Sometimes I forget just how nice a city this is (at least in the centre). The other night I went for a long walk through Buda and the castle district. I've spent so much time in Pest, that I sometimes stop appreciating the overall beauty of the city. If you're feeling down about living here, go for a walk along the river or up around the Buda Castle area. It'll remind you just how great it is here.

I've been here four months. I had only planned to stay for three. I'm not going to leave anytime soon. I will go and register next week with immigration for a long-term stay.

There was some talk earlier in this thread about how there's a lack of information on the Buda side of the city. I'm moving from Pest to Buda in November, so it'll be a bit of a change for me. I won't be too far in, however. My apartment will be about a block away from the river. Still, I'll try to share whatever useful information I can about that side of the city.

How is Budapest for the security situation. For example I know in Ukraine all foreigners are required technically to have their passport with them at all times & I have had cops ask me befor. Is this required in Hungary?

I never carry my US or EU passports when in Ukraine for fear of identity theft or them being stolen/damaged. I think you ran into some racial profiling issues. If you look and act like a local chance of being asked for a passport is slim in UA. I have walked past cops cursing in English while completely drunk and they did not bat an eye on me. Obviously, I am not suited up and attracting attention, on that night I was wearing beat up jeans, a sweater, and had a local Ukrainian with me

I was up near the front. The protest was huge but it's been pretty peaceful besides a couple of incidents.

On a different topic, I find good to see how the RVF image of Budapest changed over the past 3 months. If you dig up older threads, you would see people writing it off saying they never saw anything special, and how it was a waste of time. Fast forward to today and it seems to have turned 180% and nothing has really changed in the past 2 years. What has changed? The city was not in the middle of nowhere to say nobody has visited it before.

There's a visible police presence here. Lot of cops walking around the city, lots of police cars. Despite that, I've never been stopped once. I don't walk around with a passport. I do have an image scan of mine saved to my phone, but I've never had to use it.

It was a racial issue. I never have problem in Kiev during the day time but at night can be a different ball game. If you look like a obvious foreigner like I do, not much you can do to blend in but I try to go with locals when possible and I stick to taxis at night.
I wanted to see if Buda was any different.

The previous few years Bucharest definitely got the worst wrap on the travel forum. As a result, and my own ineptitude I always gave it a miss.
I won't take anything for gospel but my interest has been spiked. I've exhausted everywhere else in EE so it can't hurt and might be a pleasant surprise. Guys are saying it's hard as balls to get top tier so it still might be a tad easier in other countries, however I'm intrigued by the city in general so I might give it 2-4 weeks.
Can an expert chime in on whether January/February would be a terrible idea due to plummeting temperatures?

I almost want to suspect a heard mentality.
The first couple guys went, didn't have much luck, went to the wrong areas, only stayed for short periods of time .ect
Everyone in the heard agreed with them..because often a lot of people on the forum circle jerks before actually visiting a place.
Not enough people had taken to time hang around a little longer.



The last month's to year..the forum was also highly hyped on Poland being the best place in world. Everyone wanted to go there and ignored Budapest.

Eventually the hype dies down and someone post about being another place for longer than a weekend trip and slowly people hop onto the next location and a hype starts.

Just like,a long time ago, everyone was Brazil and Colombia.
Now no one is really posting about Colombia anymore and Brazil is all but dead
Being the forum a couple years now...I've seen the shifts from early forum days to now.it's not bad..But it explain why no one talked about it before..now everyone wants to get in on it now.

I am often skeptical about other people's opinions, but I don't have enough time and money to visit every place I am considering visiting, so sometimes I have to rely on RVFer's opinions, especially if they come from highly repped guys or guys I have met in person.

For example, I decided not to go to Hawaii and Peru for because I read some negative reviews on RVF, though I may visit these places for other reasons in the future.

Other places I thought about visiting but decided not to because of RVF: Ibiza, Iceland, Trinidad and Tobago, a bunch of other Caribbean islands including Cuba and excluding DR, all inclusive resorts pretty much anywhere, the list goes on.

It's more of an accidental "circle-jerk". People just want to go where they can get laid easier with hot women. Makes sense to be honest. The forum's opinion would be a safe choice, even more when confirmed by long-time members.

I am super grateful for the information on this forum and the efforts by senior forum members to shed light on the places which they have visited.

I personally have never been to EE before I came to Budapest and had very little idea of different cities / countries. So in fact, I also did jump on the recent Budapest hype and I am not completely immune to the herd mentality (be it positive or negative).

But I am so glad that I did come to Budapest, even though getting laid with good-looking women takes A LOT of work (hell...by no means are things easy here). At the same time, I would have been just as glad if I had jumped on any other hype bandwagon in EE. I think the important part that matters is that we pick a place and put in massive effort to make things work instead of focusing on just the negatives (which Budapest has plenty of).

I also want to explore more cities in EE in the future...I feel like this is just the beginning.

Nice thread you got going here Buddha. One question I have. Can you give us your opinion on your day gaming efforts in Budapest comparing to other cities you've lived in. If I remember reading correctly, Courage Reborn had stated that the girls were a bit more stand-off-ish to daytime approaches compared to other EE cities. Has this been your experience on the ground there? Thanks! keep up the good reporting.

Hey thanks, my bangs here came from social circle intro & night game. I haven't day gamed yet. However, some forum members have day gamed here and according to them, it is damn hard (both day & night)

You can day game an entire day in the malls and never even get a single number. Due to many RSD style pick-up schools here, women have their guards up even during the day. Reports from the ground tell me that some won't even stop to answer questions for directions. Probably the hardest place in Europe to do so due to the PUA scene here.

PUA groups come here and carpet bomb an entire district with approaches in a few hours.

I'll be taking a 1-2 month break from the forum but will still be checking my PMs so if anyone is rolling by then shoot me a message. Would be more than happy to meet up.

Hey I have a question for those of you in Budapest What cellular company do you use and how much do you pay per text/1min call?

I top-up in Vodafone and it's 50HUF per text to Hungarian number and 100HUF for international. I have a girl I texted like 20 times for her international number, so I basically invested 2,000HUF on the bitch!

I use Vodafone. 4000huf a month gets me 1gb data and 100 minutes or texts. They do a bolt on for international as well. I just top up for any extras. Whatsapp I use for contacts back home in UK.

I also used the same plan.
I had a Hungarian girl I picked up the first day come to the Vodaphone store with me.
It might be hard to get a worker that speaks english well to explain what you have.
I also Used whatsapp for just about everything.

I admit.. I didn't make a million calls.. just a minute here or there to confirm dates and such.

The website only has the first couple pages in english..it will keep switching back to hungarian... Might as well use Chrome and auto translate with google.
Then it becomes extremely easy to put money on your account

I use the Vodafone 4000ft a month for 100 mins and 1gb of data. Each additional Gigabyte is 1500ft, cheaper than America.

Just finished my 4 day trip to Budapest. Cheers to RVF members for meeting up with me.
It is true that Budapest has lots of quality but as the great saying says quality comes at a cost.
Be ready, as many other members of the forum have said, do the long grinding at the clubs. Literally you go to clubs from 1-6am
If you are newbie like me, you also have to be able to withstand the harsh shot down by Hungarian girls.
My recommendation for short visitors is that they should go to Szimpla and don't bother with the locals. You need social circle game to succeed here.

I lived in the city for about a year, and i would agree.. short term is difficult. Most of the popular ruin bars (Szimpla kert, Elato kert, Fogashaz, and Instant) are always thriving with tourists, expats and couchsurfing circles.. you will see some locals there from time to time, infact i almost always see Hungarian girls in every place with the exception of Szimpla.

Since the city itself is a huge expat city, i find it's easier to break into local social circles if you have more then a couple of weeks to invest.
