I had this girl over last night for a wine and movie night, we've been going out once a week or so for the last month. I put The Thomas Crowne Affair on, which she's never seen. Some would debate this move as many recommend a common move most people have seen so that the hamster doesn't spin trying watch the movie. I think this is only accurate some times. I think depending on the movies, especially if its one she hasn't seen, she can get even more into the interaction based on what she's seeing on screen.

For those that don't know, Thomas Crowne Affair is a remake of a classic movie. The remake features Pierce Brosnan, Rene Russo, and Dennis Leahry. Besides the British/Scottish accent women get an alpha man to watch and make them wet for, great style and music to set the scene and get the hamster moving in a positive direction. Guys get a naked Rene Russo (several times) and a great sex scene that gets your girl primed for a sexy time of her own.

Now, granted, I didn't get the bang last night, but I'm playing a longer game (towards an LTR) with her while escalating each interaction since she's a pretty traditional/reserved Mexican girl who also happens to be a solid 8.5-9 at 6'2".

What are your tips for other good date movies that set the mood for the night.

For me....I don't care what to put on.

If it's a girl I'm trying to bang for the first time...it doesn't matter what movie it is because you should be escalating within five minutes. You know...you go to a bar, or a party, and try to pull by asking her to "watch a movie." She knows it's on. Last weekend I got it after putting on "The League." We're not talking pigskin...I'm talking the goofy FX show.

If it's a girl you've banged before...pick whatever movie YOU want to watch. She is stepping into YOUR house, frame, world. Don't worry about it and enjoy the ride.

Be careful with comedy movies. Probably fine if you don't intend to escalate during the movie, but if you do it will kill the escalation. Nothing kills sexual tension like laughing. Bad mistake.

I agree with redbeard, which is why I chose what I did. It's one of my favorite movies, plus it's themes comport with sexual escalation. Ny problem is I'm escalating and getting closer to sex, but my freezeouts, stop and restart later, and getting her wetter than a flash flood in Texas are running into, what I think, are very ingrained rules on sexuality and when she wants to have sex because she's definitely into me, but is finding reasons to slow down and de-escalate. Though, now that I've gotten into her panties, the walls may be falling so i'll see what happens next.

James Bond movies are great. Plenty of action and sex, they're total dude's flicks yet the girls love em too. Occasional laughter to keep it light. Younger girls get a more recent Bond with Brosnan or Craig. If the girls a 007 fan I'll throw on Thunderball, Dr. No or Octopussy.

There is no greater alpha than Bond, James Bond.

Horror. Especially horror comedy. You want her to grab your arm, but not be grossed out by gore-porn.

Woody Allen sex comedies. Walks that line of not being slapstick and getting your date too silly, but making things playful, comfortable, and fun.

The movie "Young People Fucking." Yes, that's a real movie. It's hilarious.

Also, weird sex art films work on a certain sort of chick. Last Tango in Paris.


But honestly, it doesn't matter because you'll put the DVD in and the menu will loop for three hours while you fuck on the couch.

Horror movies are the best by far.

They raise adrenaline and general arousal and this is easily transmuted into sexual arousal. This is well known.

Thrillers with a lot of tension are also good for the same reason.

I think comedies are the worst. Laughter is a release of tension and this goes on throughout the movie. Pay attention and you will notice that you feel quite relaxed at the end of a good comedy, while you still feel tense at the end of a horror movie.

Usually go with something interesting like Trainspotting, American Psycho, or Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Sex, drugs, and rebellious youth culture that is timeless nothing like it. James Bond of course as well.

Recent (post 2000) PG-13 or soft R horror movies are the ticket. Look for lots of JUMP SCARES and minimum violence. Avoid ones that are too slow (like The Others).

Watch them first too. That way you know when each scare is coming, and you can look like a big toughie by not flinching while your chick shrieks.

What movie you pick isn't really going to affect her decision to fuck you, no movie in the world can do that job for you. But, if you want to best get her in the mood you have 4 choices, lovey dovey, erotic, erotic thriller or horror.

Examples I like for each are: Moonrise Kingdom, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Basic Instinct (guaranteed to turn you both on) and The Strangers.

Avoid comedies, laughter kills sexual tension.
