I'm actually not sure how to put into words how beta it is, I can't do it justice.

You may be thinking, "Well iop, if it's so beta that should be good for you, no competition right?"
Wrong, it doesn't even have that going for it, because while the national average is 55% women in undergrad, UTD is at 44% females.
Then account for the fact that a big chunk of the population is FOB Indians, and you've got a poosy supply problem on your hands.

I would go so far as to say this is the most concentrated gathering of betas and white knights in Texas, maybe the US.

Out of the 9 roommates I've had, I only ever saw 2 with a girl. One with his girlfriend from highschool, and one with the political science major I mentioned above, the latter is as close as you can get to being a basketball star at UTD.

At UTD even the athletes are beta.

As for why it's like this I think it comes down to being a Uni in Texas with no football team. It's not a bad school academically, and it's a pretty good value with all the scholarships they throw around. It just doesn't draw in anyone that wants to party, and it's mostly men, or masculine women that would choose to come here. It's the Pontiac Aztek of schools.
