After reading this thread on Cracked and its recent transition from comedy to full-scale social justice nonsense, I came up with the idea of creating a RooshVforum website block list. I've recently begun realizing that by clicking on these outrageous links I'm wasting both my time and also contributing to their funding. These websites rely on pageviews to generate ad-based revenue, and by viewing these websites I am indirectly approving of their message through my support. Therefor, when websites begin to move towards full-blown SJW bullshit, I block them. This way, I don't accidentally click on a link and contribute to their pageviews (Gawker Media is a special target for me) and I don't waste my time reading things that are merely designed to anger me.

I understand that it can be a hassle for everyone to individually block all of the typical social justice warrior websites, so I think it would be useful to have a central list that someone can pull down and import into their browser of choice. This way, less tech-savvy users or people who don't want to spend the time can just update their file periodically. I am willing to keep a curated list of confirmed SJW websites and update it based upon my own examinations and suggestions from other users. I will be very strict with website blocking, and will only add a website if its content or its parent company are extremely devoted to pro-feminist/SJW ideals. You are always able to add your own sites to the block list or remove sites on your own without too much trouble, so please don't worry too much about the comprehensiveness of the list.

I will be using the add-on "BlockSite" to import/export blocked websites. It has a very easy-to-use tab separated variable format for the import, and it also has both Firefox and Chrome add-ons, so it'll be relatively platform-universal. I have chosen to use dropbox to keep the list, as anyone can access the file and I can update it easily without changing the link.

After installing the add-on, merely click on the Firefox menu bar, go to Add-ons on the right, and click. Go to Extensions, and under BlockSite click Options. Click Import, navigate to the "blocked.txt" file you downloaded from my Dropbox link at the bottom of this post, and import the file. If someone with Chrome could ensure that this is similar in that browser add-on, that'd be awesome.

Please suggest websites to add to this blocklist and I'll check em out. Hopefully this helps like-minded men to stop accidentally contributing to this shit.

This is the advantage of crowdsourcing a blocklist! Good suggestions. I'm going to leave "feminist" out, because some anti-feminist websites might get hit. Specifics only please.

I like this idea. Everytime I accidentally click on a Buzzfeed link, I cringe at giving them traffic.

Do we have a good tool for blocking sites on a computer? Is there one you'd suggest?

I'd like to take it a step further. If we put together a list of game websites that blasted gamers during #GameGate, and make the block into a plugin, I'll share it far and wide and use it in the new geek website I'm helping some people put together. I think this would be a great tool to make the message go viral and help strangle the SJW beast.

We use archive.today for links that are on our blacklist over on /r/TheRedPill.

If you follow the steps above, you can block all of the sites you'd like in addition to the ones I put forth. Please suggest more sites and they'll be added to the block list! Buzzfeed is already on that list, as is all of Gawker media Fuck Nick Denton.

I think this does what you're talking about, runsonmagic. There are links to add-ons for both Firefox and Chrome. Let me know if I'm wrong and please explain what you mean a different way, and I'll let you know if I know of anything!

Let the feminists and the SJWs have their block lists. Don't get bent out of shape by trash-tanker blogs and other shoddy journalism. As long as yours is the side that promotes a free exchange of ideas, you're on the right path.

You fund them. When you click links, they get money. When this shit gets money, more of it is made. Supply and demand.

End the "demand" of your clicks, and they'll reduce the "supply". Nick Denton has proven, with his appointment of the new Jezebel head, that he'll sacrifice the "message" for profit. He's not the only one.

This is an actual action you can take to proactively combat SJW nonsense. What's wrong with that? Do I believe that this will end all of these sites? No. But that's the excuse that people use to avoid actually doing anything about a cause, and I'm not that type of guy.

Donotlink stops their pagerank from increasing when you link to the page (part of pagerank is calculated based on the number of other sites linking to it). It does nothing to stop them from getting income from ads, nor does it stop pagerank increasing from Total Monthly Visitors (another variable in the algorithm that calculates pagerank). It's helpful when linking to articles but doesn't do anything if you actually click the link.

There's a reasonable criticism to be made for ignoring the other side, however, considering we're inundated with this shit 24/7, I have a pretty good idea of their counterarguments, without the necessary evil of giving them money indirectly.

I have no idea, in answer to your second question. Personally, not a big fan of adblock if so. Some sites (including Return of Kings) gain revenue for their content, and some people rely on that to keep their websites up or even as their paycheck. If I enjoy their content and they do it for a living, I feel somewhat obligated to "purchase" their content through my page views. Not like I notice the ads most of the time anyway

Not that there's anything wrong with adblock, but that's the way I feel.

Do not link is a SJW-friendly company that has recently put ads on their transition bar. So not only do you still give ad money to the site you click, you give it to Do Not Link as well.

Sites don't need your google juice from twitter or forums. They much rather have your ad money, which DNL still gives them. It's not a solution.

Roosh, have you ever considered blocking links on the forum to Jezebel and other feminist sites? Every time someone posts one of their articles on the EE forum for us to hate read we line their pockets.

Still, while I appreciate the sentiment of this topic, isn't it true that the traffic they get from us is just a minuscule part of their overall traffic? There are legions and legions of feminists, betas and/or white knights around. We're a drop in the pool.

There's a retarded new format for "lists" thats been popping up in my fb in recent months. Those "10 things that..." List used to be a single webpage. Then they started breaking it up and only putting 1-3 items of the list per page.
Now.. When I click on most lists it takes me to some slide show where to present 10 facts takes 30-40 slides and page clicks on my part. I assume this is for some retarded click count or increased ad revenue purposes. I have never once been able to make it through all the pages , and close the window furiously each time after 2-3 clicks.

It sure would be nice to be able to block these damn list or know when they're coming before I click...
