Ok, I have a girl who is LTR material, - she's about an hour away from me... I want to maximize time with her, but don't want her to feel smothered - so its a difficult thing. Instead of just seeing her a night or two a week or a few hours, it would be nice to spend lots of time on the weekends - but then, I get the feeling I'm asking too much of her for that.

Any suggestions? She's a touchy girl too - has a very thin like between 'being smothering and the feeling of me not being interested'.

Refrain from spending too much time together even if that means skipping a week here or there. Women enjoy the excitement of something new and different. Seeing each other frequently diminishes the value of the encounters (unless you're extremely hot and heavy). The important thing is that when you do visit make it memorable to the point where she's just dying to see you again. When I decided that I was looking for LTR material I did this very thing with my current gf. She lived a few hours away so I would go see her maybe a weekend or two over a month, and she made a couple of trips my way as well. It's important to communicate your independence-just because you're looking for steady ass doesn't mean you need to leave your alphaness at the door.

She should be the one worried about maintaining the relationship long-distance, wondering if you're going to get bored and screw around. Not you.

It wouldn't hurt to add a prospect or two, until she sits you down and asks you not to see other girls. Until then she has the upper hand.
