I have been looking for answers for this on Google and I couldn't find anything solid.

I knew this dude who told me that some African armies used to cut off the soldiers penis in order to make them better warriors and the effects were usually very positive, their focus would be more solid, they would be more motivated and their willingness to kill was out of this world.

I heard the same was done in small tribes around the world in order to motivate them.

However, some theories of success say that males are driven to have sex and that is our number one motivation to succeed at anything, the theories further explain that if males had no desire to have sex, males would not have become amazing musicians, artists, businessman, athletes, etc. So if your penis gets cut off, why would your motivation level get higher (according to my acquaintance stories) when you don't have any desire to have sex?

Anybody knows what type of mental effects you would have if your penis gets cut off? I am sure some documentaries have been made about this, if you have any information on this subject, please share.

This is something I've been curious about a few times too.

Although my curiosity is more along the lines of how likely re-attachement is, etc, I find this line of questioning interesting as well.

This forum discusses all sorts of minutiae. I see no reason not to gain more knowledge about one of our most valued male assets.

EDIT: Actually, given that I'm one of the members more likely to get the chop during my stay in SEA, maybe this is a special topic of interest to me...

I knew a guy (not personally, but through a friend) who was in a car accident and had to get his dick amputated as a result of the injuries. I don't know the exact details of the accident, so forgive me. He fully recovered (physically) but obviously went completely off the rails emotionally.

Get used to this subject. Penis removal is going to be an upcoming step in the ever-expanding area of rape prevention.
