What about people who watched it before that?
Are they grandfathered in or something?

RE: The beheading of James Foley and resistance to captors
This thing is interseting. I have still yet to find the video online it was taken down from liveleak by the time I looked for it but I guess nw alot of credible sources are saying yeah he's dead but the video isn't authentic or isn't of the actual beheading or whatever due to cuts and edits they can tell happenned in the video.
On the note of resisting captors, I think its kind of unfair to Monday morning quarterback and call the guy a pussy or question his manhood or anything, or even say we would be brave or resist if put in the same situation. I can say with certainty I'm not brave/stupid enough to be in that region to begin with so the guys already got balls bigger than me to start with. THe guy even continued what he was doing after already having been kidnapped once. I think we can't say how we would react til we walkd in his shoes.
Another thing, I know we'd all like to think we'd spit in the guys face and tell him how we fucked his mother as he was cutting off our head or whatever but strange things happen to people in these situations. Look at everything from the holocost to various war situations or all the historical pictures we have of a handful of guys lining up hundreds of guys executing them, heck even 911 on the planes. In many situations the victims outnumber the oppresssors or killers by huge numbers but why don't people rise up and take over?
Something psychological must happen and people shut down whether resigning themselves to death or have just given up, but something definately happens because this is across all ages, genders, cultures, heck even trained military guys and stuff. I get that nobody wants to be the one to get shot to save everyone else but when there's 100 people and 5 captors and those 100 people could easily overhwelm the captors and get freed, all be it with maybe a handful of people being killed why dont' they do it? Your facing certain death if you do nothing so why not take a cahnce at saving yourself and others?
Must be itehr group think everyone else is going along with it so I may as well to or if its the people who are closest to the execution line have to be the ones to make an action but htey are also obviously the ones who will be killed to sacrafice everyone else so they dont do anything, they are killed and next person in line has same reaction as them. WHo knows.
