DAY 56 - 16/10/2014

Got invited to the beginning-of-trimester party here at HSU, so I decided to go, though I expected it to basically be a complete cockfest (as one could imagine any grouping of military members to be.) In short - it lived up to that, and more. I did a grand total of three approaches, none of which managed to get off the group for more than a minute. On top of which, it started pouring at around midnight and didn't let up for a few hours, which basically prevented me from peaceing to another venue on the Kiez or wherever.

Thankfully, I do have the D2 that I previously mentioned Friday night - we're meeting at St. Pauli train station at 11:30pm and going somewhere on the Kiez to party together. She messaged me asking to hang together (on a Friday night, no less) and I did make clear what my intention was (by asking if she was single/had a boyfriend) so I'm optimistic about my chances here. Hoping that goes well at least.

I've really powered down in the last few weeks or so - most of my going-out is limited now only to Friday and Saturday nights, since those are the two nights when Frieda B is open. Until I can find a consistent wing to roll with I'm going to have to deal with going solo. Most of my thoughts are on next month when I go to Poznan - I really wish I could just be there right now. Just gotta be patient.

DAY 57 - 17/10/2014

Yet another D2 that ended up going nowhere.

It started off innocently enough - she messaged me in the afternoon saying that she had just won 2 tickets to a concert that night at 8pm. Instead of inviting me to join her (which would be the logical thing, you know) she says she's going with a friend and that they'll both join me on the Kiez once it's finished. Fine, I guess - maybe at least the friend will be hot and I can game her as well.

11:00pm rolls around and I'm leaving to head downtown - I get a message from her switching where we're meeting up, then telling me her battery's dead. At this point I'm kinda miffed and thinking she's not taking me seriously, but I figure if I can't respond to her there's no sense calling her out for it. I find the place and wait for her to arrive. When she does, she gives me the briefest of greetings to her friend (who was female, but not at all attractive) and proceeds to desperately try to find another one of her friends (guy) who she "absolutely has to find."

At this point I'm starting to get pissed. This girl saw fit to bring not one, but at least two other people along with her to a meeting that I thought at first would be just us two - on one of my prime nights for hunting, no less. For the next 15 minutes or so I try to run some game but she's too distracted either being on her phone, talking with her one friend, or trying to find her guy friend. She ends up going to the washroom with her and suggesting I go find some girls to dance with while they're gone.

No - fuck this. I'm out. Eject and head back to the Kiez, to - where else - Frieda B. Unfortunately, my night didn't end up going any better over there, either. Almost all of the approaches that I ran (something like 7 or 8) ended up burning out after the first minute or so.

The one approach that managed to get any traction at all was on this petite chick dancing next to me as I was at the bar. She ended up being a mix of German, Canadian, and Panamanian heritage, so she hooked pretty well when I mentioned being from Canada. It started to peter out after about 15 minutes or so tho, when she asked me how old I was. Thinking that she looked roughly my age, I told her the truth - 21. (She guessed 22.) She, however, ended up being 27 - and, on top of which, had gotten dumped by a cheating boyfriend a few days ago, and so was not in the mood to hook up with a new guy, or so she told me repeatedly. To top it off, her friend was busy being all over another guy (who was actually French, not German, of course) and my target was feeling miffed about that, to boot.

Even with all that, I stuck it out since it was the only prospect I had gotten so far. I'd try dancefloor game with her - she'd push me away if I got too close. I'd try sitting down with her and kino-escalating while chatting - she'd move my hand off her and shift away from me. She eventually left with her friend (and her friend's guy) soon afterwards - I went for the number close at least, but she declined.

That was the only real interaction I had that lasted any length. It seems like my chances, right now, are conspiring to make my hunting unpleasant and generally not fun at all. Gaming here hasn't been enjoyable here in Hamburg for a good length of time - I'm down to only nightgame on Fridays and Saturdays, and only cause, well, it's not like I'm doing anything else at those times.

Meeting up with a fellow Forum member today (Saturday evening) - we're going to go to Jungfernstieg and do some daygame together. Probably a lot of bitching about how it's hard here in Germany to get anywhere as well, haha. Will let you guys know how it goes.

The girl did not take you seriously and you made a cardinal sin.

Never go on a date with a girl who is bringing a friend, the friend is there to cockblock. You should have told her you were busy and let's hook up next week. I know some say never delete a girls number but I would delete hers.

Why did she not invite you to the concert?
Why invite you out?
Who the heck was the male friend she had to find?
I would have checked her on her behaviour, but I would never put myself in that situation.

DAY 58 - 18/10/2014

Not much in the way of anything happened today. I did meet up with a member of the forum (Frank) who was in Hamburg for a day-trip from where he was studying outside of Bremen. Frank's definitely a cool guy - beginner to game like myself, so it was cool to get a view of a different perspective to game. We did a few daygame approaches each just to pass the time and offer light critiques of each other's style - mostly just for fun rather than anything else.

Incidentally, one of my former prospects (from Jungfernstieg daygame, but I can't remember at all which day it was) messaged me today saying that as soon as she finds an apartment, she's down to grab drinks together. So, at least for now I have another prospect to (potentially) work on.

For whatever reason, the food I had for dinner (I ate dinner at a Asian food joint with Frank) didn't agree with me after I had dropped him off at his train to Bremen. Didn't do any nightgame tonight because I was just feeling too ill. Hoping next week is better for me.

@rudebwoy - lesson definitely learned from that one. Guess all I can say is "charge it to the game" and move on.

I just overflew your thread and saw that you have hard time here in my hometown Hamburg... stop spending your weekends in Frida which is one of the worst 'clubs' in Hamburg. Do yourself a favour and look for a better venue for nightgame

Did you try some high end clubs? Such as Golden Cut, H1 or Club du Nord?
I don't understand why they block you at all other clubs

Here is my advise as a Hamburg local:

Nightgame:
- Every Thursday to [email protected] U Meßberg. After work club with cheap cocktails and loads of drunk hot girls. Prime time starts around out 7PM to 8pm. Afterwards you can go to Moondoo (student's night)

-Look out for special partys such as Mädchendiscothek, Pop66 and Belle Etage - there are the hottest girls of Hamburg (check out Facebook)

- Fridays/Saturdays
Sternschanze:
Go to Goldfishglas, Katze or Haus 73 (the dancefloor area) or if it's warm just approach on the crowded street. Primetime depends on the weather but usally starts around 22pm

Reeperbahn - Biggest Cockfest in my opinion
Don't go to Frida! The only club/bar I would consider at Hans Albers Platz is Platzhirsch/Fritzbar if you are more into young girls
-Moondoo has lots of hotties but requires real skills or a social circle
-Upper East is full of gold diggers
-Noho is quite good
-If you are early you can try Shooters and Halo, used to be quite okay but I haven't been there for months. But imo Reeperbahn is a waste of time on the weekend, I had most of the pulls on Thursdays

Daygame:
-As you already found out the Campus of the UoHamburg Dammtor is great
-Sternschanze and Altona area
-Train Station Berliner Tor
-Hauptbahnhof or Jungfernstieg

If you are into EE girls go to the train stations Allermöhe, Nettelnburg or Bergedorf for daygaming. These are the areas with the highest population of russians and polish

By the way: You really ran into some weird German girls! Sure we don't have such a strong SNL culture as in the US/UK but still you really ran into some weird girls
If you have further questions just ask, I'm from Hamburg, have polish ancestors and lived a couple of months in London and Canada

Awesome post - thanks a ton for the info. Definitely going to be using it going forwards. And yeah - I definitely don't like Frieda B, but it seems I will get rejected at any upscale/high end club by rolling solo here in Hamburg. Frieda B's been the only place in Hamburg where I've been able to pull anything at all and not have to expect getting blocked by the bouncers.

And on that topic - it defies description for me. I've never been rejected by so many venues so consistently in my life by going solo.

I've been blocked at high-end nightclubs and dive bars.
I've been blocked during times of peak crowding and at times where it's been completely dead.
I've been blocked rolling solo and then seen large all-guy groups get in no problem - which completely throws me for a loop since I would figure bouncers would be keen to keep ratios as even as possible.

And something else I've noticed - when I get blocked by the bouncers it's almost immediate. It's happened at multiple times and venues where I've walked up to the screening point, and even before I reach for my ID the bouncers are already shaking their heads and motioning me aside. And it's not a question of my dress - I've been rejected in T-shirt/hoodie/jeans and collared shirt/slacks with proper shoes. It's at the point where I figure that if there's a bouncer at the venue, it's at least a 75-80% chance I won't get in by myself. Though I've never had a problem getting in anywhere when I've been with at least one other person or when I'm in a group.

I've had people offer potential reasons why this keeps happening to me, and I've included my own reasoning into the following possible answers:

1) Maybe most of the bouncers here don't like people going to a place solo unless they have prior connections. As has been previously mentioned, Germany is a very social-circle centric culture, and I've never seen anyone other than foreigners or minority types roll solo. Maybe it's as simple as that most of the bouncers think it's weird for someone to do that, and they don't like it. But I know of other forum members who've been able to get into places solo where I've been blocked.

2) I've been told that I give off a very serious, obviously military-like vibe at first glance - maybe that's what they don't like. I'm tempted to say this is what my problem is.

3) It's been suggested that bouncers here are more inclined to block me because of the fact that I have an obvious Slavic look. I don't usually like pulling race/ethnicity cards or whatever, but maybe it's as simple as that.

Anyone willing to offer thoughts or comments?

I haven't noticed a difference between entering a club alone or with friends

I guess it's the combination of slavic and military look. Do you have a really short haircut?
The sad truth about German bouncers is that they are racist if someone looks obviously arabic, EE or black. An arabic friend of mine had to rent a table 4 weeks in a row in order to befriend the bouncers, before that he had no chance getting in

But the good news is that you shouldnt have a problem getting into Sausalitos and Bars at Sternschanze which are easier for gaming than high end clubs (but have way worse ratios)

If you still wanna try to game on Reeperbahn just go with a Wing, Friend, Pivot or whoever because Frida B. is really one of the crapiest venues in Hamburg

Another tip:
Order online a 'Radio Hamburg Clubcard'. It's for free and gives you free entrance into some clubs if you arrive there early

Hey man,

Was cool hanging with you the other day. I wasn't really on my game, having gotten only a couple hours of sleep, and dealing with a mild hangover. But yeah, next time.

I was very surprised at how well everyone dressed at Jungfernstieg. I don't think a hoodie and sneakers will cut it for there.

I also think screening for girls who are more your type (as in, personality wise too) will work better. It will feel more natural to speak with them. The other day I had a great 30 minute conversation with a guy because I made a comment about how his dog walks. He asked why, and I expanded. And next thing I know, we're just talking about random shit. Shame it wasn't a cute girl, but yeah.

There's that girl who asked me for my FB, from the library and then party where we chanced upon each other. She's a cute and shy type. She was the girl who was told that I'm trouble. When we were talking at the party, it was more of a "build a connection" kind of conversation. I got drunk and can't remember, but it was just straight talk, with typical obnoxious ("Yep. I'm very funny.") sprinkled in. And she's genuinely curious about me, and she seems more into me after I showed a crappy short story I wrote. And she's asking questions about it.

I need to push for a meet soon.

So my point was, I kinda got burned out with approaching, and I sort of forgot why I was even in the game. I don't like talking to boring girls. I reckon that I speak artificially with cute girls I approach, and while I can easily ramble, it is not very genuine. I'm just thinking "ok, get her number and eject if instadate can't happen". I guess they can see I don't like them much, and I'm just trying to get my dick wet. So, screen harder for girls that are my type. Like what I did with that American girl.

DAY 64 - 24/10/2014

I've been pretty busy in the last little while as well as low on cash - so not many opportunities for either day or night game.

I did go out this Friday with a bunch of guys from Texas A&M who are also on exchange here. Left the college campus at around 2215 and headed to an Irish pub on the Hans-Albertz Platz for some pre-drinking - we finished there at around 0015 and headed over to Club Halo on Grosse Freheit (they have student nights where you get free entry if you show student ID.) And we got in. It's a mindfuck to think that I can get into virtually any club here with a group of four other drunk, badly dressed Americans, but that I would be blocked by myself, even if I wasn't throwing off the ratio as badly. But I digress.

First impressions of Halo was that it was a lot better suited for gaming than Moondoo, which is the other main upscale club here on the Kiez. Halo has a large straight bar, right along the main corridor, just off the dance floor but separated from it - making it a perfect place to post up and wait for girl to approach at the bar. Moondoo, from what I found, was less structurally favourable since the placement of the bars didn't funnel a majority of the girls to any one place. But in anycase - I had two approaches here.

First was a strawberry-blonde chick with very dark red lipstick. As it turned out, she was of Serbian ethnicity (like myself) but had been born in Germany and had lived here her entire life. I managed to banter with her for a while about our shared background until her friends pulled her away to go sit with them - she didn't offer to have me join them so I figured to let her go.

Second approach was a petite-blonde type - the approach went much the same way as the first. She was in a group of three - herself, one other pretty cute girl, and the obvious mother hen of the group, who, naturally, was fat and ugly and looked more than ready to cockblock. In any case, I opened and she hooked, and again we chatted for a while, but, again, she got pulled away by her friends without offering me to join them.

My group of people had arrived at around 0030, and when we did the dancefloor was already packed but the rest of the bar was pretty empty. As it turned out, there weren't a lot of people there ordering drinks, so I had to make the choice between waiting for the girls to get drinks or going the kamikaze-style route of trying to approach on the dancefloor and hoping something hooks. Eventually it looked like close to everyone else was staying on the dancefloor, so I decided to bounce. (The other Americans had already left earlier by this point.)

Ended up going to Club Hamburg - which had been my go-to spot earlier in time - and actually managed to get in solo again. So, at least there's one good spot where I can still get in going solo, thankfully. Unfortunately, it was about 0230 by the time I got there, and there was the same problem there as at Halo - most everyone by now was on the dancefloor, with few people getting drinks. Managed to knock off two more approaches here as well.

First was the best of the night - she hooked, and asked if I wanted to come join her and her friend at one of the couches once they finished getting drinks. Went to go sit down with her, but the conversation started to peter out afterwards, until the point where she switched seats to sit on the opposite side of her friend. I basically took that as my signal to eject.

Second was a blowout - she ignored me after I tried to open her.

And, thus went my night. I'm starting to see myself burning out for game here in this city. The terrible logistics situation I'm forced to be in, plus the unfriendly bouncers and expensive prices, are making this a pretty difficult thing to keep pushing. But I'm here, so I might as well keep trying - even if it's less often due to my newer demands on my time right now.

There is a "Polish party" at Club Hamburg tonight - might go check that out to see if there are any sweet and feminine Polish girls there.

DAY 65 - 26/10/2014

Did more nightgame down on the Kiez - went to Club Hamburg and got blocked, tried to get into Neidklub (which is where the free student entry is on Saturday) and got blocked as well. Started thinking I'd do some night street game if I couldn't get in anywhere, then remembered that Naughty_Boy suggested a club known as Noho. Went over figuring that I'd get rejected again. But just in time, a group of two Germans - one ok-looking girl and one super-hipster looking guy - asked me if I knew what type of music they played at the venue. Bantered with them for a little bit and ended up asking them if I could go in with them. They agreed, and I managed to get in. Nice how sometimes luck favours you like that.

Noho is one of the cooler-looking clubs that I've seen around the Reeperbahn. Definitely one of the classier ones - from what I saw most of the guys were in suits/ties, or at the very least collared shirts. I was wearing a sweater over collared shirt with dark slacks and still felt underdressed.

Ran about 5 or so approaches by night's end - I was there from about 0000 to roughly just past 0300, but most of the people were on the dancefloor after about 0130-0200, which made approaching at the bar harder. There were three approaches that stuck out in my mind:

First was this chick who ended up being from Poland. She didn't speak much English and kept trying to speak to me in German - I tried with what little I knew but didn't get too far with it. The talking was pretty one-sided, and it ended up feeling like I was talking to a brick wall. She ended up excusing herself to go back to her friends, and I let her walk.

Second target I happened to make incidental eye contact with and saw her smile at me - so I head right over an open. She opened really warmly, asking me tons of personal questions - but as I kept talking to her I increasingly could tell she was a fatty (with, unfortunately, a deceptively cute face.) A quick touch-check along her waist confirmed FUPA presence. I politely ejected and kept hunting.

Third was a drunk two-set that I asked for a cigarette from - one was tall and blonde wearing a white cocktail dress, the other a shorter brunette wearing black and a fedora. I was getting better signs of interest from the first one asking me all the personal questions, but the other one was being more playful and flirty with me (though she was drunk at the time, so it may not have meant as much.) They ended up leaving by going to the washroom, and I ran into them later and reopened them (as I wasn't working anything else at the time.) The three of us tried to go to the dancefloor together, but I ended up losing them in the crowd on the way there. Didn't see them again after that.

That ended up being most of my night. Though I can saw Naughty_Boy's suggestion of Noho is spot-on - it's a good bar if you don't mind spending a bit of extra coin to get access to the higher-level talent of Hamburg.

I've been rolling out with more layers these days, and I've been getting increasingly more eye contact than before. I'd say my jacket, shoes, and scarf are the standout parts of my outfit in general.

Do you find that you get checked out more at rhe university? Also, try getting a Tandem with a cute girl for English-German. Stalk her on FB if you need to, to find out if she has a bf. I am tempted to do that, already ID'd 1 potential target. There'd be another 1, but after creeping her FB, I saw she had a bf.

I get the sense that the German girls around here want to make their intentions known themselves while maintaining some plausible deniability. Example? I was out this week, and someone in a group asked my friends and me where some club was. We walked with them, explained, and I switched to English and gave him some more spots he could hit up, threw in a few jokes, shared a few smokes, and next thing I know, one of the girls joins in the conversation, and the other walks up to me and explicitly says she is curious about me and wants to know more.

I can recall other such interactions with girls that went a lot smoother compared to cold approaches. They are a rather suspicious and peculiar bunch.

DAY 66 - 27/10/2014

Went down to the University of Hamburg and did a couple hours of daygame in the afternoon/evening. Managed to get two numbers out of four approaches.

The first number was from a girl who ended up being a Turkish nanotechnology student. She was, technically speaking, born in Turkey (during a vacation back home in Istanbul) but only stayed there a week at the time because her family was already living in Germany - but it would still count as a flag anyways. She offered to walk with me to a campus information office about 10 minutes away, so I went for that in lieu of insta-dating to a café. When I number-closed her she hesitated for about 5-6 very long seconds before saying yes, but mentioning that she was really busy. I got her contact details but realized later that I had forgot to save them in my phone. Damn. Well, she has my name/number at least.

Second number was from a petite Romanian redhead (petite redheads, my favourite ) Messaged her about an hour after grabbing the number to see if she'd respond - she responded back about an hour later, so at least it's a good number. Figure I'll message her tomorrow to set up a meet for later this week.

On a whim, I messaged the prospect that had said she'd let me know once she's found a new apartment. Suprisingly, she messaged me back almost immediately afterwards - I hadn't been expecting that. After chatting I sounded her out for meeting this week - she said no but immediately counteroffered with next week. As of now we're meeting Thursday next week - timings and venues TBD. Interest, at least, seems strong. We'll see if that pans out.

And I'm meeting up with my FB again tomorrow night. So at least sex on the regular is still happening after my colossal fuckup of D52.

@Frank - yeah, from what I've heard anecdotally opening through social circle as opposed to cold approach will get you significantly further over the same time period. But, then again, I suppose that's true everywhere. Haven't done enough daygame at the Uni to see if there's a difference - although there's a greater amount of talent here than at Jungfernstieg by simple reasoning that the demographic is heavily biased towards students my age. I'm going to start going out more dressed-up for daygame and see if that has any effect. BTW Frank - hit me up if you're going to be in Hamburg for a weekend anytime soon. I'm going to be gone for the middle part of November - wouldn't want you to be here while I'm gone haha.

As mentioned before:
Kiez is the worst location for nightgame - in every club, especially when you go out on your own: No matter where you the ratios are bad, you have to deal with groups and play high energy game due to all the action. So if you don't have a wingman or befriend the obstacles your will need a lot of luck.
Just go to Sausalitos on Thursday or Sternschanze (Katze, Goldfischglas) on the weekend, it requires a lot less high energy, bouncers wont reject you and people should react a lot better towards foreigners

Comment about social circle game: It's no difference like in the US/UK. You need tight game anyway, just coming from another country doesn't Dhv you as in EE. Just approach more Sets, if you can count your Sets after a night at Kiez you definetly didn't approach enough.
All girls I or my friends layed in Hamburg came from cold approaches or approach invitations. I don't know who invented this social circle theory about germans...

DAY 67 - 28/10/2014

Not too much to report - I managed to number-close a solid 8 whilst trying to find the right bus to the house of my FB. Gotta love how chance gives you opportunities like that. As it turned out, her dad was living in Canada for three years because he was in the German military, so she loved when I told her that I was in the Canadian military. She messaged me later that night asking me if I got to my friend's house - as I was balls-deep in my FB, haha.

I messaged her later today (the 29th - I write these reports as a recap of the day earlier). Managed to quickly set up a D2 for Saturday evening. So, that's three day/night street game prospects I'm currently working on (two with confirmed D2s), plus my still-present FB. Maybe things are starting to look up.

I lived in Hamburg for a few years and left. Beautiful city but one of the shittiest places on earth to date.
I could write a book on my experiences with German girls but to sum up some of them:

- Not a ONS culture at all, but 2nd/3rd dates are guaranteed
- Social circle game prevails. If you want to meet girls, make friends with dudes first.
- Tinder/dating sites are a waste of time
- German guys have no game
- Most confident girls in Europe in bed
- It's not uncommon to see ugly ass guys (hardcore beta types) with 8's or higher, or vice versa.
- Style/fashion are more important than build. Muscles don't matter much here.

False, compared to what? I lived in London and Hamburg is much better for dating (big city but not too big, affordable, good public transport, many dating locations, at Reeperbahn you can get hammered with beer for 1€ in a bar)

Style and fashion are important, muscles and good looks either but that's important in every westernized country.

Hamburg is maybe not as good as EE due to the fact that people are not so impressed by americans but it definetely offers you a lot of opportunities and is very affordable

Compared to every other part of Germany, and especially London where I also lived. I'm now back in the Ruhrpott area which is cheaper, warmer, and people are friendlier. If you can speak the language, "nordisch kalt" is a pretty commonly heard description of people in Hamburg by those elsewhere. Many foreign exchange students who spend 6 months here think it's Las Vegas but rarely experience life as an adult in the culture.

It's well known in these forums that girls in different cultures react to different types of game. German girls like beta game, which is why couples are often unevenly matched.

Social circles and group dynamics here are the polar opposite of the UK, especially when it comes to dating. Germans have shells, as do social circles, which is why to many foreigners they come off as being cold. The same applies when you're approaching a girl or gaining friends. It's more difficult, but there's more substance to it.

Also, Hamburg is the second most expensive city in Germany, far from affordable for many. If you want a party lifestyle, head to Berlin.

It depends: Housing in Munich is more expensive, Berlin and Ruhrpott are of course cheaper but offer a lower quality of life and girls imo. But still Hamburg is still a lot cheaper than London (clubbing, public transport, apartments, groceries).

Sure Germans come over as more cold and reserved but that doesn't mean automatically that you have an advantage via social circle game.

Despite that you have a huge amount of different/mixed ethinicites in bigger cities such as Hamburg or Berlin so you cant refer things such as 'beta game' or 'german culture' because these Polish, Russians, Turks, Latinos, Africans, Persians
Persians, Asians live in their communities and therefore react and behave differently

But I definetly agree with you that it's not good city for nightgame

DAY 69 - 30/10/2014

Went to Sausalitos for Thursday night as per the suggestion by Naughty_Boy - and it was a good suggestion. Plenty of talent was there to be had - though most, if not all of the people, were in their mid-20's or so. So it wasn't an ideal demographic for a 21-year old student. But still.

I arrived at around 1900 and left just before midnight.

First approach hooked, but her boyfriend came over after a few minutes so I ejected.

Next two approaches were both blowouts.

Third approach hooked pretty well - she was visibly drunk but actually pretty fun to talk to. 26, kinda tall, with red hair and bangs. Went to hit the dancefloor with her, isolating from her group of friends, and I figured I was good to go for the kiss - but we only partner-danced for a few seconds before she gave me the "I'm-kinda-seeing-someone-and-dancing-with-someone-else-would-be-cheating" spiel. I laugh it off, but by this point she can tell what my intentions are. She ejected to go back to her friends a few minutes later.

Fourth approach - I managed to get a few lines in before she let me know she was on a date with her boyfriend. Really polite and friendly about it, though. I thanked her for being considerate and ejected.

Fifth didn't speak a word of English. Too bad, cause she had a look that I really like - for anyone from Canada, think Carly Rae Jepsen, but about a half-foot shorter, and you'd get what she looks like.

Sixth and final one was the most fun - at least at first. When I followed up my initial opener by mentioning she didn't look like she was from Germany, she had me try and guess where she was from. My answer (Macedonia) was dead-on, and she was completely blown away by it. I don't even know how I managed to get it right, but it sorta just randomly popped into my head. That managed to buy me about 30 minutes of undivided attention on her part. I managed to isolate from her friend by suggesting a cigarette together, but when I tried to pull her to the dance floor she was more focused on finding her friend, whom she had lost in the meanwhile. We went looking for her - once they found each other it became increasingly clear I was losing the attention I'd built up earlier. I grabbed her number and left - though I figure that it'll probably end up not panning out.

My thoughts on the comments above from what I've experienced so far in my time here (though this mostly applies only to Hamburg)

- Definitely not a ONS culture - at least compared to the Anglosphere countries.

- While I wouldn't go so far as to say that German guys have no game, I find that it's pretty rare for them to make cold approaches during night game - they seem to stick within their own social group and try and wheel the girls within them. That's what makes them really relentless cockblockers, since if you grab their girls' attention they feel that they'll be going without for the duration. Most of the cold approaches I've seen so far by other guys have either been by white Anglo guys or German-speaking visible minorities/immigrants.

- Online game so far for me here is a complete bust. But maybe that's because my pics aren't as good as they should be - I'd rather take the time to better my daygame.

- Daygame itself seems to have an underrated potential here in Hamburg, since there's definitely more than enough talent to justify it. The recurrent problem I've been having is in deciding how explicit/implicit to make intentions known, since simply asking a girl out for drinks doesn't seem to carry the implicit understanding that it does back home.

At this point I would go to concerts or some sort of niche where you can gain friends and meet girls. This thread hurts me reading it.
