A strange situation confronted me and I'd appreciate some objective analysis from the brain trust here.

Flew to a business event and I had met up with a girl I had recommended for this particular event. She used to date a buddy of mine but I actually have never really spoken to her. Once she got the gig, we kept in touch, light texting, but she mentioned she had a BF so I didn't think much of anything.

I arrived for this short trip, and she latched on to me, came over to my hotel to drink, told me she broke up with her BF which put me on yellow alert. Nothing happened. During some drunken texts I told her I was interested but she said she didn't feel the same way.

The few days I was at this thing, she was always waiting around for me, wanted to be seen with me, etc. I gave a big presentation and after, she waited around like usual, wanted to go out with all of my colleagues. Yet when some other guy shows up, she gives him the flirty vibes in front of me while he ignores her.

After the hang with my colleagues, she follows me to my hotel, stays up with me until 3AM in my hotel drinking/smoking, even some couch touching/selfie taking - borderline flirtation here and there. Couldn't find the angle to do anything.

Two of my good friends were convinced we were fucking while I was there even though nothing was going on.

What the fuck is the deal? Is this bitch just using me for status to be seen with a big wig or was she actually playing games and wanting me to fight to get some escalation? My friends, enlighten me.

You already blew it by not escalating. She was in your hotel room till 3 am? You shouldve pushed for the bang and if she resisted, kicked her out and gotten some sleep instead. Never listen to what women say, always go with what they do. Shes obviously interested. You should work on your escalation game.

My piece of advice: You want to know if she really wanted you of if she's just after your status? The best way to find out was to escalate. It's your duty as a man to escalate the situation when you're alone in a room with a woman that passes your boner test.

But you didn't escalate and push your luck so now you'll never know. It's in the past now and it would be best if you just got that bitch out of your mind and moved on. There are plenty of fish in the sea and she seems rather disrespectful anyway.

You lost the girl but don't lose your dignity by running after her like a thirsty Kenyan marathon runner.


Another piece of advice: Never spill your 'feelings' towards a girl via text. That was a bad move on your part. You put her in the position to take advantage of you. She became the puppet master and you became a victim of her games.

if a girl is going to push the interaction forward with you not once but twice,
and you failed to escalate, then time wearing thin,

you gotta slam gears and move it forward, or else you're going to miss the oppertunity.
