Keep in mind that herpes infection rates are actually very high. For instance, in Australia HSV1 seroprevalence (infected or at least infected at some point) is 75%. HSV2 is usually around 20%.

The body usually leaves CD8 immune cells floating around the nerve sites where the virus lives, which kill any infected cells on an ongoing basis. Herpes symptoms are usually caused by immune system lackings more than anything else (either by genetics or a compromised immune system). 'Cold sores' comes from the historical observation that the sores come during colds - which uncoincidently is when the immune system is overloaded fighting another virus.

I'm going to get tested soon. I've stopped bringing in new girls I have a small rotation I've recently set up so once that month law sets in I'm heading to the doc just to be sure. But like I said I've never had any type of symptoms. I do have a really good immune system. I rarely get sick, maybe once every other year.

Freaky the first time. After using it once, it is so discreet that you will think "why haven't I done this before?".

Get the 8-panel test. You will almost for sure come up positive for HPV-1. Don't freak out, this means you have had an oral cold sore or have one brewing.

If you come up negative on the other 7 panels, then celebrate and try not to raw dog as much.
