^ Come to think of it, the casting of the show was superb. I can't imagine anyone else playing Chris except Imperioli. Same goes for Paulie and Sil etc. They fit the roles perfectly.

The only borderline casting error in my mind was Tony B. I just didn't see Buscemi as a mobster, or even as someone who would be related to Tony.

^^I totally agree about Buscemi. He should have stuck to directing. He just looked weird playing a mafiosi and ruined the season for me. I would have loved to see Joe Pesci in Sopranos.

The season 1 hit on Tony still has me confused. It was as if Junior thought that Livia ordered it, and then when Livia acted as if she didn't, Junior regretted doing it. And somehow Tony was willing to give him a pass on that.

David Chase modeled Livia after his own mother, who he said was a miserable cunt. Livia's signature phrase "oh poor you" was actually something Mrs. Chase used to say all the time.

What was your saddest death in the Sopranos? For me I hated seeing fat Vito getting whacked, literally beaten to death. I like Ralph too and wished he could have stayed longer. Phil was a prick, liked seeing him killed.

Adrianna's death was quite depressing to watch. I know everybody's was thinking "the bitch had it coming" but in my mind she was just a dumb girl who got mixed up in the wrong company. And it should be noted that she stayed loyal and supportive of Chris throughout the series, even organizing the drug intervention for him.

It's too bad that she fell for the Fed trick of trumping up criminal charges. They didn't have much on her but duped her into thinking that she would have done serious time had she not cooperated.

They actually did have a lot on her because of the video, but it never should have gotten to that point. When she first got duped by that undercover girl all they had was circumstantial evidence (hearsay from a cop) that she was doing some coke with Chris. They couldn't have even charged her with anything at that point, much less convict her of any crimes.

It should have never even got to the point that it did. She was pretty dumb about the thing.

Yeah, she was a sad case. I felt bad for her. She was just dumb and naive and everyone took advantage of that.

It hurt to see her throw up all over the table when the FBI came down on her. Then she had IBS from all the stress, and Christopher would humiliate her in front of other people talking about her shitting all the time.

When Silvio drove her into the woods and she realized she was going to be whacked, that was one of the saddest scenes.

I think Big Pussy getting whacked was hard to take. He asked if he could sit down and have a glass of whisky. He started reminiscing with the guys.

I also felt bad for Ralph, as crazy as it sounds. He got whacked by Tony at the time that his kid was in the hospital with serious injuries. I felt like Tony could've at least waited to take him out.

That's how good the Sopranos is. Makes you sympathize with someone like Ralph.

Actually, in that episode, Ralph finds out the kid is going to be ok.

Ralph was a sick fuck. Maybe the biggest sociopath of all of them. He was sexually deviant too. He use to take it up the ass with dildos if I remember correctly. He use to roll play that he was a "who-ah" being abused by his pimp.

I had no sympathy for Ralph after he killed that girl from the Bing. That was just really fucked up.

It was also pretty crazy how they didn't even really seem to care that much either. She was deemed a "whore" and because of that somehow worth less than 'normal' human beings.

Ralph was a fucker. Possibly the nastiest character on a show all about nasty characters. I wish they had made his death more satisfying than the awkward grapple between him and Tony; By the time they bumped him off you wanted something truly horrible to happen to him.

The one thing I love about Ralph is his pronunciation of the word whore.

I just watched Season 2 again and Richie is a great character. The way his saliva collects in his jaw--like a true sociopath.

This is the second allusion to how Tony chokes Christopher in the final season.

Animals were a big deal in the Sopranos. Like the orange cat that stared at Chris' picture. I always felt it meant Chris was going to be a rat at some point. He thought about before killing that writer from, Cleaver.
