edtf, I read through your thread and it seems you have a very high success rate (unless you are not reporting some of your approaches). If I am not mistaken you are number closing more than 50% of the time from cold approaches so pretty sure you have overcome your anxiety issues and are able to ramble with the best. That is insane ratio, would make even Justin Wayne proud.

Ah yes, I'm still getting over anxiety, and I think its important to also know that this is 10 approaches in the course of almost 4 months. Many people are probably doing more approaches in a day than I've done this entire time.

Another important thing to note is that I'm usually approaching after I get some kind of eye contact or smile or something. #1 and #9 is the only exception to this, where I opened without any signals of interest from her. Its another issue I need to work on, to open girls who look busy or are not giving off obvious indicators that she wants me to approach.

@ edtf...Roosh says that if you have a very high close rate, then you are probably not approaching enough and just doing the easy approaches when a girl gives you an IOI. I need to work on this as I have the same problem too.

#11: Girl I saw at the gym, latina 7/10. I notice her and she has a cute face, and I'm trying hard to think how I should open her. I keep scheming while doing bench press, finally I can't think of anything and I'm like fuck it, 3… 2… 1… and I walk over. I say "excuse me, sorry to bother you". She takes out her headphones and smiles and waits, and I continue "how many more sets do you have?" She says she has 1 more but there's 2 more of the same machine right next to her. There's 2 seconds of awkward silence and I thank her and leave.

Damn, I psyched myself out, but I couldn't think of anything else to transition. Maybe should have talked about her workout or something. Whatever, I opened a girl for the first time in the gym, and that's a step for me.

Bro I have the same problem at my gym. The combination of headphones in and mid-workout make it a tough approach. This one girl in particular has been eye fucking me for weeks now.
Im thinking of just walking up to her and saying " Hey I see you around here often and never got a name out of ya". Something casual and friendly. My suspicion is that if she already finds me attractive then shes probably happy that I came up to her, and most likely will be rather friendly.

On a side note, if your gym has a members hot tub and sauna and you have the extra time, hit it up. Iv started going lately, and Iv met a fair amount of women there, the approach is much easier, and that way next time you see them in the gym you can say hi to each other as you already established a re-pour with her.

Yeah this is fine, good work. Now you're in a position where you are thinking of the next step. Eventually you'll get it all the way to a bang, and then you'll start focusing on weaker links in the chain to improve consistency.

Just to self reflect, I had drunk enough to overcome anxiety and make tons of approaches in club, but I had drink so much I started forgetting names, re asking the same questions, and tripping over myself. Gotta control it better in the future

1 drink max - too much and you will run into that problem every time. you need to overcome anxiety without the crutch of alcohol.

Went to the mall today with my crew, who're all kind of newbies, but all down to approach.

#12: At a clothes shop, and I see an asian 7, and this is my first time going indirect at a mall, so I feel butterflies in my stomach, and I feel my heart beating out of my chest. 3… 2… 1... I walk up to her, and tell her i'm thinking of picking something for my cousin's birthday, and ask her opinion. She says I should get something knitted, and I say that I've not familiar with girl clothes, and I point to a feathery looking one and ask what she thinks. She giggles and says, maybe you should get this, and she turns her back to me and walks away. Damn OK, i thought, guess thats it. I hang out around downstairs, and she is walking around the store with her friend giggling and looking over her shoulder. Fuck, I feel like an idiot. I go out to make a phone call, and when I come back, my friend says that she handed him a sweater she picked out to give to me. Damn, turns out she was walking around the shop to pick something out for me. I have no clue how to re-engage, and I bounce.

#13: One of the guys in my crew has never approached before in his life, and in order to get him into it, I demonstrate how to open at a food court. I walk up to a 5/10 asian girl and ask her about her cell phone case, and whether she likes it or not. I'm not that into her, so I thank her after that and go back to my table. I tell him just to open with anything and he says he's down to try. For some reason anxiety lessens when you're with supportive bros.

#14: In a tea shop, I see 2 asian girls, 1 7/10. She gives me eye contact, but we're sitting at a far table. I try to think of what to say, and I'm like "fuck it, I'm just going to go direct". My heart is beating out of my chest and my hands are literally shaking when I am reading the menu. Holy shit, I feel adrenaline running through me.

I walk over, and I say "Hey, excuse me."
She looks up at me.
Me: "I was just having tea with my friends, and I saw you and thought you were super cute, and wanted to say hi"
Her: "Oh thank you!"
Me: "What's your name?"
Her: "Namiko, nice to meet you" *we shake hands, her friend pulls out her phone and looks down*
Me: "Oh cool, that sounds japanese, are you from Japan?"
Her: "Yeah I am but I spent half my life in the US"
Me: ”どこから来ましたか？” (Where are you from?)
Her: "Kanazawa"
Me: "Oh that's cool, so are you a student here?”
Her: "Yeah I'm studying nursing"
Me: "Nice, I'm also studying medicine right now. What year are you?"
Her: "This is my first semester right now, how about you?"
Me: "Yeah same here".

I feel that she's kind of lukewarm, I can't read whether she's interested or not, so I decide to do or die.

Me: "Hey listen, I know you're with your friend and I don't want to bother you for too long. There's no pressure, but if you want to exchange numbers sometime maybe we can get a coffee sometime and get to know each other"
Her: "Oh, I don't know what your purpose is, but you should know that I have a boyfriend."
Me: "That's fine, it was nice meeting you" We shake hands, and wish each other good night, and I go back to my table.

But damn!!! I got my first direct day approach out of my system. I've been trying to do it for months, and today I finally summoned the courage to do it, sober, during the day. It feels good, as if I've been released from my shackles.

#16: Walk into a bookstore, and I see a black girl with an amazing body. I pretend to look at books on the other side of the table she is at. I'm moving around the table slowly looking at books, and I notice she is also moving in my direction. She stops in front of me and pulls out her phone and texts in front of me. I ask her what the book she's holding is about. She talks about it, and I make a statement about those kinds of new age plus astrology books becoming popular, and she asks me about my book. I say mine is about birthdays and personalities, and I flip to my birth date and show her my fortune and color as an example. I ask her what her birthday is and she says May 2nd, and I flip to that. Her color is green, and she is outgoing. I mention she's also wearing a green shirt, and she laughs and says "oh my god, you're right!" She asks me if I'm from around here, and I say I'm back for break. She says she's also visiting her grandparents, but she's actually from Texas. Since I've been in Texas, we talk about that, and I ask her what she's doing there. She says she's a junior in high school (shit!), and asks me what I'm doing. I talk about my med school, and she's pretty interested. We then talk about traveling, and finally she wishes me good luck on school and I wish her the same and I eject.

Went to a rave, made sure not to drink too much. Made about like 5 approaches on the dance floor, all didn't want to dance. On the 6th approach, asked a black girl with dyed blonde hair and a nice ass and booty shorts to dance, and she smiled and said yes. Damn she grinded hard, and had a banging ass. We danced, and I flipped her forward, grinded her in the front, flipped her around, grinded her in the back, and felt up her tits. Holy shit they were as big as grapefruits, instant boner as I fondled them while she grinded her ass against me. Finally, I spun her around again, and went for the make out, no resistance. We danced for a while longer, and went for the make out again. After about 30 minutes, we were both tired from dancing. Her girlfriend wanted to use the restroom, and I gave her my number, and she texted me. After a while, she came back and we danced again. About 20 minutes later, her friend grabbed her and then talked for a second, and then they both bounced, without even saying anything to me.

What I could have done better:
I know I danced with her too long, but logistics for pulling were pretty shitty. I came with 4 friends, and my friends apartment was pretty far away, and I didn't know the address, so I couldn't call for a ride, so I couldn't pull her back. Thinking back, I should have pulled her into the bleachers in the stadium, where it was dark enough and maybe I could have pulled there. Anyone with rave experience please advise

What I did well:
One skinny short dude in her group kept trying to cockblock me while I was grinding her. Kept trying to pull her away to take selfies, give her water, talk to her, and being a fuckin pain in the ass. On one occasion he pulled her over for a selfie, and then she was dancing in front of him, but he didn't try to grind her. I roped my arm over her, pulled him out from in front of him, and she squealed with delight and started grinding me again. He didn't try to cockblock again after this.

#18: Today I was at the bus stop when 2 chinese girls also came to wait for the bus. I opened them about the schedule, and she recognized my accent and asked if I was Taiwanese, while the other girl seemed kind of reserved and colder. The first girl immediately began asking a lot of questions, showing a lot of interest, and I knew this was a sure thing, so I got her number. Both were 5's or so, so not sure if I will initiate, if she contacts me first i'll think about it. But i'm getting better at opening and number closing out of sheer habit, and I'm happy about that.

One more thing I need to work on is I have a pattern of being psyched out by pretty girls who give me sudden strong iois and not approaching. At the gym a girl separated from her group of friends to come stand near me, and I pretended not to notice, until her friends called for her to come back. What I should have done is an elderly opener, next time I will not let this happen.

Another thing I've noticed… compared to other people on the forum my approach diary sounds kind of lame. But over the past year I've gone from being anxious of even regular social contact such as asking for directions or time, and now I'm able to open pretty much every single day. It's a huge step for me, and that's whats most important at this point.

My level of game is like being at the gym and seeing the people around you putting up 3 or 4 plates in their lifts, and I'm barely lifting up the bar. Yet a year ago I couldn't even muster the strength to lift the bar. I'm making progress, one step at a time, I'll get there eventually!

Yeah thats true, online will help you screen, but I've noticed lately I've been kicking myself for passing up daytime approaches. When I see so many opportunities passing by, I find no reason to wait until I'm back behind a computer screen to chat them up. Usually I do indirect, and have only gone direct a handful of times, so its not awkward when the girl turns out to be underage, I just steer in the direction of just another friendly chat
