When I nuked my Facebook in 2010, I blocked and deleted over a thousand people, one at a time.

I didn't watch the video, but it's not hard to read the writing on the wall.
I do not click on "lists" of any kind. They are made for the mentally challenged.

haha fuck yeah, I just noticed that. Basically I commented on a friend's facebook, she's friends with him and he's well known in this country, she sent me a message asking how I know him, I'm assuming she'd seen me around, I looked at her pics, got her out on a date, rest is purely

I've done this a few times now funnily enough. Even off instagram too.

I'm the same way, although I have fewer friends. Used to read it semi-often at work, now I basically never check it because it's just people's stupid baby pictures or bullshit vacation shots and other male/female attention whoring. And the worst one is those political posts that are constant as well, even if I agree with them.

So now I abuse all the friends that are facebook addicts by just posting stuff and never reading theirs

Its such a horrific waste of time. I want to stop using mine, but I dont have a phone, so Ill lose contact with people I still like to talk to. On the other hand, I rarely do anything with any of my facebook friends, even when I know them outside of Facebook.

I think the biggest problem is everyone is on FB Messenger and no one is on AIM or anything like the old days. Its the ubiquitous messenger system.

I can relate to that part about Facebook causing someone to feel isolated and lonely. Back when I had Facebook, I would find myself scrolling through other peoples profiles late at night while I worked graveyard shift. It really would make me depressed.

Also, Facebook is a wet dream come true for daddy government and the intelligence services. It's a citizen made portfolio detailing everyone's lives. Their location, past locations, religious and political affiliations, likes and dislikes, and associates. F that noise. First step for anyone wanting to unplug from the matrix is to permanently delete your Facebook and fight through the two week grace period it gives you to reactivate it. Time is your most precious asset in this life, don't waste it looking at other peoples lives. Worry about your own. Keep the memories you have of people from your past the way they are without them being altered by some stupid post they put up.

Inspired by this forum, I deleted my facebook at the end of June. By July, I had missed invites to 2 parties, so I reactivated it.

It's how people communicate now. Not having one would be be like not having a phone. It's just so damn simple to use.

Also it's an easy way to improve your game through pre-selection. Girls are checking your facebook, whether you like it or not. Having a great facebook profile is much better than not having one at all (but not having one at all is better than having a shitty one). Make that shit look as Dan Bilzerian-esque as you fucking can. Add tons of friends, even ones you don't know too well. You can just unsubscribe from their updates, and block them from receiving yours.
