Pretty funny, but I'm surprised he didn't get slapped with assault or whatever it would be for continuing to kick the one guy when he was down. Not that I think he was wrong, he obviously wasn't trying to kill the guy, but if someone attacks you, you fight them off, then keep running after them when they're no longer a threat you really can't argue it was purely self defense anymore.

Maybe it was considered a justifiable asswhooping.

Its interesting they didnt pull out the gun when they got cornered like that.

Anyways i dont think he should work there anymore. They can come back anytime to shoot the guy. This is america after all.

I'm surprised there was no gun involved. Is this really Texas?! No prosecutors in Houston will bother that guy for kicking that guy. He better get a gun for next time.

Not sure about the state law over this but he could have landed with a GBH charge over that. By all means I enjoyed the thieves getting a beating of a lifetime but when that guy was down and he was booting him in the face still, it stops being defense and starts being GBH.

In the UK it would be him facing prison time, not the scumbags. At least Texas is good in that respect.

I dunno, it looks like he was only kicking him to keep him down until the cops got there. I believe when you make a citizens arrest you're allowed to use a reasonable amount of force - what reasonable is probably depends a lot on your jurisdiction. He could still get sued though.

I have worked on jobs with plenty of troublemakers coming through. Kicking the guy in the face/head is not a means of restraining him and you can kill him.

In films a man gets right up and can fight but a kick in real life to the temple or back of your skull throws the brain around and bursts blood vessels. He would be dying by the time the ambulance came.
