Rent yourself a cheap car or a campervan and spend a month driving across the country (You can easily drive across New Zealand in 3 or 4 days). Hit some beaches on the west coast of the North Island and then move onto bungy jumping, rafting, hiking and sky diving in the South Island.

NZ is a wonderful place if you like nature and outdoors activities. I wouldn't go for the women, unless you can home in on the Asian immigrants in Auckland.

i have spent most of 2012 in NZ! the place rocks!

kiwi girls are easy to bed and are actually fun to be with. NZ is perhaps your best choice if for some reason you wanna bang anglo girls

pity i was sick (had a brain tumour, luckily benign) and had poor logistics (lived in the house where my company office is). but i'll be back later this year

the place in general is one of my favorite places on this little blue crazy rock!

In my opinion, I would say white dudes wanting to bang Asian chicks might find Auckland to be the perfect place. Plenty of overseas student Asian chicks with their own central city apartments, wanting to date white guys to improve their English, normally from rich families that can afford to send them to NZ so they won't be anything like SE Asia gold diggers. And you're not dealing with the shitty Asian air quality and traffic and crowding etc.

Mercer consistently ranks Auckland as one of the world's top 3 cities to live in (I don't really agree...), but it is also not cheap. Renting an apartment in central city will cost you around $150USD weekly for a shitty studio, and a beer in a bar seldom drops below $6USD for a Heineken. After a while, it can also be boring as fcuk (especially on a budget) with literally nothing to do except go to the beach, chase the ugly girls or get boozed.

The Asian thing is exactly the same as most Australian cities, although NZ is much cheaper for it. $150 a week for a CBD studio in Auckland vs $300 a week in Melbourne vs $400-$450 in Sydney. Beer is the same price though.

The rest of NZ has a bit of a love hate thing going on with Auckland. They have the lion's share of growth and many Aucklanders view the rest of NZ in a somewhat patronising light. Auckland is a city which is experiencing a good amount of population growth its waterfront has been ranked the best in the world. Public transport is rubbish, if this new mayor gets things going it could be a great city. The best cities are often some of the smaller ones, Tauranga/Mount Maunganui have really good beaches, the Hoff rated the girls pretty highly when he came out. Wellington has more bars cafes and clubs than New York. If anything NZ does smaller cities really well. My hometown Christchurch is in the midst of a massive rebuild, it is rebuilding most of its cbd, this is a city of over 400,000 urban area. NZ women don't have a sexy image, the men probably are better looking, NZ has really good gyms and has a lot of top quality bodybuilders.

Auckland is a terrible excuse for a major cosmopolitan city. Globe is a party every single night filled with the backpacker circuit; you're likely to find it filled with Brit slags drinking it up on their one or two nights in town before their 8 am Kiwi E/Stray bus to Hot Water Beach. Met is where I regularly saw the most hot white girls in town, but I got the distinct feeling the bitchiness and bullshit from them were exponentially higher than anywhere else in the country. Interestingly, I was there when The Game came out; I bought it and read it in two days, beginning my journey down the rabbit hole.

I got laid a ton in NZ after that by working in a hostel. Another angle I would recommend is to go get a Kiwi drivers' license - they're good for 10 years and foreigners can obtain them - then go somewhere else for a while and come back two years later. If you've been licensed for two years, the backpacker busses will hire you as a driver. Then you're the guide male of the group. Goes without saying.

Or just get the hell out and go to Queenstown. Or Australia.

I know it's always easiest to blame the immigrants for your woes, but every time they do a study of New Zealanders in Australia the facts show that on average they have a lower unemployment level and are in a higher tax bracket than the Australian average.

Still, I guess you can always blame them for taking the jobs

New Zealand and Australia are relatively young countries built on immigrants input. The last thing Australia needs is cash from immigrants. You are already one of the richest countries in the world per capita with all that mineral wealth. All that is needed is labor and skills.

BTW, Magic Bullets, it was former PM David Lange who made the IQ quip.
Also, Australia and New Zealand both have similarly high education standards in the world.

Raser in case you didn't know Kiwis are most certainly not a drain on Australia's welfare system. You sound like a complete and utter red neck. Kiwis do not qualify for welfare period unless they are citizens, not even taxpaying Kiwis who have worked in Australia and have been made redundant. Kiwis are also the 2nd highest income earning nationality in Australia. As for rights, Australians living in NZ actually have rights they can vote after being there for two years and are eligible for welfare in NZ and disaster relief. I myself would like to see fewer Kiwis coming over to Oz as I think the grass is greener mentality is bs. I am an Ozzy and a Kiwi think NZ is a great country and will not stand for you trashing NZ. Many Kiwis have been left high and dry in Australia after the Brisbane floods while after the earthquakes they were given compensation. Stop showing such complete and utter contempt for NZ.

I thought I remembered Lange saying it, but Googling suggests debate over which of them said it. Also turns out to be a variation of a line used regarding pairs of countries for many years before either of them.
