I am not sure if there is a thread related to this. I didn’t come across it in a search.

The majority of my traveling now is done solo. I have had good experience meeting other forum members, but there is not thing like a good local wing in the country that you are in. Two countries in particular that I have made good male friendships/wings: Colombia and Brazil.

I also have also spent a lot of time in these countries, providing me with the opportunity to make friends. In my experience, the friends I have made helped me with social validation and the development of a social circle. Some of these friends went out of their way to make sure I was having a good time and would also introduce me to girls. My friendships with them made it possible to open doors to girls in social circles that I would never have been able to approach solo in a bar or restaurant for example. There didn’t seem to be a jealousy factor or resentment with me pursuing “their women”. From their end, I think they also received social proof with hanging out with a cool and worldly foreigner.

Conversely, my time in Poland taught me that there are Polish guys who harbor resentment towards foreigners for dating “their women”. I remember receiving dirty looks quite frequently from these guys when with a polish woman. I was cockblocked a few times in clubs in Wroclaw. One in particular cost me a chance with a knockout 18 year old. I was with another forum member and his girl. He and I both agreed that there was little I could have done in this particular situation.

A side note….Poland and Ukraine are countries where I saw locals running direct day game on several occasions. I haven’t seen a concerted effort in other countries besides the US. I shouldn’t be surprised I saw it in Wroclaw because it must be the Mecca of PUAs. Romania also seems to have a PUA community but their game seemed more sophisticated than the Polish and Ukrainian game I observed.

Good thread...

Off top of my head..these are places where social circle attempts are best avoided:

Seattle - Socially awkward dudes..closed off..just talk to the gals at bars (not hipster ones) bc they'll be grateful to converse with non-socially awkward guys...pts given especially if from out of town.

Atlanta - Dudes can be pretty nice..but a bit reserved in terms of not opening random chicks. Good to make friends though it's best to just go straight for the chicks in bar settings.

Las Vegas - Yeah just open sets of gals....wingmen on the fly in my past here have been non-existent. If I ever return to Vegas even for fun..it would be alone actually. Will just use the work convention excuse for rolling solo.

Barcelona - Shitty people & tacky vibe in general. Best course of action would be to find touristy women...no desire to ever return here.

Sao Paulo - As a foreigner like myself...cockblocked galore in club settings. Whether it was a pre-meditated effort from cutting edge schemes of local dudes...or white knighting..this sucked. Better off daygaming or streetgaming in this place as chicks are definitely open though appear to be very straight-laced at first. Making guy friends here can be tough overall so just go for the gals...not to mention lot of the ones I met were straight up cavemen with no charisma in a way that would drag down your efforts.

Vienna - Cool locals for most part...just go straight for the chicks.

Poznan/Wroclaw - Ditto like Vienna. I remember some minor cockblocking attempts in Wroclaw..though harmless not to mention some guys tried winging me out to local women in Cherry Club (not successfully though). A good place to have foreign wingmen who get it minus the British Stag party types.

Curitiba - I'll give Curitibanos credit in that they didn't cockblock me like Paulistanos...but people here are a bit reserved not to mention the dudes are very socially awkward. It helps to know guys in advance before coming here, but it's not going to hurt your night gaming as one should head straight for gals. Daygame is rough here though a guy with good game & Portuguese can do damage in the bars.

Santorini, Greece - I wouldn't recommend investing in guy friends if wanting to game the foreign women here. Can be some intense competition...however for the local women.....

Good Places for Gaining Wingmen on the Fly

Santorini, Greece - I would recommend befriending Greek dudes if they're hooked up with local chicks. The Greek women there can be stunning as they'll be more open-minded about guys introduced to them through other locals whether guys/gals.

Belo Horizonte/Porto Alegre - Befriending local guys is essential here as they will introduce you to their social circles. Not only that..but they'll teach a thing or two about hollering at random women while going through the motions with you.

Madrid - Befriending local dudes can earn trust of local women...absolutely essentially to have Spanish down here as is Portuguese in Brazilian settings.

Wroclaw - On the other hand, good to game here with another cool foreign dude staying in the city.

I would add Calgary and Montréal to that first list. The guys in those places were more competitive and never really helped with girls. Good conversation but that was it.

I've noticed a correlation between the friendliness of local dudes with how poor or how much of a shithole the place is. People assume poorer places are more dangerous which is sometimes true, but with poorness comes generally friendly people, both local dudes and the females.

Were your Colombian wings doing cold approaches or just introducing you to women that they already knew?
I have yet to find a Colombian guy that was any good at doing cold approaches. However I have had a couple of wings that were women that were great over the years.

There might be a correlation but many rich countries in Western Europe have very friendly people.

Anyway, I do like to have a wing or two around but I restrict myself to people who I'm sure have enough self-awareness and social intelligence not to fuck up my nights and don't actually rely on them too much when I'm in set.

I find it useful to strike a balance whereby I'll have my wings for social proof, but be able to go it alone for the majority of the time I'm actually in a bar or club. That way I can work my magic without interference but let the woman I'm with know that I've got social connections around.

On the issue of where cockblockers are a problem, I've found that, generally speaking, if you can be identified as an outsider and you're in a socially conservative country, you're likely to encounter more problems. As a European in socially conservative East Asian countries like Korea, some (particularly older) guys can be a bit of a pain.

I know a lot of people seem to disagree, but I've found that the right wingwoman can be a huge help. God knows how many times having a wingwoman has helped me give a good first impression.

I have yet to find a Colombian guy that was any good at doing cold approaches. However I have had a couple of wings that were women that were great over the years.

They were introducing me to girls they already knew. I haven't seen many Colombian guys do cold approaches. Their game seems mostly social circle game.

Two things you should never do:

1. Talk trash about another guy to make yourself look better. It vibes of low class.

2. Compete with other guys over a girl. This is what girls want because it drives up the price of pussy
... aka it inflates her ego and nobody gets laid.

Just find a way to connect with her even if it's for a minute. Then pull away and work some other girls
in the room. It's not always about the SNL. What you're doing is planting the seed and letting the other
guys water it for you Eventually she'll get bored of all the choads kissing her ass and find you
so she can try to get your attention.

I agree that people in rich countries tend to be happier and warmer/friendlier, not cold and bitter. In very poor countries, the kind of friendless was more of these guys wanting to form a connection with a foreigner, looking at me almost like I was an opportunity. A couple times now, I've asked a random dude for directions, he would physically take me where I need to go, and then ask to hangout again later.
