Do you mean "colder months" or "cold months"? Have you ever experienced -20 centigrade? I do not think cold weather is good for gaming.

-20C is regular Winter weather in St. Petersburg, and it's humid like Anchorage. People here go about their normal life at that temperature... so what's the problem with -20C?

In the West girls has been brainwashed by all kinds of animal rights to wear synthetic materials instead of fur. When Russian,Japanese and Korean women visit Helsinki these animal activists has some time attacked them with spray paint just to destroy their coats.

I grew up in a area that has a big furfarming industry. In good years farmers earn big bucks and everything goes on export. ( Russia,China,Japan,Korea)

Last winter even fur activists came all the way from Germany just in try to let out foxes and minks.

I love winter game. In fact I prefer it to the summer game, although I really hate winter climate. As mentioned above, during the winter months you can wear better outfits and really stand out from the crowd. Besides, typically girls are not being approached much on the streets in the winter, so it makes your chances a little bit higher. Winter day game (maybe more accurate term for this would be "winter darkness game") is easier for me because on a cold wintry day I can approach a girls and ask her where I can drink some coffee/tea/alcohol to get warm since I'm not familiar to this area/city/country and then I would invite her to drink a cup of coffee and get warm. Plus, girls are more receptive to the long conversations in the fall or winter than during the warm months of the year.

It totally depends where you are. I have dealt with two separate cold weather climates, one in Upper New England and the other in Finland. I admit that urban and suburban planning totally sucks in the Northeast when it comes to the cold, and that the Finns have it right. In winter in America, everyone gets so depressed because they have nothing to do. In winter in Finland, they have sauna tradition, skiing paths everywhere, ice hockey, and buses come way more often as to get you where you need to go.

Everything is also clustered around the city center, and there are indoor malls. Everyone also drinks a shit ton of coffee to keep warm. Also what I've noticed in Finland was that no one really complains about the winter, just about November. (I agree with Chaos, November truly sucks)

As for night game, NONE of the clubs/bars in America had much of a coat room, and it was even frowned upon to bring a coat out as you might lose it.

On the other hand, everyone wasn't retarded in Finland and wore heavy jackets out whenever it was sub-zero to the clubs. The coat room girls were polite and it was relatively cheap (2 Euro). Everyone goes and drinks in the winter just because it keeps them warm, rather than staying in and watching Netflix like most American girls.

Once again, it's all about suitability of your surroundings to the climate.

Me and a friend once went to Amsterdam

We were the ONLY two people in the club who didn't arrive in a coat (we're British)

Britain doesn't facilitate cold weather game (despite having SHIT weather). Winter in Britain truly sucks. Going out in a coat is seen as sheer madness. In November you wear a shirt out and you freeze your arse off. It's the done thing.

Dutch people are prepared. Winter in the Netherlands is bearable. (Same with Switzerland when I visited). Legs won't shut just because it's cold out.

Another similar analogy: Rain

In Taipei, it pisses down all the fucking time. However, when it rains, everyone grabs their umbrella and carries on as if nothing is happening. People still go out as usual. People still shop as usual and people still bang as usual. In fact, the Ximen area is actually quite beautiful due to the amount of colourful umbrellas.

In Britain (even Bangkok to some degree) people stay in, stick the TV on and shut their legs.

So yes, it does depend on the country's ability to handle the climate.

I live in a place with relatively warm winters, with daily high's around 13-15C (mid 50's F) but the winters have very low sunshine hours. It drops as low as 108 mean hours in the coldest month (vs. 142 in Boston) but it's still a lot better than Northern Europe... Despite the mildness of the temperature, winter blues is still a very real thing here. I have a strong hunch that low amounts of sunshine is the main culprit behind winter downturns, at least in places where snow isn't an issue. Bleak, grey skies are bad for the soul.
