How old are you? I wouldn't suggest taking any unfamiliar drug your very first time in a venue like EDM.

I took my first hit of acid at a huge rave in the late 90s, but I've got wits of steel.

'big' and 'rave' are pretty much mutually exclusive. I think you should find something a bit smaller, like just an event in a club, for a friendlier atmosphere with a better crowd and more conducive to MDMA

MDMA is nowhere near as set dependent as acid, and it is very unlikely you will have a bad time with it taking it for the first time at a concert, unless you take an idiotic amount.

Many users report a period of depression and/or anxiety for a few days following MDMA use, typically after large binges. Others report an 'afterglow'. In my experience and friends' experiences, the comedowns get worse the more you use it.

In terms of what to expect:
- euphoria much more powerful than anything you've experienced if you've never ventured past alcohol/weed
- energy, but not the obnoxious amphetamine kind. You can still relax on a couch
- music will sound better, more holistic and be more compelling. You'll feel possessed to dance
- feelings of being at peace and without worry
- feeling like everyone around you is great, and you may become extremely talkative, with little to no fear of social rejection
- pleasant bodily sensations - all your senses are enhanced so that pleasant smells and sights, and touch, feel a lot better than they do sober


Regarding repressed memories, MDMA will put you at ease enough that you can have conversations with people that otherwise may have been difficult for you. It can remove anxiety and fear that comes from remembering or talking about traumatic events in your past. I don't really know if it would actually 'unseat' them unprompted though.

As long as your molly is clean, you pretty much can't not enjoy it. It triggers your happy chemicals.

Start researching rave events in your area. Large ones are concerts or festivals, they're awesome... but raves are typically smaller and in less publicized locations. Pick whichever experience appeals to you most. Oh, and go with a good friend, either setup can be unpredictable and backup never hurts... plus you'll want someone to hash out your experience with afterwards.

Was heavily involved in that culture when I was younger and did ungodly amounts of every substance that entails.
Cleaned up, but still dabble in molly for special occasions.

Foe rave culture? Research PLUR. There's bound to be a community online for this.

A large event will be fun, but so will a small one.
Do whatever appeals to you most.

Molly isn't too hard on your psyche, so no worries man... stay hydrated and have fun.

Tomorrowland tickets for this year were notoriously difficult to get. I live in Belgium and they were available here 1 week prior to the global release. I had 3 devices ready on the buy link the moment they went on sale and still never managed to get any.

I tried molly for the first time one night at a music festival, seeing MGMT play on it was something else... That would've been a 10/10 night if I hadn't failed to fuck the girl I met. You're in for a good time. No it won't screw up your head. It's a bit odd doing MDMA if you haven't at least smoked weed before but it shouldn't be a big deal. Just don't forget to drink a lot of water and have some lollipops on you so you don't grind your teeth.

Jesus, you aren't kidding about having wits of steel. I've only ever tried acid alone in my room and even that's a super intense experience.

Been using it since the early 90's.

Be with a social circle you feel safe with & commit to the experience. Then evaluate afterwards. Everyone remembers their first pill.

Most love it, some don't. Each to their own.

The propaganda surrounding ex doesn't add up. Why would a manufacturer make something purposefully dodgy? Their supply chain & customer base won't coming looking? Let alone the cops?

If your worried about quality, get it through someone you trust who has experience & as I said before...

COMMIT to the experience.

PS. Enjoy. The first time sets the standard. I've many times wished I could go back to that night.

Make sure you get your drugs from a credible source, and if you can, test it yourself (edit: I mean with one of.several chemical test kits available online)

When I first rolled a couple years ago, the MDMA was easy for me to find. Then it wasn't. Most things sold as molly are not, from methylone to amps to other research chems. And coming off bad drugs sucks.

I have a test kit that I have let many friends use, and these days, most times what is in front of us... well, lets say they're not the droids we're looking for. When they are the droids we're looking for, they usually came directly from overseas, not from some guy who "got them" from overseas.

Drink lots of water. If things get intense, sit down and remind yourself you're on drugs.

Go to Ibiza in the summer time, find a big trance event at one of the mega clubs (such as an Armin Van Buuren show), take X. A good progressive house show would suffice too. See if any Anjunadeep DJ's will be there. Thank me later. Ibiza is probably my favorite place in the world. I doubt i'll take X anywhere other than Ibiza from now on. Nothing else can really match the experience there. You really have to experience those parties for yourself to properly understand. (These parties are better if you're into electronic music/drugs than if you're looking to get laid).

I um, have tried MDMA before as well as a slew of other psychedelics. You wouldn't know from my appearance that i'm a semi well traveled psychonaut.

Anywho, I seriously doubt the purity of most MDMA especially with what you get at a music festival or rave. When I was in college, I tried molly a ton of different times and each time the effect was different. One time, I ended up having super confidence and legit felt like Don Draper. I pushed some girls out of my way at the club and no one batted an eye. Super confidence, was very strange. I did some research later on and I personally believe what I took was MDMA cut with Meth. I've never felt more confident in my life.

I had a chemist friend who actually brewed up some pure MDMA for me. I trust him and his academic credentials to know what he is doing. When I did tried it, the effects were surprisingly underwhelming. I just had a big heart and wanted to hug everyone. I felt mentally exhausted the next day exactly how I would feel after taking a lot of tests for hours on hours.

OP, one time won't hurt you, but try and keep your psychonautic adventures to a best once a year. Psychedelics can really change how you view reality, the world, and your own consciousness.

I can support the above poster- most of the time your molly will be composed of dubious substances.

For purity, I generally recommend shrooms, the only issue is the dosage is inherently difficult to control and in no way do I recommend it for first timers. However, if you do it in small doses it can act as a mild psychedelic and stimulant, and it can be stacked with other stimulants (in measured amounts).

but to be honest, alcohol is the easiest way to enjoy a festival, and I'd supplement with either a legal or illegal stimulant just to help you stay up all night to enjoy everything

I don't like EDM, electronica, techno, or whatever the fuck you want to call it, but during one of my 2 weeks off hitches, out of boredom I went to Flux Pavillion with a friend and it was fun as fuck.

Most of the girls were 16-21 and wore little more than neon underwear. I'm not sure there were hardly any women over 24 even there. Basically everyone was passing around drugs it was awesome. Most of the kids were too young to even drink.

I think that type of music is terrible but if youre looking for teenage girls EDM concerts are the best place for sure. Probably the best female/male ratios youll find in any public venue. Factor in the girls are high, drunk and wearing slutty clothes....its a great atmosphere.

I haven't done pills/mdma for over ten years after a bad trip made me never want to touch them again.

Anyway, my favourite MDMA experiences were in a hot swimming pool at night with my pals, bucketfuls of alcohol and some girls.

I wouldn't want to be taking any new drug in an unfamiliar location, especially not a dance club.

I sure do miss the rave scene. I was a heavy hitter back in my early twenties. Now, late twenties, I'm not sure I'd feel right being at many of them. I'd consider one with an age limit (18+), and avoid the ones with younger girls for obvious reasons.

I'm not condoning illicit substances. I'll just report my experiences. The molly and pills I may or may not have taken may or may not have been cut with meth, and given me super-man confidence. Approach anxiety- poof! Any and all "glass walls" that you and others put up are just shattered (partly because other people are on something too).

But it is a double-edged sword. It is much harder to get an erection. The more you take, the harder it is. So you might not even want to try for ONS, because it is likely you wouldn't be able to hold up your end of the deal. Though of course I've gone on many dates, even banged, girls I've met at raves at a later date, the vast majority of the time you will just be a very hazy, blurry memory from fantasy-land (as most of them were for me). I'd actually take notes- names and some things i remember about them, on my phone so that I remembered which numbers in my phone were new, and whose they were. It is a good idea to take pictures with girls at raves, if you spend enough time with them, to help both of you remember each other.

The flip side is that a small amount enables you to keep going forever.

I used to keep a small amount of MDMA powder on me and some rizzlas.

When I was about to bang a girl and wanted a long, drawn out performance I'd put a small amount inside a rizzla and swallow it.

Having said this, I can't remember whole years from my early twenties due to Coke/Weed/Pills so take that as you will

Good to know i'm not the only one who had a similar experience. I remember a woman at the club looking at me and just being drawn to me. I asked her what she was doing that night and she looked at me and said, "Hopefully you ".

No wonder the midwest is filled with meth heads.
