As a guy who has spent time in Western Europe(not as sure about East as I've only spent time with family over there) no it's always a plus and I'm tall as well as skinny. The most likely issue is that if you are lanky you have a posture issue, your sense of dress is whack as fuck, or you have game issues.

one of the stupidest excuses i've ever heard. 6'5' will put you in one of 3 tallest guys in the nightclub while not being freaky tall. This is a disadvantage?

I'm bumping this simply for this post. As a tall guy (6'5'') all the bitches talk to my chest and expect me to hear. It's obnoxious. I usually lower my ear, hadn't thought of using it as an excuse for contact, pulling them closer, and then keeping a firm grip. That's excellent advice. I've done variations, but never quite like that.

I'm 6'1" which isn't nearly as tall as you but I still have the same problem. I like to pull them in and touch the small of their back. That spot is very sexual but in a subtle way.
