The title may sound somewhat off, but I have had several situations where I can tell she is interested in me, but wants to hear more game before she agrees to see me. And when I open my mouth, I systematically destroy all and any interest in me she ever had. I've done this ok, many times, and doing the same thing to a girl currently.
The only similarity with all girls is that they are someone I meet on a semi-regular basis--social circle, work, etc.
If anybody here had a similar experience, I'm all ears.
I suspect that this has something to do (at least in part) with the elusive and mysterious "vibe". I read the chapter on that in Bang, and Roosh may as well have been speaking in tongues. The concept was completely alien to me. Made no sense whatsoever.

I'm no expert but maybe "less is more" could be something that you might want to try here.

If you see them on a regular basis try to hit her with a few witty/fun lines and or negs and then abort and make yourself busy or move elsewhere.

Then randomly hit her with "You should come grab a coffee/froyo/drink with me"

What is it with you newbies and your lack of ability to describe a situation?

- where are you (in a city, in a suburb, in America, in Europe, in Eastern Europe, in Asia)
- how old are you
- how old is she
- how did you meet
- where are you having these interactions
- what are you saying EXACTLY
- how is she reacting, verbally and non-verbally

If you don't develop your eye and your mind for details, you'll never get good at this.

It's pretty simple, I've done it few times. Inflict yourself some 3rd degree burns on your palm in the shape of swastika, then make sure they are visible to her. Also, it helps if you're black or Jewish. She'll ask what happened and tell her you rescued a black newborn that was about to be sacrificed by a gang of ninja skinheads with burning swastika shurikens. That's because the moment you realize a girl is interested in you, you realize / become aware / self-conscious of it, and change your behavior for the worse. Yes, I used to have the same issue when girls gave me clear IOI's and my heart would sink, thinking "oh, shit, she's interested in me.." and i felt like i had to go james-bond on her.

Sadly, i don't know how i pulled myself out of it, other than shifting my perspective that if she's interested in me, then i've already done my job and it should relax me (rather than make myself try to reach an even higher level), and let her continue to impress me over the next hour (or week). This process can be actualized through lots of cold approach pickup. Hope that wasn't too abstract for you..

Just stop caring about how interested she is. That worked for me. I often noticed when I was talking to girls and got them interested, I would open up too much, talk too much or something else and they would just lose interest or I would just kill the vibe and be completely unaware. My problem was always that I was way too eager to treat them as somebody I really knew or could get along with. My mistake for acting like the game was over and the deal was sealed. So I stopped caring about how interested they were and stopped thinking this was a sign that I could let all game go and just open up.

That's because there have been multiple instances of this happening.

The current situation:
I'm in LA for an extended visit of my family after a contract in the Afghan land. I'm staying at their place.
I'm 38, Russian Jew, thin, look a lot younger than my age.
I've known the family for well over a decade, they've damn near adopted me. They're Salvadorian.
She is the daughter of my friend, I basically watched her grow up.
She just turned 18, and all of a sudden her mother wants me to get with her, I get attention from the girl when there wasn't before. None of this is overt, they are quite sneaky with it in a very womanly way. My friend got me to help the daughter with setting up a website for her, and that was really to change phone numbers. After that she was very friendly, wanted hugs, "now that you have my number..." etc. while I tried to be as cool as I could so I would not appear needy, though when I asked what she was doing she replied she was going with her friends.
So, I think she needs me to do more talking for her to like me in a sexual way for her to go out with me. And I have no idea as to how to go about it. In general, I tend to be a recluse, and I prefer to listen than to talk. I'm socially awkward, I don't know how to get women to talk about themselves, and I clam up in their presence.

In other situations at work, I would get massive eye contact, they could tell I liked them, but because of work environment I would do nothing. Invariably they would make jokes at my expense because of my inaction. The last one, I actually tried to talk to her, using some stuff from here, but could not get her to spend time with me in private, so I ejected. She was a manager, and would completely disregard my opinion because of my failure with her. She would chuckle when she would overhear someone asking me for my help.

*scratching head* um... no? I didn't think that's what I asked...

The entire premise of the thread was that if I had enough game and knew what to do, I could get with all of these chicks, or at the very least keep them from disrespecting me when I failed. The question is how do I avoid destroying their initial interest in me to the point of disrespect.

I said above, the interest was there, but when I would talk to them I would never be able to get them on a date even though they were interested, and her interest would invariably vanish.

Post audio. Then someone could have a clue as to wear you're going wrong. If you don't post audio you would be asking people to guess the impossible. You have stated that you 'systematically destroy all and any interest". Then you are aware that you are doing something wrong, systematically. So, stop the behavior. Watch yourself, catch yourself when you are systematically destroying the interest, and make yourself stop it.
