Interesting. So he was using Jedi Mind Tricks game. Does he have a community of devotees that swears by his methods? I'm inclined to think he's a snake oil salesman or why would he have faded into irrelevance while guys like Tyler, David DeAngelo and Mystery became wealthy.

My understanding is that Ross Jeffries' game was basically a variant of applied Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

I don't know much about NLP, nor have I tried it, and I seriously question his supposed success using it.

Opinions may vary, but I feel as though there are good parts of it. There are valid concepts and parts that do work. Things like "going first" and "pattern interrupts" are good. I'm not so sure about other things like anchoring.

I believe there are a number of guys who do. I know little about him, but I'd say that he fell into obscurity because his material seems rather complex. Also, I'm not sure exactly how well hypnosis would work when you're trying to talk to an entire group of people, as opposed to just one woman.

I think there is more into his stuff than it seems - some is pretty advanced. He is doing some deep stuff like using hypnosis, hypnotic words & stories, NLP word charging like you mentioned. I met a hypnotist once and he said that he uses his ability sometimes in bars with some girls.

I just started looking into it by buying some of his material. He is certainly on a different level than the rest moving into areas where most PUAs might be in a few years.

Krauser is expanding the knowledge too currently with the r-selection focus as well as going into things like vocal patterns used in seduction.

For most lays it is likely not necessary, but on the other hand - there is always another step in mastery of a field. Most guys are content to reach a certain level and then cruise on from there (since they get sex with consistency). But what happens as you age and cannot induce the same level of initial attraction in a 18-year-old at the age of 55? Or you wish to raise the quality of the girls? Additional seduction abilities might be quite helpful - I think that is what Ross is doing with some of his stuff as he is an older guy, but wants to enjoy the same spoils. But I gotta study most of his stuff to be sure.

If you needed more proof that women DESPISE weak, whiny men, this is it. I was really impressed with Ross, and the women actually didn't hate him, at all. Apart from that ghetto one at the end.

I've no doubt if some of them saw him after the show they would have been speaking to him, even if just to ask him stuff.

He's got a TV camera crew following him, so that's got to help him. Especially since it involves hypnosis, or at least suggestion. People feel the pressure to play along.

I think the clearest difference between the MRA and PUA (i.e. the player) is that the PUA doesn't care, whereas the MRA does.

They are not really for gender equality - Angry Harry has it even as a main tag on his homepage: "Gender Equality Is Not Achievable - Ever". Their research on some gender issues is quite useful. I don't think that MRAs like AngryHarry or JudgyBitch are against traditional gender role models as portrayed in the ROK article by Goldstein.

But apart from that they are not really into Game very much if at all and they truly believe that they can change things. Money and power-wise they are like a beetle against a bull since the feminist doctrine of the effeminate male gets the full support of media, academia, politics, corporations, banks plus the inherent feminine imperative which always strived to be shrouded under the "feminine mystique".

Most of us here focus on improving ourselves, have some fun and be more well-rounded men without much hope that we can actually change the system. Oh - and we know we need Game regardless whether in a LTR or for a ONS.

That looked staged to me. Though I do think he has a good speaking voice to women that sounds assured and commanding yet calming. That alone could make a major difference. But all this highly technical bullshit, I'm not buying it.

PUA's and MRA's are opposite sides of the same coin. The main difference I noticed is the reactions to the hamster. Dude in the dress (brilliant bit of trolling) was visibly upset when the hamsters came to pull a Luis Suarez his ego. Ross, on the other hand, just smirked. If MRA's want to get anywhere, they need to learn to stop arguing with women. You can't tell women what to do, you need to lead by example.

Bruce fucking Weinstein. That's the original genital wet wipe right there. If this guy had choked on a cocktail pin back in the early 90s the male feminist movement would likely have been set back several years. He was one of the first male scholars giving lecture in "the mummified halls of academia" (to use Ross' term) about male privilege.

I met Ross back in 2008. He had a Swedish girl friend who was in her 20's. For a 50+ guy, having a girl friend that age is success.
