Sorry if some of this overlaps with what has been written before. This is because I read all the sheets on the forum before heading out.
I will start out by saying that my experience was most similar to Roosh's writings and also Rudebwoy's, who I believe visited about five years ago. I didn't have similiar experiences to Spalex, who wrote a (admittedly hilarious) sheet
here and which I found unfair to the Norwegians.
Roosh's posts on Norway are
here,
here and,
here
I found everything that Roosh said was true. Though what he wrote was unpolitically correct if you go to Oslo you will see why he wrote it and why it was to mention the points he did in such detail, which I will discuss myself. You cannot go to Oslo without understanding them.
Overview
Oslo is not a particularly nice city, it is very expensive and the bars and restaurants are not great. However the people are very friendly, innocent and kind. The women are incredibly beautiful, however the rape wave touched on by Roosh makes things extremely difficult for game, and seems to have affected things since he visited in 2012. If you are considering visiting I suggest you read through all his posts on Return of Kings, they are not the sort of things a guide book would mention but are essential reading.
Food
Very expensive, poor quality generally. Service is not great and generally slow. I would suggest eating at McDonalds or in supermarkets as you will not be able to afford to eat out unless you are willing to spend say $150 on a meal for two without drinks.
Transport
Great. Buses, trams and a subway system that is efficient and well-run. No need to rent a car.
The locals/competition
Norwegian people are very nice people. I actually felt bad from them when I got there and saw how naive they will appear to foreigners. Their subway system doesn't require turnstiles, they have no caution for potential criminals (i.e they don't show the 'guard' that people in NY, London, Paris etc, have) and they are very helpful.
There is a reason why they top the human development index. They have a compassionate society in which they have well-invested their oil money and they are very well-educated compared to other countries, i.e. they are able to discuss philosophy, politics, etc regardless of their level of education or social background.
They are a very reasonable people who do not exhibit extreme views that Roosh described in Denmark (which I have never been to) and I actually liked their Janteloven as it dissuades people from being excessively flashy or boastful. They are very rich and it shows, most white Norwegians have a lifestyle other westerners can only dream of. Big house, nice cars, frequent holidays, etc.
They are heavily into fitness, nature and travelling, so I got on extremely well with them.
I thought very highly of the Norwegians and while there are some things I find disagreeable about their society they are truly some of the friendlier people you could meet. You will never worry about being ripped off, conned, etc and they rarely engage in violence even when drunk, although they are a bit boisterous.
It's no exaggeration to say they have created a neo-utopia and I have great respect for them and their nation. They are very humble and somewhat shy.
The women
The women in Norway are, it is no exaggeration to say - some of the best-looking women you will ever see. A woman who is considered a 4 in Norway would be considered a 7 in the anglosphere.
While you don't see 'heavy' dating down in Norway the women are generally more attractive than the men. You will see a guy with mediocre clothing and poor social skills and bad skin with a woman that would be at least a 6 or 7 in the USA/UK. In those nations they would be incels. I was often stunned at some of the couplings as it is a country where a guy with decent looks and a reasonable personality with have a stunning girlfriend. Even ugly guys get women far better-looking then they would elsewhere. No wonder Norwegians are the happiest in the world! Even the women in their 30s and 40s were very attractive and a Norwegian man can't imagine a society where the women are not all beautiful, feminine and in shape! I can't imagine how they would taking living in the USA/UK. They are however well dressed and go to the gym (this is not Russia) but despite this the women almost always date down significantly from an Anglo pov. (From their pov all Anglo men date down significantly of course. I suspect they are right and we are wrong)
If you have game and are reasonably looking you should not struggle. Wierdly though many of the men are very good-looking this will not work against you. The standard of beauty there is so high that a woman considered a 6 in Norway would be a 9 in the UK/USA. I am not exaggerating when I say that Scarlett Johannson would only be considered 'above average' in Norway.
The beta/alpha thing is interesting. Unlike the alpha fucks/beta bucks model of feminism and gender relations in the USA/UK where you have to act super alpha and be jacked to get laid, in Norway the women generally have alot of time for what we would see as betas. This means men have to act less aggressive to get laid and makes the males as a whole less aggressive and into being jacked Jersey Shore types as it won't appeal to the females. Their socialism model extends to giving beta males the time of day and it results in a harmonious society. We always take the piss out of women that teach their sons to be beta and kind to women but in Norway it seems the women have collectively decided to make sure such men get laid so they can continue to have their high standard of living. I don't know.
They dress well, go to the gym regularly and are actually sweet and feminine (compared to the anglosphere, not a Thai). Complaining about Norwegian women if you are from the Anglosphere is like a homeless guy complaining that the $50,000 you gave him wasn't in suitable denominations. They generally have children in their late twenties and the country has the highest birthrate of any western nation, almost everyone has kids and many have very big families!
The problem
Roosh mentioned it in his posts but it is worth mentioning again - the rape wave. Oslo has an extremely high crime rate for a western country, and most of it is unreported.
The city had a wave of rape after rape after rape in the last few years. It is a tiny city of 600,000 in which one violent rape would be shocking, and yet a series of violent rapes have traumatised the society. It must be said that the men carrying them out are almost all Muslims from Somalia, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The problem is so bad that the hotels in Oslo - WARN WOMEN THAT THEY MIGHT BE RAPED - and actually give them rape alarms when they go out (The Radisson Scandinavia started doing that last year). This is no bullshit , these are violent rapes where the women are attacked and violently assaulted and then gang-raped.
To understand the context you have to understand that Norwegian women dress very sexily, often dressing half-naked in the summer with booty shorts and bras. Norwegian men are told not to leer at women, to take care of them when are drunk, that women can dress however they want and that they should not be judged. These are all highly laudable goals. The women are also told they can have sex with whoever they want (which they of course can)
However the problem is that men from Somalia and Pakistan are certainly not taught this and when the two cultures clash it ends in disaster. They are told that women that show their bodies are whores that shame their families and that sex outside of marriage is a disgrace. Norwegian women (used to, not anymore) will go out and get drunk wearing whatever they want and the men - who are mainly sexually frustrated (this is a country which comes down very hard on prostitution, the fine is something like $40,000) - then take their chance to attack the women. During the day you can also see Arabic and Pakistani men stare and make comments to women on the main street (Karl Johans gate).
This has had a massive effect on society and how women behave. Teenage girls no longer go out without their parents or in groups of friends. Women often won't go out shopping without their friends or males. And at nighttime they will only go out with big groups or with males with them. Greek Kamaki once wrote that countries that have been affected by Islamic people become very conservative in order to protect their women. This seems to have happened very quickly in Norway - and speeded up even since Roosh visited.
What this means is that day game is difficult as women there are used to the Muslim men harassing them and not used to 'game'. However when you do day game it can work very well as they are generally not used to day approaches and they are very polite even if they are not interested. God help you if you look middle eastern or south asian, it will be more tricky and you will probably need to emphasise you are not Muslim (just being honest here)
At nighttime men now furiously guard their women due to the rape problem, and women will rarely go out without males protecting them, something I am sure did not happen ten years ago. Norwegian males are no pussies and society has changed very quickly. You will need some social circle game to make it work as they have changed very quickly as a society to one in which men protect their women from foreigners if you look the wrong way. As much as we slag off feminism, the wave seemed to have made both men and women more nationalistic, and made women more 'loyal' to their men.
The ones seen in this way are south asians and Middle Easterners and East Africans. If you look northern European or W African you should be fine, however the super-cautious vibe is there and women now assume if they don't know you that you may be a rapist.
This is not an unreasonable assumption given what has happened in Oslo but be aware that whatever people officially say, Oslo is moving towards a 'culture of honour' that will soon resemble the Balkans as angry Norwegian men protect their women. You will think I am trolling but I'm not, Norwegian men are seriously pissed at what has happened and it is truly a disgrace how the women have been treated by the newcomers from Somalia, Pakistan, etc.
An 'aggressive beta' game (described by Roosh in Bang Denmark )would work the best. This is all very odd but not surprising from a historical or psychological perspective.
Clubs
Lawo - near Karl Johans street. Very busy and probably the best choice if I had to suggest one
Hard Rock Cafe - avoid, full of old people
Ayers Brugge - an area full of bars by the port. Very nice, and so dress up and look the part (preppy)
Grunerlookka - the hipster area. The data sheets said it was the place to be but the fact it is in a dangerous area seems to have made it less popular with women. There is a club Bla which plays salsa and hip hop and loads of hipster ones. If you have more of a hipster/alternative look I would try here.
Conclusion
Norway is a great place and the people are fantastic. However their experiment in multiculturalism has produced a city with an extremely high rape rate, which has a terrible affect on the social dynamics and makes it very hard for outsiders looking to get laid.
The fact that there is a great hostility to foreigners - due to their poor experience with immigration - may make it far more difficult than it was as little as three or four years ago. I would suggest day game, building a social circle through befriending local dudes or Tinder.
This is not as easy a place as it probably once was and the tragic ending of Oslo - a feminist country that now has created a society that is so unsafe for women - is something that is extremely sad. I have read other reports on here saying that a similiar thing in Paris and Brussels has had a similiar effect and made social circle game the primary means of gaming.
While you can still get laid in Oslo, the super-protective environment around women that has had to develop may make it feel more like trying to game in a war zone than a country that tops the human development index.
