Cause they can. They have been posting ugly pics of themselves on social media all their life and guys still like it and comment on how hot they are. At this point they don't even know any better they just know that no matter what they post there will be a gang of guys ready to approve of it.

It has happened to me 3 times. My dicks wants their body to be better because they dress flattering. No more of that. If they don't wear any body shape revealing clothing I assume what's underneath is busted.

you are right, this was an oversight on my part. I am lucky to have only been SIFed once. the girl looked "curvy" in her photos (which I'm fine with) but in person she had an odd bulge in her stomach region, almost as if she was a few months pregnant. after that one I had to quit online dating for awhile.

I've met a few girls who looked much better in person than their photos. I guess this just further proves the point that girls suck at choosing photos.

in a way this feels like a microcosm of the philosophical differences that we frequently complain about. men look to present themselves at their best (self improvement), women look to present themselves in whatever way they feel like (no need for self improvement, because they are "fine the way they are").

There's some serious overanalysis in this thread. It's simply lack of incentive. On dating sites (for ages <35), men are the chasers and women are the choosers. A girl never feels the need to correct weaknesses in her profile because she's overwhelmed with attention no matter what she does.

It's the same principle that explains why employers offering entry level jobs to liberal arts majors aren't out advertising how great it is to work for their company. Or why you don't try to convince a telemarketer what a great, loyal customer you could be.

I've become fairly convinced girls have no idea whether or not they look attractive. I think their measure of physical beauty- might come from how many men they've slept with so altering their 'look' might not be necessary. This includes just posting pictures of them looking drunk/smashed, shoving cake in their mouths etc.

Almost everything girls post on their dating profile is just... unattractive.
-Their job
-Their independence
-Their humour
-Their education
- "I am a feminist"
- "I have two kids"

I always figured it's because women are absolutely clueless about how men see them. They might think the picture is cute, while most of us find it revolting. That and few women are genuinely corrected about any behavior, so they assume it's OK. And their beta orbiters reinforce the behavior.

Some good theories on this thread, but have you ever checked out your competition? Many men's photos are terrible too. The unsmiling axe murderer look and basement-taken webcam pics abound, along with goofy stuff of all kinds.

Most people don't make much effort and don't have a sense of what is not effective and how it can be optimised.

I think one reason women post crap pictures is because they ask other women which photos to post! I know this attractive woman. Broke up w/ a guy so went on match. Posted CRAP photos - from 500 feet away, or not showing full body (she's fit!!), etc. All the girls in the group were like "Oh yeah, these show you doing fun things, guys will like that". And I said "You're not thinking like a guy. Guy's are VISUAL - they want a close up of you, and they want one full - body shot to demonstrate that you're not fat. You're cute and fit so these should be NO PROBLEM!". Yet the girl wouldn't do it. Too shy or maybe one of the myriad reasons posted above. Basically, it all comes down to wanting to fail. Which she did: She got just a handful of messages. As you guys know, cute women usually get HUNDREDS of messages a week on snatch.com and other dating sites. She totally fucked herself.

My other pet peeve, in addition to the ones above, are when a girl is decent looking, good enough that you'd ask her out...and then she posts photos with her MUCH hotter friend! And you're like "Damn - I want HER". And you don't contact the first girl. It's SO stupid! Guys are visual. Why don't women get this?? It would be like if I posed a photo with my much better looking, taller, richer, bigger-dicked friends with nicer guys and homes. DUH!! I'm not gonna shoot myself in the foot that way! Yet chicks do it all. the. time!

It's the Pareto Principle at play in the online dating market. Only 20% of the available pool of dating candidates put 80% of the effort. Most people online are shit at marketing themsleves, whether they're men or women. I also see this on LinkedIn profiles and other platforms used to burnish personal brands.

I did some detective work last week and I opened a false account at the sugar daddy website named Seeking Arrangements. I noticed that half of the girls at SA also keep active accounts at OkCupid, because they blatantly use the same images at both sites. If you guys open your own fake sugar daddy accounts you will find that being an escort for older men has become entirely normalized today. Also I figured out that none of the girls at SA respond to me at OKC because they have no desire to meet cool guys to date, they are just waiting to snag older sugar daddies using either website. I simply do not fit the mold of becoming their rich old sugar daddy provider. These sugar daddy sites lean heavily into the sugar daddies favor too because the talent is numerous and it is primarily fine, tight, young college girls and lots of them. I am in the Tampa area by the way. So, if you ask me OKC is not really even a dating website anymore, and most college girls on OKC are probably a whole lot more aware of that then most guys like us on OKC just trying to get numbers and to meet up on dates. But one thing is for sure, OkCupid girls who put up those photos flaunting their laziness and lack of concern about their appearances are not on OKC looking for sugar daddies. Those girls may be acting lazy and careless but they are probably not escorting because the escort profiles at SA are all made up to look their best to be their most alluring.
