The biggest takeaway from this thread for me are three things:

1. The men of RVF are smart mutherfuckers who have learned to question any kind of media.

2. We can have a CIVIL debate, which is unheard of on any major site or woman's site, and still be congenial with each other. Mad respect.

3. The fact that Roosh and Tuth haven't had to hand out any temp bans means this forum is growing in maturity, and I'm proud of that.

RVF is chocked full of smart men and this is just the beginning.

Yeah, watching 'infield' videos has raised my game up to the next level. Not so much because I've learned to do what the guys are doing but I've learned how to pay attention to the body language of the girls and gauge their reaction. It's been a huge help in learning when to put more time and energy into a chick (body language says yes despite an unengaged conversation) vs. when to bail (body language says no even though she's enjoying my attention).

I'm not an ugly dude, Chris is better looking than me, but some girls do find me very attractive...so I think they won't get quite as nervous as the girls in the video.

The hard part will be playing dumb and coy. Chris looked so incredibly bored in the video. I could tell he wanted to ramp up the game but was holding himself back. But I like acting--and what he was doing was an act.

Chris admitted that those videos are only for guy with a case of extreme Approach Anxiety, and I'm pretty sure you ain't part of that group. I'm not trying to hate here, but emulating this style of game on purpose to get laid is really a bad idea!

Chris even admitted somewhere in this thread that this was not even an attempt at Game, but just to get guys taking a small step and talking to girls. Since you've mentioned that you're good looking and in NYC, you'd be better off running some Daygame a la Paul Jenka or Krauser style!

Yup McCarren Park, and yes--I am experienced in daygame and am very very direct (Krauser style) so this was only for the experiment...and here are the results:

It was an interesting hour and a half.

I got to the park and was planning on approaching GLL style. But my first approach didn’t work that way. It was a cute girl walking a dog. She had no control over the dog and it was pulling her along. I said “Looks like the dog is taking you for a walk!” and she laughed and explained that it wasn’t her dog, blahblahblah. It was natural daygame, like I usually do.

After I had to tell myself “Goldmund, act like a shy nice guy…think about the GLL video”. So I put on that persona.

Next girl I went up to was sitting under a tree writing in a pad. I walked by with my head cocked, made eye contact, smiled and walked over to her. I said “Hi, I don’t normally do this but I think its great that you are writing with a pen.”

She smiled, acted all nice, we said nothing but pleasantries and had boring chat about kindles. I let her control the conversation, everything was puppies and rainbows--and it felt like a huge act. Said 'nice talking to you' and walked off.

The next girl I went up to was sitting on a towel and tapping her phone. I came up said “hi, I don’t normally do this but I think you are cute and wanted to say hello.”

She smiled said hi, introduced herself, and we had a boring talk about the world cup. Again…I was playing all nice, let her control the conversation—and it felt like a complete act. I got her number and walked away.

So my takaway is this: Chris was putting on an act in his videos. He is not a shy nice guy but was acting like one.

The girls were just playing off of his act.

That’s what females do. They cant help it. That’s why it all seems like it was staged. But if you do act like that the bitches will respond like that.

I think it’s a good way for guys who are socially anxious to get started talking to girls, but for an experienced player the shit will come off like it's just a put-on.

Also—these are American girls—who’s brains are programmed by romantic comedies and television. They are going to act like emotionally stunted retards if you let them.

Your experiment is interesting. Thanks for posting the results. Though you say you felt 'incongruent' doing this, it seems you had good success in getting them to chat and getting the numbers.

Btw, I like that you are evolving that line I came up with. Keep in mind that I said it because I wanted to plant a seed about how I was old fashioned in some ways.. This was a tactic that would allow me to transition into a discussion where I was able to unload my dhv details.

I think it's good if you can say things that have momentum that sets up the next part of the conversation so everything feels natural/organic/justified.. Girls always have their radar on for shit that seems " random" or out if place in the conversation.

Think about times you've heard girls say "that was so random" when talking about something they don't like or something that they think is suspicious or "sketchy".

I think a perfect conversation is one that propels itself.. You can figure out things to say that essentially get the same reactions from all girls. I guess you can call these "god" conversations because you are able to get the same responses from the girls as if you were vantriloquist.

It was incongruent because when I game, I don't let the girl have control and I always, always, always let them know my intention. Daygame means that I'm toned down a bit (At night, I'll say really dirty shit and let girls know I want to fuck), during the day I will say something like "You know the real reason I came over is because of how cute you are, goddamn I can't stop looking at your legs" and then start talking about the nature of attraction.
