RE: GLL's infield daygame footage is off the chain
The forum has a history of debating the authenticity of infield videos. I'm glad we can have a civil debate about this one, but it will be up to the individual member to decide if he gets value from it or not. It's impossible for us to reach a consensus.

(06-19-2014 02:08 AM)scorpion Wrote:  I think the "fakeness" feel of the video can be explained by one major factor. GLL was using what we would generally consider to be bad game. It's novice game intended for beginners, so it doesn't seem like he should be getting much traction with it, which makes it seem fake. But despite the newbie game, he's getting decent rapport from these girls. So must be fake, right?

Well, not necessarily. I would chalk this up to the fact that GLL is good looking and has physical size. Speaking as a fellow good looking guy with size, I can vouch for it giving you a lot of latitude with girls you approach right off the bat. If the looks don't intrigue her, the size will buy her temporary compliance and a little bit of fear. Most girls will go along with an approach from a guy with looks and size unless the game being spouted is truly atrocious. I'm not denying the power of game here, by any means, I'm just pointing out that size + looks is a massive advantage for cold approaching, since even girls who aren't interested usually won't have the nerve or the balls to blow you out and would rather just give up their number after chatting for a few minutes then ignore your texts.

This is just one of the many benefits lifting adds to your game: there's something deep in the female ape brain that makes her respect larger males. So simply by virtue of being bigger and stronger than most guys, she will unconsciously give you more respect, which we see in this video translating into more patience and compliance with GLL's unsophisticated beginner game. You can clearly see this in the body language of the first and the last girl in the video, who recoil a little as GLL gets near them. They are slightly threatened by him. We know small amounts of fear create attraction in women, then factor in a bonus for looks, the general deer in headlights behavior and the proclivity for women to be led by a man. So they just go along with the approach. Then also look at the girl in pink sitting on the bench, the hottest in the video (besides maybe the runner). She's clearly not feeling GLL's beginner game but still doesn't blow him out. She'd rather put up with a few minutes of awkwardness than risk angering a 200+ lb. stranger sitting right next to her. Size = fear = respect = compliance.

So I will give GLL the benefit of the doubt here and assume it's not fake. However, the flipside of the coin is that this video is basically useless as a game demonstration for most guys. A guy trying to run that same "nervous newbie" style game who was 5'7" 150 lbs. with an average face would get blown out over and over and probably get campus security called on him within half an hour.

^^^DING DING DING we have a winner!

But seriously guys who are good looking get a pass that the average guy doesn't get.

If I tried these lines I would probably would have the cops called on me

Can't wait to see more footage

"Personal improvement for aspiring douchebags..." Just that phrase alone deserves a +1...

Laugh3

Theses videos seem "plausible" to me as they seem to confirm the effectiveness of "basic douchebag game", if you even want to call it that. I was laughing really hard on some of them where he is purposely talking so slow.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

Keep me out of this bullshit. If I had a problem with you I would make that abundantly clear and not talk to Chris behind your back.

Same as if I had a problem with Chris.

My opinion is that this is a marketing game between the two of you. You both have night club game niches and that's where the animosity comes from.

As for whether the video is real or fake, well, I texted you my opinion - which is I don't know. There is no way to "know" whether these videos are fake.

However, I think it'd be stupid to fake them. Getting number is not hard. Why would Chris fake it? That's my point.

I realize things are getting heated, but I don't do passive aggressive shit man. You know that.

Also, as I texted you (and as I would say in public), the only reason I joined the discussion was:
1. To see el mech's play-by-play
2. This controversy gets Chris's video more views.

I like both your and Chris's stuff and think your beef is a misunderstanding. And there is a beef, no need to lie and say you're not hating, you guys got into it a while ago over Chris' "after party post."

I remember the "controversy" on Twitter. You two should just clear the air and come out with why you're annoyed with one another, and then maybe you can resolve it. (Or not.)

Anyhow, that is my take on what is REALLY going on.

This thread is NOT about whether the video is real. It's about deeper stuff.

^That was my point: that you're the only mutual person I know with Chris and I know that's not your style, so who the hell is it?

It's a moot point now because it's been squashed, but so that the record is clear, I never assumed it was MikeCF, that's why I said that, in an effort to call him (Chris) out and ask who then.

Nevertheless, my opinions on this thread have been exhausted and I have no more to say.

Like I stated before I have no ill-will towards GLL, wish him the best and don't see him as 'competition' because we both fulfill different niches.

Moving on.

Wait, what if GLL and I planned this to get him views?

Mindblown

Kidding.

I never marketed myself much here. I don't post a link to my site in my sig tag. How long did I wait to ever post a link to my site?

I have no problem with how you choose to market yourself here, because I'm not anti-marketing.

But if you took a poll, I bet 25-50% of guys wouldn't know I'm the same person.

Given that Chris doesn't post much at the forum, it's not surprising he didn't make the connection.

You'd be surprised at who knows whom.

I got recognized twice now in public - once while in the gym (Basil Ransom) and once at Whole Foods.

At WF, the guy saw me, met my girl...and it turns out that this random person I had never met (cool guy, thanks for saying hi) knew my girl's sister from college.

The reach of this side of the Internet is growing. More people are reading than you might imagine.

You don't put your face up, but you've met enough guys.

The world is small as fuck man.

I am sure you've met someone (or more than one person) who knows Chris.

Just putting my ideas out here. I realize McQueen already made the offer to meet up with Chris.

Still, I think it would be very cool if you and Chris met up for his more aggressive video.

You have already posted up videos and pictures revealing what you look like, so your identity is out to an extent. Also, you have talked extensively about direct game on here.

You could provide commentary on his direct game and be a "vetted member" who could vouch for him and the authenticity of his video.

It would be a great pairing because you guys have somewhat similar lines of thinking and values.

Along with this, both of you would get a shared boost in viewers from the joint effort.

This is just an idea and I am throwing it out there.

I'm not sure what the question is, but if you have some I'll answer them. Until then I'll just briefly summarise my position....

I am on the fence. It looks fake to me, but I can see how it could be legit. You deserve the benefit of the doubt through your long history of being real, so I shouldn't have accused you unless I had evidence it was fake. Which I don't have. Therefore I'm assuming it's legit unless I see real evidence otherwise.

Seriously, go watch 8:40 and then ask yourself if the camera man was 50+ yards away in the other scenes. In fact, given at how easily Chris spoke to the cameraman it made it seem like he wasn't more than a dozen steps away.

The first thing that comes to mind is that the cameraman is possibly getting audio via earbuds/phones/speaker and GLL can simply talk at a normal pitch and the cameraman can hear him fine from any position, right in his ear.

No. To me it means shit but to the guys that actually need this kinda stuff it means something.

I like the GLL and his site only because I think he's Greek and making cash. But also my inner Greek hates him for making cash without me getting any.

No my camera guy isn't 50 yards away on ANY of the interactions that he is walking (the camera shakes). Off the top of my head that is interaction 1, part of 4, 5. He's closer and walking with the camera.
We got ~9+ hours of raw footage (you guys saw 45-50minutes), but I can't expect my guy to carry the camera (although it's fairly small) around the entire time.

I said our camera guy is 50+ yards away. But that isn't EVERY interaction. It's only the interactions on the tripod (still) where I'm "working an area" or sitting on a bench (1,2 - for example) and he's setup as a sniper. If that makes sense.

this is a perfectly reasonable question you have, I have no problem addressing it.
this is something that I feel everyone (who wants to know) should have the right to know. We'll discuss the ~most frequent camera setup in the next video.

but there's different circumstances in some of interactions. For instance, #1 --- weirdo girl --- the camera guy is about 10-15 feet from me after the girl runs off.

-- how does she not see him?

a: Maybe she does. Who knows. We just shoot the stuff and post the ones with the best quality video/audio.

Guys that get into game tend to be much more analytical than your average guy from what I've noticed, since you have to develop analytical skills to dissect people's game and improve. I think the over-analysis is merited, although in the case of this video there's not much game to be dissected, considering its aimed towards newcomers.

I do this type of game everyday.

This looks like a video of my life.

I don't see anything strange.

- He uses a simple line.
- He's tall, fit, and not ugly
- He is confident
- He can hold a conversation.

That's all that is required to get a phone number from an American college girl.

In my opinion, the biggest takeaways are:

1) Approach more girls
2) Use simple lines.
3) Be as attractive as possible. (gym, fashion, diet, style, body language, nutrition, sleep, hair, clothes, etc.)
4) Be aggressive about improving your looks.
5) Be aggressive about improving your social skills.

The more pretty girls you approach, the more chances you will have to be happy in life.

I skyped with Chris for 2 hours. He asked a good question, "What could I do to prove the videos are legit?"

That's a great question I always ask during a debate. People like to move the goal posts during debates. They'll ask you 5 questions. You answer those 5 questions, and then they ask 5 more.

What evidence would change the skeptics' minds?

I told him none would. He could post the 8.5 hours of outtakes he has, and people would say that the outtakes are staged, too.

He seemed really concerned, though.

In my view, this has all been great marketing for Chris. More guys saw his video than would have otherwise. He remained calm and didn't get negative.

He has more people who like him and his stuff now than before the thread was started. I told him he should be grateful that people questioned him.
