Normally, I despise most critics, but I've never read a movie review like this before. This movie review:

1) Refers to the time after Elliot Rodger as a "two-week orgy of blame-hurling at male culture"
2) Praises masculinity, disses feminism
3) Uses alpha male as a positive term, beta male as a negative one
4) Slams foodie culture, mentions skipping the Academy Awards as pointless
5) Talks about the importance of fathers in making boys into men

Now, I totally want to see Chef.

hmmm, Jon Favreau can either swing blue pill or red pill.

Swingers was by-and-large blue pill with the main character but Vince Vaughn's character was red pill. Iron Man was pretty blue pill even if Tony Stark is alpha except when he's with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Both Scarlett Johansson and Sofia Vergara are in in. BOINGG!!!!

I'm going to try and see this movie, thanks for the tip! A lot of movies that claim to be about men are really just live action cartoons and silly caricatures of masculinity, at best skewed depictions. This looks to be otherwise, if the trailer is representative.

I saw the movie this weekend, it was very enjoyable and likable, while also being authentic and true to life.

It gets the Roosh V Forum seal of approval, because there is an Indian race* troll scene, played by Russel Peters.

*The trolling is not actually racial in nature though.

Blue Pill always wins in his movies. In Swingers the main characters finds himself a new little gf who its implied he's happy with.

In iron man, Tony Stark's life is "complete" when he finally gets Gwyneth.

He's a hollywood player. He knows how to end his movie to keep the guys in charge (and the people who go to see them) happy.

There's a nice bit of red pill in this one with RDJs character and his secretary. He doesn't go quite all the way though but it's a nice start.

It sounds like both of you have some insecurity complex where the only man worth respecting is one with a harem of women, and any man who contents himself with less is a beta pussy faggot omega white knight.

Is the man dominant in his relationships with women? Does he carry himself with self-respect, and command it from others? Is he content with what he has? If he can answer these questions with a yes, he has achieved a respectable level of self-mastery, and it's just idiotic to lob pejorative labels like blue pill or beta against him.

Actually if you recall, in Swingers, it's when he finds his balls, approaches, pulls a hottie (Heather Graham in her day) and nexts his ex gf that the movie ends... but his journey begins. I'd like to think that learning "nothing gets you over the last one like the next one" was his first lesson learned on the right path. IF there was a Swingers 2 he'd be slaying ass. But what can I say...I'm an optimist
