Esther Vilar is one of the most interesting writers on gender dynamics ever published. Roosh reviewed her first book The Manipulated Man here, and I did a series on her second book the Polygamous Sex here. In that series I wrote:

I have a copy of her third book Das Ende der Dressur (“The End of Manipulation”) in German, and am looking for someone to translate it.

This book has never been published in English before. It is about a possible solution for the problems Esther Vilar raises in her previous work. I am fascinated by her work, and believe Vilar predicted many of the problems the manosphere faces and might have solutions we have not thought of.

If someone interested, I would (work schedule permitting) scan the original German book, and upload it for translation. My intention is to release the translation for free as a public service.

The book is 183 pages in German, making it slightly longer than her previous two books. I've never attempted a project like this before, but I have a copy of the book and a strong intention. If this is something you're interested in, or can help with, let me know.

Even if you find someone who would do the translation for free, you will run into trouble with unauthorized distribution of an unauthorized translation.

What you can do however, is distribute translations of selected excerpts under fair use.

I am fluent in German btw, highly appreciate Vilar and would be interested in helping to translate excerpts.

^^^There are multiple free translations of her second book. What legal status do they fall in? Are they just illegally posted, or do they fall under something else?

Unless their distribution was authorized, they are copyright violations.

You don't need anybody's permission to translate anything you want for personal use, but as soon as you distribute your translation, it becomes a copyright violation unless authorized by whoever holds the publication right to the original work.

who in their right mind whould translate that for free?

Im actually a translator (and native German speaker) and Id charge over $9000 for a project of that size.

good luck finding someone who will spend several months on an unpaid translation job.

This is one of those areas where you get the manosphere involved to either fund the translation, or break it into chunks open source style.

Runson have you thought about learning German?

With a strong enough intention it'll probably only be a year or a year and a half for you to get to the point where you can translate her book yourself. Then all you have to do is find someone to proofread the translation, which will be a lot less expensive than a translation.

Also, you will know German, which you can use to ... get laid with German women? Ok....fail

But hey, there's a lot of great literature that you will be able to read...

If you bought it in German and scanned it, couldn't Google translate it for you? I haven't tried this obviously. You wouldn't get a perfect translation but you would probably get the essence. But like I said, I have not done something like this before. Good luck.
