Are you beta if you shave your chest? If someone goes to the gym and gets a six pack, what's the point in having it if there is a patch of hair covering it.

RE: Shaving
Alpha and Beta. Two words that get thrown around a lot and words that I don't like to use myself. But I will use them here because I think you will understand my message better.

For me, an alpha is a guy who does whatever the fuck he wants to do without giving a crap of what others think of him as long as his actions do not harm others.

You try new stuff. Make mistakes. Keep things that work. Discard things you don't need anymore. Evolve and develop your own style.

This guy shaved his chest so he must be beta!

Meaning that you should never feel you have the world by the ass. You must always be top of your game, and not slip. Tyson has put on about 80lbs to be in the obese category- I'm very disappointed in him as a boxing fan.

I agree. Bad example for a role model but I used it to illustrate that shaving/not shaving does not make you queer/bad ass as most guys believe. As I said, I don't really get this concept of Alpha. Everyone has a different definition which can be confusing for someone starting out.

Do what makes you happy, I say. If that means being Alpha by whatever definition you have, fine.

Couple of the happiest guys I met were a buddhist monk and a queer artist. If banging girls abroad makes you happy, this forum is a good source for info. Not sure about being Alpha whatever, IMO.

RE: Shaving
I have a lot of hair on my body and I have never shaved or been concerned about shaving. I got my back and my chest waxed once because my mom begged me to and she paid for it, but other than that Ive never been pressed to get rid of the hair on my body.

And Ive never really ever met a girl that had a problem with the hair on my body. My ex actually was totally indifferent and never really ever mentioned anything about it.

If you want to shave for you, then cool. But if your trying to shave because you think women will like you better or whatever.....its all in your mind.

And in reference to being alpha or beta, in my opinion there is really nothing more alpha then having hair on your body. Because that is something that is strictly distinctive to being a man seeing as how some women may have a mustache or hair on their arms, but NO WOMAN will have hair on their torso. It shows that you are undoubtedly a man.

Having hair on your chest in my opinion is a characteristic of being the ultimate man.

but the point of my post is abs. if someone has low bf and defined abs you can't see the abs if there is hair on it. if you don;t have a six pack i dont see the point in shaving.

I have a little hair on my chest, not too much but not too little as well, basically enough hair for it too look cool. Some girls love it, some girls don't, the real question is if you love it, your answer to that should tell you what to do with it.

No woman would have a penis or a flat chest. I think my dick undoubtedly makes me a man not my chest hair. Wink

So, being alpha is as easy as having chest on your hair?

Totally agreed. Being Alpha is just owning the shit out of whatever it is you do. I get my shaft and balls waxed, thats right waxed, but I own that shit and dont care what others think because Im confident in it, thats what girls pick up on. Theyre like dogs they can smell weakness.

Bro, Im not here to get into a dick measuring contest. Shave your shit, dont shave your shit....I dont really care what another man does with his body.

In regards to whether or not you can see muscle definition with hair on your body, unless you are truly a Woolly Mammoth you can still see definition. If showing off your 6 pack is your main concern then I guess shave it. But Im 6'3, 225 and in good shape and I dont get any complaints.

Personally I have tried once or twice to shave the hair on my body and I feel like a bitch standing in the mirror for 30 to 45 mins trying to shave my chest and back and shit just to look "cute".

But to answer you directly, I actually agree with you in reference to your ideas about being alpha and beta and it being confusing.

This alpha/beta shit has gotten out of hand. In my opinion the real alphas (if that term must be used) are the guys that run shit.

Warren Buffet
Jay- Z
Donald Trump
Puff Daddy
Muhammad Ali in his day
etc

Whether you have hair on your chest or whether or not you shave it is petty as hell in the grand scheme of things. Aesthetics and cosmetics are things that women sit around and worry about......not real men that run shit.

Neither am I, just trying to understand your thinking. Wink

And I agree with you that Alphas are the ones who run shit. Gandhi and Luther were real men but they do not fit the definition of an alpha that most most guys have.

So I have hair on my chest. I don't think it is bushy actually a balanced amount. Some t shits I recently gotten result in a little bit peaking over the neck of the shirt. Big deal? Or should I shave or wax that little bit so it can't be seen when I am wearing these t shirts? Thanks.

Samsamam, I'm in the same boat. I just make a quick pass of the hair that gets over the top of the collar about once every 10 days with my safety razor and I'm good to go.

Depends what you're going for.

In New Zealand we comb our chest hair up and over so it swooshes out the top.

RE: Shaving
Chest hair isn't as big of a deal breaker as you might think it is. Neither is stomach hair for that matter (happy trail.)
I used to shave my happy trail because I felt it didn't look right on me. After a couple months of lazily letting it grow, one of my girls was lying on her side rubbing me ad she started playing with my happy trail her. I looked down and said, I usually keep that shaved. It looks weird to me and I don't like it.
She says," the only guys that should be shaving their stomachs are body builders and male models. "
I replied with,"... And what do you think about that?"
" ehh, it seems girly to me and I guess I don't like that. Men are supposed to be hairy and as long as its not too much its sexy."
I laughed and had to ask " OK then, how much hair is too much ?"
"That's easy"', she goes " if it gets in my mouth when I'm blowing you, its too much and if it grows on your back.... Wayyy too much. Even a little back hair is too much back hair."

So to answer your question, no. Frontal body hair is not a bad thing but you could always do a little manscaping if it makes you feel better. And by little I really mean, a LITTLE. Personally, I'll trim off any hair that's swirling around my nipples. Completely off but that's it. And the occasional happy trail trim. I do like to keep my members area trimmed real low and shaved near the base.

As far as back hair goes, I don't have any and consider myself lucky. Most girls find it unattractive, at least the ones I've questioned out of curiosity have said this; however, good game will usually trump.her negative outlook on back hair. Just don't expect an after sex back massage as no amount of game will (usually) make her over look something she actively dislikes.

I'm quite fair but in my old age I've become a wholly mammoth and the hair on my chest has become dark, therefore I shave it. I've had women ask me to grow it out, I've had others say they prefer me shaved. Do what you like. If you're worried about definition showing shave. If you're not, don't. Doesn't really matter.

I don't mind the hair I have, I just noticed with a couple of the shirts it peeked out.

Maybe I just shave off the inch that is peeking out.
