So, there has been a lot of talk about this lately and I am not sure if this has been posted but it deserves a look. There are two parts so please watch and enjoy both as they are very imformative.

I want to say I have been to Colombia and had a great time. You are not going to go slay booty like some guys swear they do (Maybe in Medellin, maybe if you pay and are a Monger then yes..) but if you have friends there to show you around, do your homework and don't act like an asshole you will be ok. Oh and Spanish helps

Remember, Colombians are pretty cool, bieng drugged is not typical and of course this is blown out of proportion, but anywhere South of the USA this simply more common than other places in the world.

I got roofied in Amsterdam and poisoned in Ukraine. The stuff can happen anywhere. I haven't been to Colombia yet but don't see why everyone is focusing on this country when it comes to being drugged.

Unless you want to start scaring gringos away to keep it to yourself.

I agree its not that common and my intention atleast, is not to scare anyone. But in Colombia when it does happen its a bit more than just a roofie. Again watch the video then comment.

I already watched it.

It also sounds like stories of a friend of a friend's uncle got it. Definitely good to know and everyone should be conscious of this stuff happening everywhere.

My friend was roofied at a frat party. He was a guy and I guess he drank a girls drink. A couple of weeks later a guy in the frat got busted for roofying chicks.

Anyway, it happens everywhere. The guys on this forum are savvy travelers, many of which don't even drink that much b/c they are so concentrated on pussy.

Dash that is what makes it different from other roofies that people don't seem to understand. Most roofies, basicaly just intensify alchohol, so a girl/guy with a drink or two in them will feel like they have had 10-12. Most of the time when someone is roofied, they pass out and people take their shit, leave them for dead, or rape the unlucky person. But this you walk around like a zombie and are in a dream state almost.

I don't see what is so hard to believe though, if I dosed you up with LSD or some dippers or whatever, you might not be docile but you would def not be yourself after enough of it, you def could do some crazy risky shit that you would not do under sober circumstances.

I got drugged once in Thailand. Someone put something in my drink (probably a local) and I woke up on the beach, pockets empty. Very frustrating experience.

It's funny, they have been showing this exact same documentary at night on Belgian TV since a few days, repeatingly. Don't know why, it's not so common here.

Hey guys look... Colombia is a bit more dangerous that the USA. So just be a bit carefull that's all. But just to put things in perspective.

I've gotten jumped here in Jersey, a girl that was with me got roofied here in Jersey at a bar. An old friends car got shot at by some kid on a bike right here in passiac NJ.

At same time, I've seen a guy get robbed and stabbed in Costa Rica, and a motorcycle robbery in Santa Marta Colombia.

When you're traveling to Latin America most of you guys will stand out. Just be careful, use common sense. Look up safety tips and follow them. Anything can happen anywhere but try to stay as safe as possible without runing the fun. If you ever get robbed, don't resist, just comply.

I hate driving through some parts of NJ (newark). I had a friend who got shot in camden. I would take my chances in colombia.

People talk about latin american countries as if these things are non-existent in America or Europe. I dare any whiteboy or latino to walk Liberty City in Miami, in broad daylight! Or to walk crown heights in NYC or go to Latin King territory of Chicago.

The Colombians are a blessing in comparison to these mofos in Chicago/L.A who will kill you 'cuz its Tuesday, 'cuz it 4pm, 'cuz they lost a pair of socks in their last laundry load.....they don't even care about robbing you like the Colombians using Scopolamine.

I've never heard of anyone getting drugged and killed in any latin country because of pure boredom, and kicks.

I said this before MiXX, I never had a problem in Latin America, because I use my head.

On the flip side, I got in scraps in Germany and England with other white boys who were not 3rd worlders. You just never know.

Same in most poor neighbourhoods in any Metro area in France. Walk around there and you get robbed.

Sorry to have to add this, but i read about two separate scopolamine incidents, one in Cali and one in Pereira, both of which i am planning to visit. I think i will refrain from drinking in Colombia and possibly carry some extra cotton if i feel i'm in a high risk situation.

BTW, i believe that the "El Pais" newspaper is the equivalent to the New York Times or Washington Post in Colombia.

Cali Colombia, three women detained for using scopomine and robbing victims

In the wild, three women who robbed with scopolamine captured in southern Cali, accused of drugging two men and then rob them.

The three women took advantage of his physical attributes to rob their victims were usually university.

The judicial office held that there was no theft in the incident, although the prosecutor appealed the decision.

On Monday police arrested Angie Villada Higuita, Miriam Yurani Darlin Iral and Silvana Giraldo Castaño Grajales, 18, 20 and 24 years respectively, they were leaving a residential neighborhood Limonar. The women came with a laptop, an Xbox 360 and a briefcase.

According to authorities, they would have provided victims with psychoactive substance, called benzodiazepines, which attacks the central nervous system of people.

The prosecution insisted that the three accosted their victims, using their physical attributes to seduce them and give them the substance in drinks or food to steal their belongings. Against the three women there are two processes in Medellín.

The prosecution appealed the decision, which will be resolved in the coming days, a criminal judge of the Circuit, on appeal. The women were released but remain linked to the process.

Well, this is sad, but true. I have been travelling to Colombia for the past 15 years, and the worst that has happened to me is that girls I've banged will later tell me they missed their periods and are now pregnant hoping to get $$$ out me.

Pereira is one of my favorite cities for sarging women. Gringos are always targets becuase thieves assume you are filthy rich, and wipe your ass with money.

However, everyone should be very careful, and never take anything with you that you could not lose. I hope I never run into a situation like the one described above. Follow the normal safety checks when meeting new women as you never know if she just killed a man for $$$, or jealousy, or flat out revenge. Always let someone know who you are with, even if its the security guaed in your hotel lobby or a local buddy.
