Cool video, but I have a really hard time believing that this technology would work seamlessly. Live translation is such a challenging task because there are so many different dialects, accents, words that don't have translations, and many other issues. It looked good in the video but I imagine it often wouldn't work.

If it DOES work though, that's a huge deal. Skype is the least important field where this could take off. Imagine carrying around a device where you could speak into it and it would seamlessly translate your words to another language. Traveling, as well as game, would be so much more enriching and easier. Sadly though, I think we're a ways away from developing the technology to allow this.
