RE: Voluntary Human Extinction
I addressed the "procreation is the only meaning of life and if you don't do it, you have failed" argument by donating (probably literally) tons of sperm. Maybe right now some crazy lesbian couple is raising my biological offspring, who knows.

OP it's not about population, but CO2 emissions per head. Nobody here believes in global warming though, so I'm just going to politely step out of this thread.

RE: Voluntary Human Extinction
CO2 catastrophic global warming is the new religion, making minions fearful and guilty of living and procreating.

Gay cakes and trans bathrooms: the most important human rights issues of our times, surely.

It's not like my genes will be lost forever (a small part of mine will be lost I suppose, but children aren't exact replicas of ourselves either)but in the long run I feel like spreading my genes is irrelevant, what claim would I have to my 10th generation grandson when he has .05% of my genetic make-up, that I wouldn't be able to make with my brothers 8th or 9th generation grandson.

Most people hate hearing this, as I did. But here it goes.
When I was your age, I used to say almost the same word by word statement as you.
Fast forward to the present, my bird had two early miscarriages and it struck me in a way I never thought possible. And I used to think my brother was full of shit when he himself had experienced that before me.

I realize not wanting children right now is a pretty normal at this point in my life and might change in the future but when I'm at a stage that I want children that might change in the future as well.

Both a vasectomy and having a kid are irreversible and impactful life decisions but having a child far outweights a vasectomy in it's lifechanging nature and in the shackles it can impose on a man.
It seems weird to think I am maximizing my freedom by taking an option off the table but if that option would permanently change my life in almost every facet, it makes some sense to me.

It's a long video, but you should watch this:

These are my reasons.

If you feel so commited to society sure thing, and it's your choice as well so kudos for exercising it.

Don't be so sure about that. Some people come here because they want to get laid more but don't subscribe to alt-right ideology in its entirety.

I find the narrative of gynocracy leading to plummeting birth rates (if true) to be a good thing for the planet. The disintegration of the family and pair-bonding is bad, but fewer kids would be good. Plus, the most overpopulated hell-holes that have an ignorant "the more the better" attitude are where most of the world's problems are originating (like the Palestinian territories).

As the population goes up the value of any single human life goes down, like any commodity. I had a friend from China once who used to always shake his head and mutter to me about how life is cheap over there. That's a big reason why human rights abuses occur there (Tiananmen Square, etc...) and why nobody gives a rat's ass about pollution and cancer clusters, etc... It's borderline Soylent Green there.

I know me expressing these sentiments won't win me any friends on this board, but hey, that's how I sincerely feel about it.

Couldn't make it through 5 minutes, that was scary. Huh

Maybe a little too real.

In some ways I am similar. I can't see myself ever coming home to a family and being happy, but much of that is due to my own relationship with my family growing up.

RE: Voluntary Human Extinction
I'm pretty firmly in the childfree camp myself, but that's because of a truly messed up life experience with my own family.

I come from a family of type-A, anxiety prone, mentally ill, and physically abusive men.

My great grandfather was a criminal who died in jail. My grandfather beat his kids and left them with crippling anxiety. My father did the same.

My father spent his entire life salivating over middle management roles at large corporations. He was working abroad for most of the week, but when he returned home, he had a flippant temper and would beat me or throw me out of the house when he was displeased. Politically, he is a RINO, but a full blown cuck. He openly cheers for minorities displacing whites in the workforce and the USA. He's dedicated his entire career to HR inclusiveness bullshit. He has not given me one piece of meaningful advice on women, education, money, career, friendship, etc in my life. He's left me zero financial legacy. He spends 100x the effort to pander to minorities and attention seek on social media sites. He's spent his entire life in servitude to corporations, minorities, and:

My mother, who has been obese her entire life, shared the same pressure-cooker outlook on life and is a cold, cruel woman. She showed very little warmth during my life, and would always take my father's side during tantrums. She has seriously crippled me with women-when I encounter true warm, feminine energy, I get needy and hooked. Her male siblings are reclusive incels.

I don't see children benefitting my life, but it was the truly disheartening parent-child relationship that I experienced that sealed the deal for me. I owe my ancestors nothing, and will actively be cheering as our last name dies out.

If I were to ever have children, I'd change my last name and start a new clan.
