War on Boys in School
As a father of two boys which are a product of American public schools I have seen this first hand.
Thoughts?

"As our schools become more feelings centered, more competition-free, more sedentary they move further away from the needs of boys,” Sommers said. “We need to reverse the male averse trends.”

Fully agree.

This is a perfect example:

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/01/nyregi...steem.html

Boys are virtually ignored. They only receive attention when it's time to emasculate them, i.e. prevent them with playing with swords/guns as your article states.

Growing up, we had toy guns, bb guns, fireworks, rode bikes without helmets, etcetera. We took shop and mowed lawns while the girls took home ec…slight confession, I took home ec my senior year just to meet girls, with success Smile

Put them in private school, even private religious schools if you have to. Homeschool if that's the only option. Fuck the public school system and the teachers' unions.

I've got the dick so I make the rules.

Tell your boys that their job is to get good grades. Instill wisdom and give them outlets for being physical development. Encourage them to boss lesser boys and charm the women in their lives with love in their hearts (don't bully). Explain that not all boys are like them and that they're kings in the making and as kings they need to understand what it means to rule with charm and a little bit of intimidation.

Then tell them to challenge the teacher left and right. I wish i had more of what i know now growing up as I would have riped a new one in 99% of the s-hitty teachers out there. If it sounds like bullshit it most likely is.

During parent teacher conferences, if the teacher says your boys are "bossy" laugh at her and ask why is she discouraging leadership. Call her weak for not being able to lead with femininity.

Shalom Alechem!

To create a false sense of entitlement in them?

This will backfire when they expect the world to bow at their feet for no reason.

If think it's better to encourage them to understand the reality of the world and the truth of how it works. Not that they are fantasy Alphas. If they want to really rule, they need to earn it.

I thought that too initially when I read what he posted but what he says makes a lot of sense. Illusion is sometimes more convincing than reality. Do you want your boy to be the one that at least tries to throw the winning touchdown, fuck the prom queen, and tries in life with uncertain outcome or do you want him to be the one who holds back and doubts himself at every turn?

Quote:This will backfire when they expect the world to bow at their feet for no reason.
There's a difference between feeling entitled and being spoiled. When you feel entitled you feel that you deserve something and at times it's a powerful motivator. Being spoiled is expecting it to be handed to you.

No they'll need to work. If you read my post:

Tell your boys that their job is to get good grades. Instill wisdom and give them outlets for being physical development. (pardon the typo I was on the train).
and
Encourage them to boss lesser boys and charm the women in their lives with love in their hearts (don't bully).

Emphasis on love. When you love yourself, you love others more genuinely.

Knowledge and athletics are what make "alphas" alpha. The smarter and more well read you are gives a foundation for game. The bigger and more physically intimidating you are makes the applying your knowledge significantly easier. It channels that youthful angst into constructive areas for growth.

The moral of the story is to at least try. Without trying we get this old adage:
You miss 100% of every shot that you don't take.

He's pretty libertarian/red pill in many ways. He's a Mormon and I read somewhere where crying is an important way to express masculinity in that culture. That sounds interesting. I gotta find more details about this.

It's tough to both both challenge the teacher and get good grades. I've told my kids it's a game, and the teacher makes the rules that semester. Learn how to play it for the A.

Forget about dealing with public school teachers, they're underpaid and overworked and couldn't give two shits about one of the 40 kids in their class. Parent teacher conferences were always a waste of time for everyone involved.

I fully agree with your advice on instilling wisdom when we can, encouraging physical development, and telling them they're kings in the making and should lead their peers.

I agree with most of this, but there are guys who aren't athletes who are alpha..

The boy definitely needs to be held to a high standard though.

You don't need to be an athlete, but hitting the gym and lifting weights is the most important thing one can do to improve his leadership ability. In my anecdotal life experience, I have never run into a real leader that I can respect who doesn't at least hit the gym and lift weights.

It's more than just game, it's the body language and that is conveyed through sore muscles. I walk like a king after leg day and people register it with confidence even if I don't feel on top of my game myself.

Even the super alpha of my family, my uncle who was a founding partner in a private equity firm, is in his mid 50s and hits his own personal gym 4 times a week. For a 50 year old he's got fat but can certainly move weight like it is no ones business.

He cuts everyone down to size, even myself. It's quite a humbling experience and this can definitely be seen when he comes up to his wife. She doesn't dare talk back to him.

I agree too. The best bet way to challenge a teacher is to do it from a position of genuine questioning. Don't bring out the full frontal douchebag challenging guns, but instead pose a question that traps them in their own ideological bias. I had a teacher my freshmen year of high school who brought this skill out of me and subsequently she would silently fume.

I was, however never able to break an A-. Even the teachers that I liked and respected they always kept me at a 91-93%. Math and science I struggled at, but at least I was able to know exactly what I did right and wrong. I don't really respect most teachers and formal education.

RE: War on Boys in School
While for some the @gselevator tweet "I'd rather be me now than the quarterback in high school" may ring true, I will stress how important it is to have athletics in school, and how important it is to push your child to excel in sports. As a kid who didn't really hit my athletic stride until middle/high school, it was a huge boost for me to actually be good at something besides school. Huge improvement in self esteem, huge improvement in social circle, and it set me on a path to live a healthy life. Without sports, boys have no outlet for their testosterone. Why do you think that so many young boys are diagnosed with ADHD today? Prescription amphetamines every day for the rest of their life is not the answer. A little tackle football at recess might be. With schools cracking down on everything, trying to make the playing field level for girls, they are hurting boys. Let the boys fight in the mud, let them play outside. That's how you promote healthy kids that turn into alpha men.

There are so many options for sports these days too there's no reason not to be involved in something.

If my kid wasn't interested in team sports i'd definitely encourage them to take up wrestling, boxing, b. jiu-jitsu muay-thai, etc.. early on. If you can't play football at least you can learn how to beat ass and give off the same alpha vibe.

My outlet in school was music. I've taken violin and viola lessons since I was in third grade. If I had added on sports or at least some gym time, I would have been on fire with confidence.

When I was in school, I didn't feel discriminated against, but that was 16 years ago, and it wouldn't surprise me if this were the case now. The feminists will clearly love it if it is the case though.

The schooling system is broken and caters towards that of a more feminist ideal. Failure is punished, outbursts and athletics are pushed aside. They preach the fact that there should be no losers. What the fuck? In life there are winners and losers, if you don't show kids this (especially boys) they are doomed. A man cannot grow without failures, and it teaches the vast majority to become drones working for people that have had experiences outside of school. School has never defined me, I've always been good at it without studying, without putting much thought into it.

The school that all men need to go to is the School of Hard Knocks. We need to get our asses kicked sometimes, we need to fall down and get back up. If these experiences are pushed aside, we cannot grow and become the person we are meant to be.

this school told boys to not come to school ,and only for girls to be at school to develop their scientific ability *laughs*

Schools view boys as second class citizens.

Girls can't do well unless the competition is out of site.

And all to make girls pursue to a STEM field. I would rather have more men in STEM fields regardless, since men actually have the mental superiority to do STEM fields.

Also they did not build those robots...any child can follow instructions on a lego box and build a robot.

Stuff like this is why, come this fall, my son will be going to an all-boys school where there are multiple recesses per-day, competition is seen as normal, and the majority of the teaching staff is male. In other words, pretty much the opposite of America's modern day public school system.

It is stories like this that keep me motivated to stay on the path of MGTOW.

I work in a STEM field, and what keeps me from going crazy is I work with few women and the women I do work with are competent.

But now they are trying to push girls into STEM field careers because they are the only true growing field and they are male dominated. They are male dominated because women just don't have the aptitude for it. A few women do, the vast majority simply do not. They were not biologically designed to build and create.

So once all these empowered girls enter the STEM fields, using every last vacation and sick day, coming in at 9 and leaving at 4, and when a deadline hits it is up to the men to carry the work load, I want to have enough money to get out and never have to look back.

And I wouldn't want to have/raise kids in such a toxic environment.

RE: War on Boys in School
There's a handful of all male military academies scattered about the states. I went to one as a teenager, and it gave me a good hard dose of what it means to be a man, and a leader at a young age. It provides a good glimpse of masculinity. Though with the lack of the female prospects to date, one can also fall into being the chivalrous nice guy his elementary school female teachers always told him to be. Should I have boys, the resources and living back in the states, I would send them to a military academy. Let them hate me if they want, they'll thank me later.

It would behoove the country to invest more in all male schools. Whether military, trade, or prep. Boys need to learn how to be a man among men without influence from the feminine.

Dreams are like horses; they run wild on the earth. Catch one and ride it. Throw a leg over and ride it for all its worth.

There are many families who simply don't have the resources to fight the system.

For them I highly recommend Boy Scouts. Yep, sounds silly, but done well, BS can be incredible as a place for boys to get away from the idiot school system.

Regarding the women in STEM, at least Americans have employment-at-will. When you find out that a woman you hired is useless as an engineer and spends all day asking for help, you can fire her. Elsewhere people aren't so lucky.

I think homeschooling is bullshit, but no offspring of mine is going anywhere soft. I'd find the last ass-kicking British-empire inspired English school left and send them there. Cuddling boys and girls is shit for their health and long-term success. The girls can go to some conservative convent school and the boys to somewhere that punishes lazyness and rewards intelligence, resilience and ambition.
